I only booked this because I was celebrating my fiance’s birthday and it was close by. I called before booking to make sure we were going to be able to be checked in even if we arrived passed a certain time and I was reassured that it wouldn’t be a problem. The day of I also called to let them know I would be checking in at a later time and again was reassured. When I arrived no one was at the front desk or even anywhere in the lobby…We waited over 20 min, exhausted. We rang the bell and still nothing. I called and spoke to someone and he mentioned I was going to be refunded and it’s been over 20 days and I have not received my refund. I had to go through loops and was given the run around to get my money back and I’m beyond frustrated

Good location, staff was friendly at check in. Hotel itself is okay. There is zero noise insulation so you can hear every single foot step and conversation the people near you are having. Pretty awful night sleep, truly considered driving home. Both of us had to sleep with head phones in.

This is our second stay at Hotel Callista in the past 4 months. Amit personally ensured that our expectations were exceeded - and they were! He is a genuinely warm, welcoming, thoughtful and professional person. Our room was clean, bright and comfortable. Convenient location, safe parking and elegant, tastefully chosen decor throughout: a mix of classic and modern. My personal favorite: the Nespresso machine in our room! I looked forward to it every morning. The front desk staff is courteous and attentive. We will return again and again, every time we venture from Long Island to Connecticut. Thank you for another pleasant and easy stay.

Stayed for night since we saw a concert at the nearby casino. The staff was friendly and even worried it's ahead of time that the elevator was down. The rooms were decorated and minimalist fashion which seemed appropriate giving it's a new hotel. The shower pressure was fantastic. Good air conditioning units as well. The TV was a little finicky but that's not why we were there! Overall, would definitely recommend, especially in comparison to its competitors in the area.

So...This is a hotel that used to be a centuries old home. It has been very nicely refurbished. If you need to be at a cookie cutter hotel you may not like this. We like unique and enjoyed our stay.

Brand new boutique hotel in a renovated old building. Amazing crystal chandeliers and restored hardwood floors and an ornate fireplace in the lobby lounge area. Rooms are spacious with 10 foot windows and a marble iron fireplace with great detail. Big bathroom and of course a brand new firm mattress. Located right down the street from downtown Norwich and a 10 minute drive to Mohegan Sun. Would highly recommend for someone looking for something with personality and charm over the generic hotels in the area.

The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are cute and clean. My only real concern is no vent fan in the bathroom of our room. After a shower it looked like it rained in there, every surface was wet.
Great service at the front desk, everything worked well, we were very comfortable.
Only a 10 minute drive to Mohegan Sun.
The hotel itself is on the corner of an intersection and there's not much for view if you're looking for one. Our window abutted the building next door and surrounding multi family homes, there was a lot of light coming through the blinds at night. But it was very quiet in our room, we never heard anyone else.
