Homestead RV Community - Theodore, Alabama

We were passing through Alabama on our way to FL, as part of hurricane relief, and we spent the night in Theodore, AL at Homestead RV Park. We were pleasantly welcomed by Ed & Monica (the owners). We informed Ed we wouldn’t arrive until after 2 AM and he was extremely accommodating. He suggested we select site 42 because it is a pull-in and super easy to park in, especially when sleep deprived. Surely, he was right! And it was right across from the park which boasts beautiful tress that canopy over the swing sets and a pond/lake ❤️! Noticeably clean and tranquil. We truly enjoyed restful and peaceful sleep.

We are so pleased with the hospitality and warmth we experienced here at Homestead in AL, incredibly refreshing. I read Ed’s bio on their website and he is a very accomplished and intelligent man, yet presented himself in a very humble and modest manner, as did his wife. Thank you both. We will certainly visit again when traveling through AL, and most definitely recommend you to others. God Bless you!

The owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!!! The grounds and bath house are very clean. Large RV site, extra wide. They had some really great ideas like Jacuzzi rentals and online store that delivers right to your RV.. pretty cool! I would say the only thing that caught us off guard, was the extra charge on electricity if you go over 25 kWh a day. It wasn't expensive, just threw us off. ? We definitely understand it from the business side, just have never seen it in the 25 years of camping. It was listed in the paperwork, just didn't read that far into the paperwork. All in all we gave them a 5 and think it is a great RV camping spot.

Great park in a great location with lots to do near by. Largest rv spots I’ve ever seen at a park. Bath house is well up kept. Staff was very friendly, helpful and easy to get a hold of. Definitely will be back again. The park has some really pretty views with large oak trees and a dog park and a lake that you can fish in

We spent a week here and loved it. It's a newer park with great amenities that's well-maintained. The paved sites are large and level with full hook-ups and wifi. There's a large dog park with a bench in the shade and a dog-washing station. Lots of big shade trees, a playground, shower house and laundry room. They're finishing a pool house now (Oct. 2024) and will have an in-ground pool open next year. We had good cell service with Verizon. Close to Dauphin Island. Nice people!

Homestead RV Community is a clean and very well maintained place. The beauty of the community is only rivaled by the friendliness of the staff and owners, who are on site all the time.

There are hot tub rentals and the owner runs an online store that can get you everything from RV necessities to a portable fire pit, and there is no wait for these items.just download the app for rentals and community updates.

The property features a play are for the kids, dog park, and fishing pond full of fish. I spent many evenings with my boys pulling out hand sized bluegills.

The property is quiet at night, very safe and secure, and your neighbors are friendly.

Trash pick up every morning is complementary.

I spent 10 months here and I will return, I give this place the highest recommendation. It's very well situated, about 20 mins from Mobile and the same to Dauphin Island.

Whether you're staying for a month or just a weekend passing through, this is the place for you and your family!

After arriving from out of state and finding our original RV park a no-go, my husband and I found a parking lot to starting calling other places, on a Sunday. A couple were closed since it was a Sunday but Homestead picked up. Jessica, one of the hosts, was GREAT! She met us at the front and helped get us settled with EVERYTHING. One of our cables broke on our slide out as we were setting up and we were really stressed as we were only supposed to be there for a week for work before we needed to move on. Jessica and her husband, Brian, got a mobile repair out to see us the very next night and had it fixed affordably too! Throughout our whole week, Jessica and Brian checked in with is to make sure we had anything we needed. Throughout the week I spotted Monica, the owner, working on the property, keeping the landscaping perfect. It was really hot out too. The whole park is beautiful. Wonderful space between RVs,its quiet, great amenities. There's a park, water, perfectly clean bathrooms, they even pick up your trash in the mornings. There's not enough good words for this place and we will definitely be back whether it is for work or a planned vacation with them, they are that great! If you are traveling in this area, this is THE place you want to stay!

Newer campground.
Asphalt driveways.
Level, wide, concrete sites.
Beautiful, old oak trees.
Stayed in pull-thru site 28. Will plan to stay in site 18,19 or 21 next time (to take advantage of the afternoon shade from the large trees).
If your travels take you to the Mobile, AL area you won’t find a better campground!

Homestead RV Park employees are very friendly and accommodating and are there to serve you, whatever you need! This was our 2nd time to stay there, and if our travels bring us back to the Theodore area, we definitely look forward to coming back!
