I was surprised my room had a mini fridge and a microwave! Very cool. The shower pressure was amazing, especially after driving all day x-x the heater works but if it's a cold night you might have to turn it alllll the way up. I came in at 4am looking for a cheap place to rest and this place exceeded my expectations. Good job.
I wanna also let y'all know that the entrance smells like incense in a very pleasant welcoming way. And well decorated. I like it 🙂

Don't book online!! In real life this is the liberal inn, not hometown inn by oyo. You'll have a much better experience if you work with the front desk directly.

I've stayed on a few occasions, each under different circumstances. The owner/manager is SO kind. She was extremely accommodating, helpful, & VERY understanding of my situations. The rooms have been VERY clean. I've had zero problems w/ the toilet, shower, fridge, or microwave. The beds are comfy & clean. If you need a place to stay when in Liberal.. this should be your destination. The price is exceptional. In all fairness, if you're looking for a SUPER fancy place, go to New York. This place, however, has been exactly what I looked for & needed.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Home Town Inn in Liberal, Kansas, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. This is a larger hotel, but it still maintains a peaceful, quiet atmosphere that made my stay very comfortable. The rooms were not only clean but also refreshingly updated, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.

The staff provided excellent service, making sure I had everything I needed during my visit. They were friendly, attentive, and made me feel at home right from the moment I arrived. The hotel itself is located in a safe area, which added to my peace of mind throughout my stay.

Overall, I highly recommend the Home Town Inn for anyone visiting Liberal. It’s a great balance of convenience, cleanliness, and comfort. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in town!

Do NOT stay here! After driving 12 hours all we wanted was a warm shower and comfortable bed. Lady at the front desk said I needed to pay more, since I apparently only booked for one person, my mistake. There was another fee as well that I still don’t know what it was for but if I paid cash there wouldn’t be more. I didn’t understand what the fees were, and when I asked, she got mad and told me she didn’t appreciate me not trusting her and was “offended”. Wow. Room was freezing even though wall heater was set at highest temp, 84. No extra blanket. Called front desk. No answer. Ok, I’ll walk up to front desk. All lights in halls were turned off and pitch dark. Couldn’t find it but was happy to find our room! Slept in sweatpants and socks. Terrible soap and shampoo. Towels were terrible.with holes! Bed was okay except freezing cold.
We travel a lot and love staying in vintage locally owned motels rather than chains, but this was the very worst ever.

Absolutely horrible experience, i booked online, and when came to check in they refused me a room unless I paid an extra room fee... So long story short I'm in filing a fraud report with my MasterCard and with the hotel bureau because the desk lady said I got a room, when I have proof she refused me a room unless I paid her extra room fee, and I had to book a room at quality inn across the street. If you book online be prepared to get scammed. If I could give them a zero review I would. And they will reply to this review saying they have reached out and try to make it right, when the truth is I've talked to the hotel owner and they made it clear they are never refunding me!

I just have to say this hotel is so affordable and so quiet and peaceful. The bed was so big and comfortable. Very friendly staff. I travel to liberal ks every week and i will only stay here from now on. NO JOKE! I had issues with expedia and this was a saving grace!!

Absolutely Aweful Experience!!
Booked and paid in full online through priceline. However after arriving at the inn to check-in, the woman at the front desk wanted to charge additional "fees". The woman said my online price was "too cheap and she didn't make a profit unless she charged additional at check-in". After contacting priceline who confirmed that I shouldn't have to pay extra, the woman at the front desk still wouldn't give the room without the "extra fees", and by this point was so upset that I had given her a hard time about the extra she said she give me the room anyway. She canceled my room, kicked me out, and kept my money!!! Priceline was unable to resolve things with her but told me to get a different hotel and they would get my money back from the inn. Probably the worst customer service experience ever!

Hometown Inn by Oyo was by far the worst motel we’ve stayed in. Ever. Upon check in, the woman informed me that I booked for only one guest, and there were two of us, so there was an additional charge. Fine. My mistake. there was another fee which she didn’t explain well and I asked about it and she snapped back very rudely that she was offended that I don’t trust her, etc. i apologized for sounding like I didn’t trust her, but just like to know what I’m paying for, and could I get a receipt, especially since she took cash for the additional $17. She met us at the room and turned on the heat to highest temp 84, gave me the remote and said after it warms up, just set it where we were comfortable. Her rudeness was very unsettling. Heater on the wall never did warm up. Freezing all night doesn’t provide a good night’s sleep. I tried calling for an extra blanket, but no answer. Tried to walk to lobby but all lights in halls were turned off and pitch black. We had to sleep in socks and sweatshirts. The hand towel was worn with holes! I could go on and on. |Never did get receipt. |I wish I would have booked through Travelocity! I would recommend not including this hotel in your offerings.
