Great place to stay if visiting the Oregon District!

The wife and I stayed here overnight so we could visit a friend who played at a nearby bar. Our expectations were exceeded!

This is an old late 19th century house converted into a few hotel rooms. The one we stayed in "The Oporto" was on the second floor. It actually consisted of a bathroom, dining/kitchenette area, and bedroom. All of which was private (key and deadbolt doors), and did not share any common areas with other guests. There was ample space to accommodate us. Overall it was a "home away from home".

The common areas with the lounge, continental breakfast dining area, and Deaf Monty's were nice. The use of space was well done. And what appeared to be the original room carvings and moldings provided a warm atmosphere.

The staff were excellent. The owner herself greeted us, and gave us some information about the neighborhood we were staying in. The other woman who helped checked us in gave us a tour of the rooms, and also helped us select a nice bottle of wine to drink later that evening.

Overall I highly rate this as a good place to stay. Its quiet (at least in the Winter), warm, and tons of space to relax in.

Had a very enjoyable stay although too short to fully take in all Dayton has to offer. The cheese and olives were delicious and the atmosphere was friendly and quaint. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I were in town to attend a convention and this place was perfect. Cozy, clean rooms. Nice selection of foods for continental breakfast. Walking distance to the convention center as well as being in the heart of a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and eclectic shops.

Such a wonderful stay in a delightfully old building. Stayed in the Port/Oporto room for 5 nights over Thanksgiving 2023. My area was quite spacious and comfortable - a little chilly (however I am from Florida) but keeping the bedroom door closed helped a lot.

The inn in located in the heart of the historic Oregon District of Dayton, Ohio which has quite a few interesting stores, coffee shops, and restaurants all within close walking distance.

I stayed 5 nights during Thanksgiving 2023.

There is quite a bit of common space on the first floor stocked with coffee, snacks, fruit, OJ, etc. I did have a coffee pot in my room but I liked coming downstairs for it and lingering.

I felt safe and welcomed. Leslie is a great hostess and seemed genuinely concerned about my comfort.

Wonderful experience, would recommend and will return.

What an amazing experience we had at this historical bed and breakfast! Our hosts were accommodating and friendly. Leslie made us feel very welcome and treated us like family. Super location close to lots of restaurants. It was nice to have continental breakfast items available all day in case you wanted a snack. The beds were comfortable and cozy and the rooms were large. Highly recommend!

This place takes you literally back in time. The wine selections were nice and very friendly service. They don't stay open too long but I will say this is for a mature people to come and relax and take the moment in and you can also purchase your wine to go. They do have cheese and crackers so don't expect to come and get full it's samples. Can't wait to go back, this is a place to where if you really don't know about your wine start here and it's inexpensive to sample

We feel so fortunate that we stayed here on our first visit to Dayton, because it was such a friendly, warm introduction to the area. The accommodations were perfect for us. For a very reasonable price, we had the Oporto suite, which included a kitchen. And the location was perfect, right in the Oregon District just steps away from some wonderful restaurants and bookstores. Like other reviewers noted, it was great having a parking space with our name on it! And the common areas were wonderful. It was nice staying in an inn with history and charm and an amazing attention to detail.

My dad and I stayed here for two nights, while we visited the National Museum of the United States Air Force. It's an old building that oozes charm, and we had a ton of space to ourselves. It was great to be able to head down the common lounge area and put on some Nat King Cole vinyl to listen to while having morning coffee!

Leslie was a great host, and made sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. I'll be coming back to the USAF museum - it's enormous, and two days wasn't enough to see it all, and I'll certainly be checking to see if Inn Port has room for me when I come back.
