Came here for a weekend with friends, it was beautiful. The gal in the lobby was friendly and kind. They carry basically everything you may have forgotten or just need, from wine to breakfast food, to cute bracelets and local items. The rooms are huge and nicely decorated. The view from the deck was wonderful. Hearing the creek at night was so relaxing. Definitely will return.

Beautiful Sedona setting right up against Oak Creek. Check in was flawless. When we got to our unit we found it attractive with comfortable furnishings. As we settled in we started finding issues. There was only a very little bit of hand soap in one of the two bathrooms and nothing else in the unit. A few sheets of toilet paper left on the roll and no replacements to be found. A trip back to the front desk took care of the over site. Slats are missing from the living room blinds. No paper towels (we did get a roll the next day), hot pads, or dish towels in the unit. We had to pick up the promised daily delivery of fire wood after a couple of unanswered calls to guest services with messages left.

Was the place a value for the price we paid? I'm afraid not.

Location and views are great if you want to stay in oak creek canyon. The rooms are dated. We’ve stayed here 4 times and this last time I realized I don’t like that they don’t let you know what kind of room you’ll get. Is there a way to tour a room 1st? What’s with the locked room doors? It’s kind of creepy. It seemed like a bedroom and bathroom door were locked near each other. Does someone stay in those rooms? At night the light was on. Idk if they’ll admit to that but just know it’s creepy. We always notice spiders everywhere also. I get we’re in their territory but the webs aren’t even cleaned up. I love it here because of the hot tub and views but idk if we’ll return with the prices and I never seem to be happy about our rooms except room 28 so far.

I have been coming here since the late 1980s. |The staff has always been very nice. So, I check in 1/10/25 and let the girl at the desk know we would need firewood daily, which they provide one bundle daily. She said absolutely no problem. |Next day comes and no firewood. I call the front desk and say we were supposed to get wood. She says, well did you call today. I said no because it was set up yesterday. She then says she wasn’t here so she didn’t know and no I was too late to have any today. |No communication and a no responsibility accountability from the front desk. |I did not review the problems with the room earlier because I would have just let the front desk know. Which now is obviously pointless. So here are some of the issues|1- dishwasher left full of dirty, stinking dishes etc. Nothing to use for breakfast. |2- No toilet paper in one bathroom, almost used up roll in the other, and no replacements. |3- Had asked for one of three specific units, received response from Junipines that this was no problem and would be accommodated. Not so once I arrived. |4- No TV in second bedroom, unlike every other unit I have ever stayed in|Fine if a couple but when not, an issue||For the cost of staying here you would think the staff would take pride and keep the units in appropriate condition. |Out of all the years I have been coming here, this my first negative review. I have been noticing the last few years that things are deteriorating while the price keeps rising.|I only hope this trend reverses, because we have always loved coming here. |The majority of the staff is very responsive. Unlike the person I spoke with 1/11/25, who basically blamed me and refused to rectify the situation. Not her problem. This just reflects badly on all the good staff. Unfortunate.

Such a wonderful resort. We had the best experience. I would highly recommend staying here. The late summer tempter was just right. A chance to eat outside and talk about your day. Outside your room the private deck overlooking the valley and the peaceful sound of the river below. A place you could sit for hours in peace.

I am not sure how this place maintains 4.5 stars. The unit we stayed in was literally falling apart. Leaking skylight which filled up a large tupperware. Oven door that did not close and made it very difficult to cook, dishwasher leaked all over the floor, etc. etc. Also the rugs in the unit were FILTHY. Like gross filthy. Not like spots on them, like they have not been cleaned or changed in probably 20 years. I think the location must save this place. I am only writing this review, too, because I reported all of these issues to the front desk staff, none were addressed, I also emailed, no response/nothing addressed. If you want a place on the creek, it's great for that. If you want a nice accomodation, don't stay here. Total waste of money.

My husband and I stayed at this resort 30 years ago when it first opened. We drove up for the day and had lunch at the restaurant. The staff were amazing and the food was delicious. I regret that I didn’t get the name of the restaurant chef. He was so kind and because I wasn’t feeling well, he made me some chicken and rice soup for me. He didn’t have to do that but I am glad he did. His extraordinary kindness was something unexpected..Thank you.

They have the most honest staff! I lost my money, but one of the staff members found it, kept it safe, and returned it to me. A special shoutout to Patience, who was incredibly helpful throughout. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely visit again.
