Since things moved to tishomingo things seem to be going a lot smoother. I actually got a letter in the mail letting me know to renew my benefits for one! Also been easier to get ahold of my case worker when I need to lately as well overall things have turned around for the better but I'm still unsure i do appreciate the services they are trying to offer and such. Think of this view point as someone who thinks of hsd as beta software or game it's still in development there's some bugs still that's why there's a 3 star rating.

The Johnston County Department of Human Resources puts people first. I have been a recipient of their assistance many times. Their services range from providing clothing, helping with food stamps and care for the elderly.

It's a good idea to call and make an appointment to see a caseworker. If you don't have one you will be assigned a person who will happily walk you through any forms necessary, and even hold your hand if you need it.

Please note they are a governmental agency and keep the same hours and holidays. They assist a large number of people everyday, so please be patient.
