Perhaps the biggest challenge cycling the OTET trail is finding a place to stay overnight . This B&B is perfectly located on the route. On a hot, humid July day after riding 50 miles what I wanted was an air conditioned room and a cool place to relax. What I got was a hot attic β€œsuite” with a window air conditioner two sizes too small for the square footage. It finally cooled the room by midnight. The first floor common areas and the breakfast area are not air conditioned. Breakfast was OK, no juices, muffins, fruit or anything one normally expects from a B&B. So, 5 stars for being well located and a generous 2 stars for everything else.

Only a one night stay but enjoyed every bit of my stay. I was cycling the Ohio to Erie Trail. Patti greeted me a smile, provided secure bike storage, room was ample and clean. Hearty breakfast and conversation topped of my brief stay. Will stay here again.

We stayed in this gorgeous, stately Bed and Breakfast in the quaint town of South Charleston, OH. As you walk in and see the beautiful woodwork and furnishings from the turn of the century you are transported back in time. But we had a wonderful surprise waiting for us in our suite on the third floor. It looked like a rustic cabin! It was incredible! The living room was spacious. The bedroom was beautiful with an incredibly comfortable bed and the bathroom was absolutely huge! Our host was very nice and our breakfasts that we were served were scrumptious. I can't say enough wonderful things about this relaxing Bed & Breakfast in South Charleston, OH.

We were a group of 10 bicycling from Cincinnati to Cleveland and were able to stay in the whole house. The owner, Patty was very accomodating. She allowed us to keep our bikes in the garage. We were able to let her know what time we wanted breakfast in the morning. Patty also allowed us access to dishes and glasses in the dining room. After along day of bicycling, our group enjoyed being able to take a hot shower. We picked up some pizza at the Purple Monkey and brought it back to the house. We enjoyed a great evening sitting out on the spacious front porch eating our pizza and drinking wine. The house is in a very nice neighborhood

This is a very nice B&B in a small town not far from Springfield or Yellow Springs. When we opened the door it was like stepping back in time to a stunning entryway full of beautiful woodwork. This house is from a great era when craftsmen created works of art in the home. So glad the owners have loving maintained the original look and feel of the home. Owner was a very gracious host. Room and bathroom were good sized and comfortable. Good breakfast. Very nice place to stay.

Our stay was wonderful. Upon entering the B&B you are welcomed by a magnificent staircase. The detailed work of the wood and leather winding thru the entryway and up the stairs. The parlor and sitting room artfully decorated. Breakfast was very good. Meeting Patty is like meeting an old friend. We loved our stay.

Patty is awesome! This is the only lodging in this small town, and it does a great job in setting an example for a B&B. Good rooms, Breakfast is discussed when you check in the night before, and overall is a part of the vacation, not just a bed to sleep in before the festivities.

In late June, our group of 4 rode from Columbus to South Charleston(40 miles) to arrive at the bed & breakfast wet and tired. The house is located direcltly on the Ohio to Erie bike trail!.|| Patty, the owner, greeted us and allowed us to park our bikes in the garage. The house is gorgeous with exquisite woodwork in the common areas (entry, dining, living room, stairs). ||Our rooms were very spacious and plenty of storgage. A wall unit kept the room cool and bathrooms were great and TV's are in each room.||Patty prepared eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt parfait and offered fruit Well worth the visit.
