Cool hotel. An old power plant converted to a hotel. Great location & view. Lively location. Only thing I could see as an issue is it’s a bit of a party spot at night so if you’re out with your family after dark, you could be exposed to people drinking, we were okay with it. Food was great, the resort fee you pay is converted to restaurant vouchers. Parking is pricy, but consistent with other us hotspots. Pool area nice, work out area nice, gemstone museum is pretty cool, games area looks nice but have t been there yet. Kids meals at the restaurants off decent value. We have a high status at the hotel, we got a nicer room than we booked. Other perks with status was good (free little drink at check in), $10 food voucher per day, $16/day breakfast voucher & free coffees. Some maybe disappointed with vouchers vs other Marriott hotel so just mentioning what you get so you know what to expect. Also no club lounge. Check in lady was fantastic. Pool food was good value. I did enjoy leopalds ice cream, which is a short walk, it’s true ice cream (not frozen dessert), full fat ice cream, great whip cream and just good tasty ice cream with the perfect amount of sugar.

We had a great stay at the JW! Beautiful property that has transformed the old power plant into a masterpiece. Awesome theme styled hotel with amazing artifacts, shops, and restaurants. Room was comfortable, but a tad noisy at night facing the city side which honestly should be expected as there are bars and restaurants along the street. Only downside side is parking should be free in the garage next to the hotel for guests. Couple hundred bucks for a few days parking was not fun. One of those towns where there probably is t much for free parking anywhere. Huge money grab for the city from tourists. All in all a great stay.

We had a wonderful experience here. The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. They put us near the nightclub and we just wanted to go to bed after a long day of travel so they kindly moved us with no issue. Will in valet was wonderful and honestly I thought ever interaction with staff was excellent. There is a lot going on at the hotel so if you want quiet make sure you tell them at check in!
If I were to suggest anything a better breakfast menu for room service and a little better service in the cafe but it was a great place! Also super cool lobby! Dog friendly too!

Cool buildings. Hotel is spread out between three buildings. We were there with friends and ended up in diferrent buildings. Our room was in the third building and had a nice balcony where one could sit and watch traffic on water.
Nice to see then repurpose the buildings. Lobby had some cool items rocks, gems in it. Front desk staff seemed a bit overwhelmed when we were there. Asked for some help and items and twice was screwed up. Asked at 9am for bags to be picked up at 11:45 and was told by bellhop that front desk never communicated that. At 11:50 was informed information never was communicated and took 20 minutes to get bags. All and all staff were kind

My husband and I won a 2 night stay here for St. Patrick's Day. We are local to Savannah and have visited the Power Plant building dozens of times to wander through the gemstones and artifacts in the lobby and look up at the chrome dinosaur hanging from the ceiling. But we never dreamed we would ever have the opportunity to actually stay at this hotel, so when we won this stay we were so excited! (Especially because it was St. Patrick's Day!) We chose to valet park rather than fight the busy parking garages or try to find street parking during the busiest time of the year for Savannah. Renee at the check-in counter was fantastic! She treated us like we were the only guests at the hotel. She poured us champagne upon our arrival and when she found out we were local, she was quick to tell us that this hotel was for us...that Mr. Kessler intended for this hotel to be a giveback to the community and he especially wants locals like us to enjoy it. She then took our luggage and escorted us to our room in the Three Muses building where we had a balcony view overlooking River Street. Nightlife on River Street can be quite loud, so the hotel provided a noise machine in our room to block out the music and noise. Everything this hotel has to offer is top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

This is a great hotel to stay at when visiting Savannah. Right by the Riverwalk, and within walking distance to most attractions. The hotel itself is very unique with a massive lobby that doubles as a museum, it has a very modern and upscale feel. The rooms were nicely appointed and felt fresh. You are surrounded by restaurants and bars so you have plenty to choose from. The bars across the street do get a bit loud but other than that you will be pleased.

We just had a fantastic 3 night stay here. The service was top notch in every area. I especially appreciate the ability to text the guest relations staff with any questions, etc. and always received a quick response. The hotel is beautiful and the location can’t be beat. We stayed in a riverfront suite and the accommodations were perfect for us. I highly recommend staying here.

The lobby is gorgeous and its an unusual experience. There is a metal replica of a dinosaur that spans probably 100 feet across the top of the room. There are gorgeous gems and fossils in the lobby, which are unique. Not sure why this theme was chosen for Savannah as is not known as a Zone for fossils, but it was cool. A surprising change with this property in that they are now using an 800 service for the on-property front desk. it took us several phone calls to figure out that’s what the issue was. Because it’s such a large spread out property. we had questions about where a restaurant would be open that time of night and we could never get an answer that was correct. We were sent on a wild goose chase because they didn’t know the property They indicated they had recently switched to this 800 (what appears to be out of the country) service for the local front desk people. Surprising for JW to have that type of service. A little disappointed that some of the things in the room were a little worn such as deep dents and scratches on the desk chair and on the top of the ice cooler top, but we had a lovely view of the river. Another plus is that they give you a voucher to be used in a restaurant or bar that equals the tax and tourism fee of $36
