Best crab sandwich I've had. So buttery. The crab meat tasted so fresh. The price was pretty steep, but it did have a lot of crab on the sandwich. I can't wait to try more of the menu!

We had the oyster basket and the oyster sandwich. Full belly oysters and plenty of them. Not heavy breading, which helped to keep them light. The onion rings were large, hot, and fresh. Wish we lived in the area. We would definitely eat here more often.

Very honored to be the 2000th review - this place was absolutely delicious. Came across state lines to try this and it did not disappoint. The clam chowder bread bowl was a huge portion size and every bite was tasty. As for the fish and chips, it was crispy and fresh. I would opt for the fries next time. Otherwise great price, service, and quality food.

I was craving halibut for MONTHS and knew I wanted some when we visited here from California.
The sweet younger gal at the front that assisted my husband and me was SO helpful! I was initially going to get the 3-piece halibut but she told me about the halibut bites that come with 4 pieces but are a bit smaller! It was absolutely divine. I can’t even explain how much it exceeded my expectations. The fried pickles are just perfect - they’re not covered in breading/oil and keep that pickle taste and texture while still satisfying the craving. Their crinkle cut fries with Old Bay seasoning are so, so good. And that coleslaw, oof. Just absolutely fantastic. I’m not joking when I say I think about this place at least 2x a month until we visit again.
My husband got the clam chowder and I was envious (it’s that good) so we went back the next day for more!
Love the complimentary water station, also. If I lived near I would go broke, haha.
Thank you for being amazing and consistent, Hungry Clam!

Maybe we just have really high standards for a “fish fry” but coming from Wisconsin, we’re known for our old fashions and fish fries. Between the well over an hour wait, the food was just meh to me. The French fries were better than my halibut bites. I felt like I was eating an expensive fish stick. I wish the breading was light and fluffy like what we have around by us. Or even beer battered. My husband thought the shooters were good, but I didn’t like it. They were huge. Biggest oysters I have ever seen. So, when I eat them raw, I prefer to eat them from the shell and raw horseradish on them, nothing else. My son devoured his steamed clams so I was happy he enjoyed those. My girls liked their burgers. For how expensive our bill was, I expected more 🤷🏼‍♀️

This place is amazing. Is your are looking for authentic fish flavored and super creamy and tasty clam chowder soup this is your place. My and my husband try and find this place excellent. A lot space and clean table's. Clean bathroom and close to the ocean. Fear prices.

New! I had the crabcakes and got double slaw rather than the french fries. Honestly good coleslaw not too sweet. The crabcakes were buttery and did not need much tartar sauce if at all. The third sauce could use a little more pickles and dill to avoid a mayonnaise bias. Lots of real crab and nut much filler if at all! Hard to find better even in a five star sit down!

Food is very "meh." Nothing to be excited about, or feel good about eating or purchasing. The clam chowder was very thick and served warm (not hot). We got a combo basket: the calamari was super thick and inedible, fried oysters were XL and inedible, fried clams were good, french fries undercooked, fried shrimp OK, fried cod was good, and coleslaw was dull-colored and not vibrant at all.

Try for yourself and tell me I'm wrong!

The service was fine, and they do have a good location at the harbor. However, there are much better options in the area.
