We totally enjoyed our stay. Paul and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.|The decor at the inn is unique. Each room has a different theme. Because of the time of the year, we had our breakfasts inside. We understand in the warmer months, they serve breakfast in the courtyard. So sorry we missed that. Bardstown is a nice little town and The Jailer's Inn in right in the center.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Jailer’s Inn Bed and Breakfast, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The room was absolutely beautiful — spacious, tastefully decorated, and full of character that reflects the rich history of the building. The attention to detail in the furnishings and décor made it feel both cozy and luxurious at the same time.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety of options that were clearly prepared with care. The historical charm of the property adds a unique touch that sets this place apart from other bed and breakfasts.

If you’re looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in a place with both history and charm, Jailer’s Inn is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely stunning and full of amazing history. The owner is an incredible storyteller and weaves the background of the lodging into a beautifully immersive and interactive tour. If you're looking for a boring resort style experience with all the modern amenities, go find a Hyatt. If you're looking for a once in a lifetime experience in a very old (with all the quirks and craziness) and very possibly haunted place to lodge, this is it. Homemade delicious breakfast brought to you. Comfy beds, and beautiful rooms. Five stars all the way around.

Excellent experience! The rooms were warm, private, and comfortable. Easy walk to lots of restaurants and shopping. The owner, Paul, was so welcoming and hospitable and even sat with us at breakfast. Take a tour of the jail, even if you don't stay at the B&B. The history is fascinating.

We made a reservation for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. When we checked in, we couldn't find a safe parking spot. We had to park down an alley on a back street. We stayed in the Victorian room. As soon as we walked into the room we were hit by the smell... and it was MOLD. The carpet was so, SO dirty and the upholstery on all the furniture was worn smooth and looked like something put out on the street with a "take me I am free" sign on it. The paint and wallpaper was terribly worn and dirty. Next we noticed that the bathroom did NOT have a door...awkward. Then we noticed that the room did not have a thermostat...if we were hot, or cold...that was just our tough luck. We spent a miserable night waiting for daylight to break. We got up and gathered our things and checked out. We paid $497.02 for 2 nights and I asked the desk clerk about a refund for the second night. (I was polite and didn't complain about the room). She advised that only Paul could give a refund and she would let him know. Paul never responded. I found 3 different email addresses for Paul and I emailed all 3...Paul never responded. This place is absolutely historically fascinating...but it is NOT a place that you would want to spend the night.

Excellent location, not the most comfortable. Breakfast at 9:00 so plan accordingly we had booked bourbon tours at that time. Be prepared Victorian suite doesn't have a door on the bathroom just around the corner were earplugs 😆. Jail tour was interesting

Well I don't write many of these for Hotels, but I must say, the Jailers Inn was exceptional. Just driving through and they happened to have a room. Who wouldn't want to spend the night in a jail? The beds were surprisingly comfy, it's right in the best part of town, and the breakfast was amazing. We ended up spending another night. No spectral entities visited for us, but others say it's haunted. I would absolutely stay here again next time I'm coming through this part of the state. Don't forget to get a tour of the jail!

Very quick stay- just one night as we were passing through — but the service was great, the tour was so fun, and breakfast was AMAZING! The staff is incredibly attentive, and it’s in a wonderful location.

Breakfast was served outside in the courtyard, which made it even more special. The entire team was so kind and welcoming, and to top it all off, the property has the cutest bunnies hopping around. I even got to feed one, such a sweet surprise!

Thank you for such a cool tour of the jail and for making our short visit so memorable!

The manager came and fixed it but just didn't stay fixed|||the owner very nice and made us feel at home. I am bad with names think his name Ralph. Very knowledgeable about his inn and Bardstown. the food was good. We plan on coming back maybe in the fall. Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE. Will recommend to our friends.

Currently staying in the Jail Cell with my wife for a small anniversary trip. This place is really amazing and full of history. Definitely recommended The Jailers Inn if your looking for a getaway weather you book the Jail Cell which is very authentic, or one of their other beautiful rooms. The staff has been very friendly and informative. Paul the owner is amazing and the breakfast is delicious. We really look forward to coming back some day.

The Jailer's Inn was fine. Our room was clean and well thought out. The bed was too soft, but that may be a personal preference. The bathroom in the Nautical Suite needs a new toilet seat and aerator in the sink. It could use hooks as there is no place to hang used towels. Though we didn’t use it, there was only one robe.|When we arrived it was about 7:15. We were greeted by an older woman who though took us to our room and gave us the rules, offered us a rudimentary discussion about breakfast. When we told her we needed to be at the golf course for 8:00, she said breakfast was at nine and we could perhaps make it to breakfast the second day of our stay. She took us to the room, showed us the keys, and directed us to a coffee maker that we could use. There was a refrigerator. So why we couldn’t be provided with real creamer was a puzzle. We also noticed that the other room in the “annex” had welcoming chocolates. We received no such welcome. We did join the host for breakfast the next day. We stood in the front hall for quite a while not knowing where breakfast was to be held. Finally, Paul appeared, welcomed us and realizing we had no clue took us to breakfast. It was 55 degrees and breakfast was served outside! Paul turned on a patio heater for me, but it was insufficient. I was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was made and served by Paul. It was very good. Paul was welcoming and gave us a history of the Inn as we dined. It was obvious to us that the other “Inmates” already had become more intimate with Paul, his staff, and the property because they had stayed in the main house. After, Paul gave all of us a tour of the Jail and more history. It is a quirky B&B and I want to love it, but the owners need to find a way to include the people not staying in the main house. Perhaps, a binder with the days itinerary, places to eat, things to do in Bardstown. It would have been lovely to be welcomed at least with a cookie and some tea or even an offering of bourbon. I mean come on now. Bardstown is The Bourbon Capital of the World.
