My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was just a quick drive to anywhere and a short walk to an excellent view of the city. Breakfast was really good and gave us time to get to know our hosts and their adorable dog, Luna. We even ended up staying a second night because we felt so comfortable there and we were too tired to drive all the way home after a day at the zoo. They were very accommodating and we will definitely come back if we are ever in Cincinnati again.

What a jewel of a find. Breakfast was great and different. I am a vegetarian and they accommodated me with flair. Loved my room with great bedding. I took walks in the neighborhood and enjoyed all the different homes and small trails nearby. Barry and Ethel took me for cinc ice cream and drove me around to see some sites. So pleased with this find.it was like visiting family each time. It's not fancy but so worth the stay.

The owners were really friendly and super helpful with all of our questions. Had no problem accommodating all of our needs. Breakfast was always on time (And very tasty). There was a little bit of renovating going on but honestly, I didn't mind at all, I hardly noticed.
Bonus- Their dog Luna was a precious baby.
Next time I'm in need to staying uptown again, I'll be trying to book there.

My adult daughter and I stayed at the Hopkins Bed and Breakfast 1/14/17 - 1/16/17. The hosts: Ethel and Barry were very nice, accommodating and provided very interesting conversation. Also, they had the sweetest dog, Luna. The homecooked breakfast was tasty and the coffee was excellent. The historical home could use some TLC with attention to detail. However, given the price per night, it was a good deal.

This was my first Bed and Breakfast and it was a great experience. When I looked on Expedia this place was listed among the other choices and the price was very affordable. ||||It is requested that you call ahead of your arrival in order to notify them of your arrival time. The house is across the street from a great park with reading benches and tables to sit at (it lights up at night with fire flies). There is a railing that has been put up next to the front steps. There is plenty of parking outside of the home as well.||||Ethel greeted me upon my arrival and welcomed me to their home. I was shown my room, as well as the washroom (shared with other guests) and gave me information on the door code and wifi. ||||The room was very comfortable. clean and had plenty of space in it. There was a dresser, closet and double bed. The room also had a TV and window air conditioning unit. The other rental room is a touch larger and has a sitting area in it. ||||Previous reviews commented on the bathrooms flaws which have now been changed. There is a linen closet with supplies and fresh towels. The toilet is newer as well as the sink. The bathtub/shower is a bit run down but it is an older home.||||The breakfasts were served at 9. There was coffee provided in a french press. On my first morning we were served Goetta (a German inspired Cincinnati special of meat and grain sausage). Ethel also made a special dish of egg, nectarines and raisin bread. On the second morning there was fruit, scrambled eggs and biscuits. Time around the table with Ethel, Barry and other guests was definitely a highlight. ||||Ethel and Barry have a dog names Luna and she was a blast to have around. She is very friendly and good with guests. ||||The location of the B&B is great. It is about 10 minutes from the Cincinnati Zoo, 5 minutes from the university, 5 minutes from Over the Rhine (a popular district for restaurants, shops and park) 5 minutes to downtown and 10 minutes from the Stadiums (Great American Ballpark and Paul Brown Stadium). ||||It is well worth checking out if you are heading to the Cincinnati area, looking to meet some new people and find a place close to all the action.

I spent one night at the B&B. The couple who own the house are very pleasant. ||Pros:||Comfortable bed||Nice towels||Cons:||Window A/C that didn't really cool the room||Creaky floors||Bathroom with older tub and no counter space||Mirror in bathroom is difficult to use for applying make-up||Breakfast isn't served until 9:00 - no other option||||The price wasn't too expensive, but I wouldn't stay here again because the bathroom really needs to be remodeled. (The toilet and pedestal sink look new, but the layout isn't convenient.)||My room had rather large dust bunnies next to the the nightstand. I'd say it hadn't been swept in a while.

Very friendly owners and with a sweet puppy. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and it was a bargain! Location is great. It's close to downtown without being caught up in the hustle and bustle. You are less than twenty minutes from most major Cincinnati attractions.
