Very nice Lodge which sits alone on a 50 mile stretch of high altitude National Forest (and meadow) on the Kaibab plateau about 18 miles north of the north rim of the Grand canyon. Very nice log main building with comfy large fireplace where the breakfast and dinner buffets (not included) are served. Our duplex cabin #8 was great. Good shower and beds and wonderful natural meadow view. Very good staff. Melissa, Beth and Kevin were particularly nice. They always took the time to listen to, and to address our concerns. They made our trip extra nice! Wonderful 4-night stay late October.

Kaibab lodge sits alone on a 50 mile stretch of National Forest (and meadow) on the Kaibab Plateau north of the north rim of the Grand Canyon. It is located about 18 miles north of the north rim. The lodge's main building is a large, comfortable log structure. The buffet breakfasts and dinners are served there. We enjoyed cabin #8 quite a bit . It was clean and comfortable with a great shower. We had a large window in front facing an expansive natural meadow. The staff was very good. Melissa, Beth, and Kevin were really terrific our whole stay ! They were hard working, and kept busy, but always had time to listen and to address our concerns . Their personal touch made our stay that much better. Wonderful 4-night stay in late October !

We stayed at the Kaibab Lodge on 9/1/24 and were very pleased with our stay. As other reviews have mentioned, this is more of a "rustic" type lodging. If you have the expectation, and want, the same type of lodging as the Hilton, you will be unhappy. The cabins are older and do not have A/C, so just be prepared for that. We opened our windows at night and brought a small table-top fan that we always travel with and we were very comfortable. The cabin and bathroom was clean, had shampoo and body wash in the shower, and was an ample size. It was a great place to have our dog join us at. I wish they did not charge so much for the breakfast ($19.95 per person). While we had no complaints about the quality of the food, what was served was more on par with a continental breakfast and was not worth the price paid. The north rim lodge also serves a breakfast, but with our visit happening over Labor Day weekend, the crowds were higher than usual and we were concerned we would not be able to get a table at the Lodge as it was first come first serve for breakfast and the Deli at the north rim lodge is dismal to say the least. We would definitely stay at Kaibab Lodge again. Tip: There is a gas station directly across the street from Kaibab Lodge. The price of gas at that gas station was $2/gallon higher than the price of gas inside the park at the north rim. They have gasoline and diesel inside the park by the campgrounds.

We knew that Kaibab Lodge was going to be really basic and rustic in spite of the huge price, and we accepted that for the great location to the North Rim. It was clean, so that part was great. What we expected, though, was much better hospitality. Our room that sleeps 4 had only 2 Keurig coffee pods, 3 coffee cups (one of which had coffee stains so had already been used by a prior guest) an almost empty tissue box, and the last straw for us: no ice machine. After paying over $200 for this very basic toom with 2 beds, a toilet and a shower stall, they still expected us to pay $3 for a small bag of ice. So disappointed by their lack of desire to create happy customers, because it really would have been a great option for future trips to the North Rim.

It was a very comfortable room on the first floor of a unit, not a cabin. Very clean, beds were comfy. The only issue was that the people upstairs woke us up at 2:30 AM and again at 4:30 AM walking around like elephants! The floors are not carpeted so sound carries. Of course the managent can't control this, but if you are a light sleeper (or regular!) you might want ear plugs. The walls were plenty sound proof. Maybe we just had bad luck. Overall, the service was super friendly and the food was great. I would stay here again!

The lodge is convenient to the Grand Canyon north rim - 20 min. It is the only place around. The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean. The view from the lodge porch was gorgeous- including the free range cattle that also come up to the lodge area. Dinner was a basic buffet.

A great experience in every way. This is my 3rd stay at the Kaibab Lodge (1st one with the reservation in my name). Clean, well maintained cabin. Supper buffet was excellent as always. Very relaxing atmosphere in the main lodge with the fireplace, bar, dining room, comfortable seating, big screen TV, and internet access.

Having EV charging makes this the five star place to stay if you are headed to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in a Tesla. ||Rustic cabin for sure…be sure to get directions on how to turn on the gas heater. We were coming from Page AZ and the navigation said we had enough to make it back to the Page charger…did not turn out that way and no way to charge in the National Park (South Rim had free charger with our lodging there).|| Very friendly staff and very nice lodge gathering area. WiFi in Lodge. ||Beware of no cellular service on the road into the area except in the Park near the rim and lodge.||Beautiful area full of aspen trees and Ponderosa pines…peaceful and serene. Be sure to visit the North Rim but come prepared.
