We have stayed at Camelback Inn many times. Today we arrived for a three-day stay, looking forward to our time at the Camelback. However, we have been disappointed several times already and it is only day 1. We arrived in time for brunch. We have had brunch at the Camelback numerous times over the years. The price has been about $35 for a full brunch. Because we could not arrive until later, we were seated at noon. We were shocked when the bill was $99 per person. What? There was no difference between the $35 brunch except for some additional hot foods. We only had one slice or the prime rib and it was cold. The chef who makes the omelets and pancakes has been there for years, too. He is always crabby and unfriendly. Today was no exception. When checking the breakfast menu at the hostess desk and online after leaving the brunch venue, we found no mention of the Sunday brunch being $99. We spoke later in the day to the manager, and all he could do was say he was new to the organization and did not realize that the price hadn't been published. For a high-end Marriott property, this is unacceptable. Our room is comfy. However, once again, high priced. Paper coffee cups. No napkins. No paper towels to put a piece of cheese and a cracker on. Marriott....you can do better. We have been loyal Marriott patrons but will rethink staying at The Camelback in the future.

This is our first family trip to Phoenix and this is a great convenient location. Service is awesome throughout the facility. It seems everyone is willing to help. Restaurants food menu is pricy but the good taste paired with great service let you fell they are worthy. Love the villa feel even we do not get lucky for suite upgrade request this time.

We came here on Resort Pass for 3 days in row to the pool and the staff was so friendly and helpful! The pool drinks and food were reasonable and delicious. The pool itself was heated and really great for us! Plenty of space to find a chair and enjoy. A couple special shout-outs to Nick, Emilia, and Luca. All great staff that helped us each day we came!

Very large and beautiful property. We liked staying in an individual casita rather than a large hotel building. Public spaces are beautiful but our room was dated and not in the best condition, especially considering the price of the room.

This is a very specific Thank You for some amazing customer service we experienced while doing a birthday brunch at Rita's this weekend. I was on the hunt for some hand lotion and casually asked a couple JW folks at the host stand inside. They promised to look into it and I went back to our group, not really thinking about it.

Next we know, Grant Weinmann, the F&B Manager I just spoke with, reappears at our table with a gifted 10oz bottle of their amazing high-end hand lotion... as a gift!

Little things like this create moments for your customers and those moments matter. Thank you Grant, that was next-level customer service and very much appreciated. Great job hiring great people Marriott. Looking forward to coming back next weekend!

Beware of booking Signature View Room! Despite the name, our room had no view (see pictures) and was adjacent to the (undisclosed) spa demo project. Despite not receiving a view room (and being located next to an active demolition site), we were still charged full Signature View Room rate, with only this explanation, "Please accept our sincere apologies for not meeting your expectations regarding the room you reserved. We do try to honor these requests; however, there are times when we do not have the room unoccupied and available." No adjustment was made to a standard room rate- which honestly would have been less than $200- $300 difference, on a $3200 stay. I have stayed at this hotel before with an actual Signature View room and Pool room and enjoyed, and the grounds are lovely, but would not return based on this experience and how it was handled.

Update: The property did reach out and adjust our room rate to reflect the situation after this review posted.

Beautiful grounds. Stellar staff — gracious and thoughtful and well trained. Pool is ridiculously small for a family resort. The rooms are just meh and could be updated , especially the bathroom. The rooms are not what you would expect from the JW brand No nespresso machine. Cheap generic coffee for the keurig. Coffee pods, tea, and creamers are apparently rationed. Cheap patio furniture. ||5 star staff. 5 star grounds. 3 star rooms. As charming as the common spaces are (and they really are special) this is not a luxury resort. It is a comfortable family resort, which is great if that is what you need. I would have chosen somewhere else for a relaxing quiet vacation.

I was here for a work conference and Camelback Inn does not disappoint. The resort is absolutely gorgeous - a luxury desert atmosphere with stunning views of the Camelback mountains. The rooms are spacious and clean and the service is top notch. Everyone that I interacted with was very nice. It was a little confusing finding my way around at first but I managed to nail down my route to/from my room to the business events after a few days haha. The restaurant options are good and the food served during the business events were very delicious. I enjoyed my stay here very much and would love to come back with my husband sometime!
