I recently attended a small retreat for widows at Intermission Hogan House. To say it was a 5-star experience is an understatement. From being greeted upon parking, to a personalized gift basket & robe waiting for me, to delicious meals and fellowship...this retreat was restorative and life-giving. I felt very cared for and loved, and the other women did too. We were able to pause life and experience a true intermission. Shanna was an excellent host. She and her family made this experience one I will never forget.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Intermission Hogan House Bed and Breakfast, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality. The host went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, providing homemade treats during our stay.

The house itself is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The rooms were cozy and inviting, with every detail thoughtfully arranged to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

We genuinely loved our time at the Intermission Hogan House and can't recommend it enough. The combination of exceptional hospitality, a stunning home, and the peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect getaway. We'll definitely be back!

We rented a room for my parents so they could extend their visit at my house for the holidays and get a rest from all the activity of the grandchildren and their great grandchildren. My sister and I met them for breakfast at the hogan house and when we arrived we were greeted by the happy faces of my parents. They began to show us the beautiful details of the house. We shared a lovely breakfast prepared by our host, and after breakfast our host shared some of the history of the house. I enjoyed seeing my parents having such a good time. Thank you for a wonderful holiday experience for my parents.

Shanna is the most welcoming hostess at this exquisite property. My husband and I had the most peaceful and relaxing time. The place is nothing short of gorgeous, filled with antiques and paintings. So much to enjoy! It was refreshing to relax the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch, to grab a hot cup of coffee and freshly baked cookies, and to sleep in sumptuous bedding. Breakfast was beyond delicious. Such a treat to stay here. We will definitely be back. Oh, and the little town of Hogansville is full of charm. It’s a must-see!

I have to say I have made it a personal policy to never leave reviews, it's just not my thing. HOWEVER, my husband and I had the privilege of being Shanna's 2nd official guests and our experience was so wonderful, i had to break my own policy.
Oh my,, where to start!! First of all from the moment she greeted us at the front door we felt like we were long lost family being welcomed home. She showed us to our lovely room and then where all the common areas were. She made sure we had everything we needed and a fabulous recommendation for dinner, ( 404 Celsius, outstanding steak!).
Breakfast the next two mornings were some of the best we've ever had. A great start to the day.
Then there is the house itself. Since we were in town for a wedding, we chose the Hope Suite because it has plenty of room to get ready in. At least that's what I told myself. In reality, it's just gorgeous!!! I enjoyed having my coffee on the private deck before breakfast.
Over the years we have stayed at some very, very nice B&B's. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed any of them anymore than our stay here. Between the charm of the beautiful historic house, and Shanna's genuine southern hospitality, this is going to be one of Georgia's top B&B's.

On our way from Atlanta to New Orleans, we only wanted to spend a short night at the Hougan House. But it turned out to be so much more. Shanna, with her indescribable kindness, her cheerful and open manner, made us feel like old friends straight away. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, the whole house has a special charm, and a beer on the terrace in the evening made us forget the world. At breakfast (excellent, by the way), my wife and I had decided to cancel our hotel in Atlanta the night before our flight home and were very happy when Shanna confirmed that we had a free room. 2 1/2 weeks later our great impression of Shanna and her Hougan House was surpassed. We met her lovely husband and daughters and spent an entertaining evening in the hotel bar ‘1890’ of the Grand Hotel. In the morning we had a big breakfast with the whole family in the beautiful dining room. We left Hogansville and were already homesick on the journey to Atlanta. The following day, Shanna celebrated the official opening of the Intermission Hogan House. We were her first guests. We hope that many more will follow. Chris & Rolf vom Munich, Germany

We spent our 27th wedding anniversary weekend here. What a delight! Very restful and hospitable. Hogansville is a cute little town and Shanna was a FANTASTIC host. Accomodations were wonderful and the breakfast is AMAZING!
