Stayed 3 nights for a work conference and had a wonderful experience. The staff upgraded me to a larger room for free, which was clean and smelled fresh. Incredible location with restaurants and a grocery store nearby, plus easy parking. 15 minutes (with traffic) from Rupp! Breakfast was great every morning. Even when the fire alarm went off one day, the staff handled it well. Overall, friendly service and a very comfortable stay! Would totally come back!

Hotel is in a good location - tucked back off the main road - so there's not a lot of noise. We were on the top floor and didn't hear any noise from our neighbors or the hallway. The room was clean and it was nice to have a kitchenette. After a long day on UK's campus, we enjoyed being able to sit in the sitting area/living area and relax. The hallway was warm, but our room stayed nice and cool. The beds were not as comfortable as other Hilton/Hamptons we've stayed in, but they weren't miserable. |We have two children attending the University of Kentucky and travel to Lexington often. The room was affordable and just what we needed; we will definitely stay here again.

I spent one night here while in town for an event in mid-May. I booked ahead online. Front desk staff were pleasant and professional. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They have one of those heating/cooling units that doesn’t have the constant fan which probably doesn’t matter to most people and it wouldn’t have mattered to me either if I hadn’t forgotten my own personal portable travel fan. I survived. The hotel was pretty quiet. They offer complimentary breakfast however I missed that so I can’t speak on it. Check out was at 12p which I appreciated. Parking was free. The location was pretty easy to get to and there are some shops and restaurants within walking distance or a very short drive if you aren’t into walking. Overall good experience and I’d stay here again if in the area.

I’ve been a loyal Hilton Honors member for many years and have stayed at countless Hilton properties with consistently positive experiences. Unfortunately, our recent stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton (Lexington University Medical Center) from Tuesday night through Saturday morning was upsetting from start to finish.

The refrigerator in our room wasn’t working, and we lost a significant amount of food. When we reported it, management agreed to comp one night and they replaced the fridge, which we appreciated.

But things got worse. On our final night, we returned from being gone all day to find our door left open, propped open with the deadbolt. Someone had clearly entered the room. The trash was emptied and towels were removed, but nothing else was touched. No beds made. No dishes cleaned. And no explanation. The sign in the room clearly said housekeeping would come every other day, and based on our Tuesday to Saturday stay, we should have had a full cleaning. We didn’t.

Worse, our toddlers couldn’t fall asleep that night because they were scared after realizing our door had been left wide open. As parents, that’s not a situation we should ever have been put in.

To top it off, the floors were so dirty that our toddler’s freshly bathed feet were black within minutes of walking barefoot. I have a photo to prove it.

Yes, they ended up comping three nights, but the stress, food loss, unsafe conditions, and lack of cleanliness make us feel like we shouldn’t have had to pay anything. This was not the Hilton experience we’ve come to rely on.

TLDR; this hotel is disgusting and disappointing. Stay elsewhere.

This hotel is absolutely atrocious in terms of quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
1. I selected a room through the app and then was told upon arrival that the selected room was not available due to maintenance issues. I asked for another room on a higher floor only to be told that there were no available rooms except for one on the 1st floor.
2. The room was disgusting. Both the privacy and blackout shades had brown water/mold stains on the bottom and around the edges. Tiles in the shower were cracked. The accessibility handle in the shower had a broken piece left hanging off of it, which left a sharp exposed metal edge on the wall of the shower. There was hair (not of our color) all over the room, including in every drawer in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. The couch was worn, faded and stained. The bed was worn out and uneven. If there had been another option, I would have asked to switch rooms, but we had already been told we had no other option.
3. The pool was slimy and freezing. One of the reasons we chose this location is because it had an indoor pool for our 5 year old to swim in. The steps to the pool were so dirty and slimy that you had to hang on to the rail for dear life to avoid falling on exit and entry. The pool is advertised as heated, but was absolutely frigid every day of our stay.
4. The staff also did not exhibit the level of customer service one would expect at a hotel. The majority of the time, no one was at the desk and the employee(s) were sitting in the breakfast area on their phones. When we called the desk to ask for anything (e.g. additional towels), we were told to come and get them ourselves rather than having them brought to us.
Basically, if you want a halfway decent hotel at least, this is not the one for you.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. We have stayed here many times. We have family that have doctor appointments regularly, and this is our place to stay. The employee's are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The pool is a great place for the kids to unwind. And the Breakfast is free.

First time here to this location. . As soon as I walked in the lobby it had a really bad smell
Got to the room didn't have a stove. . The room smelled really damp and humid and the bathroom smelled really bad comes to find out the town has a water treatment issues. Room is smaller than expected bed was decently comfortable. Staff is AMAZING. Breakfast is meh can't eat that stuff anyways because I'm diabetic. Gym was decent with the weights but no bench. They have washer and dryer and all the cardio equipment had issues with it. Only thing I liked was the staff. That it allowed pets. There's no stove just a portable burner and skillet. .But staff is great that's about it. Kroger across the street really sucks

This will be my last stay with any Hilton property, they are not family friendly and only care about money.

For starters, we stayed at Embassy Suites down the road and their manager was understanding of our situation with their pool being closed. Carly had Grant call this location as a sister facility to speak to their night time management about allowing us to swim with my heart broken 6 year old daughter. They said sure and that we could come over and swim for a little bit before the pool closes. Last night she was happy, the pool area was empty, we had it all to ourselves, and we were polite and the night staff at the hotel was helpful and accommodating.

Today I ask our front desk to call this hotel again to see if it’s still okay to take my 6 year old daughter one last time to swim before we go home tomorrow. Dustin their day time manager was inhospitable, rude, and cited nightshift should not have allowed it and they can’t due to liability. I would get it if it was the first time, but why say no when it was fine less than 12 hours ago and now I have a heart broken sad 6 year old daughter.

Hilton is quick to say sorry and cite policy but not be humane or help in anyway. I will say Grant and Carly at Embassy Suites were wonderful yesterday speaking to them to allow us to come to one of their sister hotels and swim. But this experience today has solidified I will no longer use or endorse any Hilton products in the future and will be contacting corporate via email, phone and certified mail to express my unhappiness with their service.

In the future I recommend all hotels bold and or put in red, not in small print, text that clearly states pool hours and this whole situation could have been avoided. When you spend thousands of dollars for multiple rooms and one day it’s okay and people are sweet and humane and the next it’s the exact opposite leaves a sour experience in your graduation weekend.
