Happily surprised to find a well taken care of cared for gem 💎 in the heart of town. Clean, friendly staff, well preserved rooms and decor, feels like walking into a John Fante novel. After a long couple of days of hiking, the claw foot tub was a sight for sore eyes! Would definitely stay here again!!

Went for Magic in the Redwoods. A local event for Mtg. They had specials going on for people staying at the hotel. The rooms were great. Shower pressure was great. Continental breakfast wasn't great but it rarely is. Will definitely be staying again next year.

Wow! Does not live up to advertising. We were promised a 2 bed "business" suite for 3 people. The pictures showed beds and a (we assume pullout" couch. We walked into a tiny 1 and 1/2 (small office) room, with a rollaway. It would work if the one bathroom were in between the "bedrooms". Nope!

No doors in between the rooms. The 2 people in the Queen bedroom have to squeeze past the 3rd person in the other room.

TV remote is broken. Tried replacing batteries. You get volume and channel control. But you have to pull the plug to turn the TV off

After a 13 hour drive, I walked in and was greeted by Michael at the front desk. Looking like a wizard, he was kind, informative, and funny as well! I loved everything about this spot and honestly can't wait to get back up there. Also, he'll never admit it, but it's definitely haunted. I'll get proof someday

Staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. We were only staying one night, but it seems like a great location right in the center of town. The only thing we would've liked to have in the room was a mini fridge and microwave.

Nice historic inn right on the central square in downtown Arcata. Great Saturday farmers market, lots of activities. Walkable everywhere. A bit chilly at night but overall comfy. Had a 2 room suite with pullout couch and 2 bathrooms. Felt comfy. Breakfast is included but not good. Coffee and old apples with some oatmeal packets. But lots of options there. Cool old feel to it.

This hotel is highly overrated. Aside from the very nice entrance hall, the room was very basic, the bathroom was in pretty bad shape, and there wasn't even a bottle of water. The breakfast was ridiculous, there was practically nothing but donuts. No eggs, no bacon. Nothing hot. If we add that in the square in front of the hotel and in the surrounding streets there was a constant presence of homeless, we can conclude that the hotel is not worth more than 100 usd a night.

What a refreshing relief from the standard corporate all look alike places like the Clarion in Eureka. This place has charm and taste and old world sensibilities. The rooms are small, but charming. The lobby is tasteful. There is a fantastic sushi restaurant just off the lobby. One of the best anywhere. The hotel is located right on the main plaza of Arcata, where there are lots of charming shops and nice restaurants.
The staff is terrific. Easy parking.
