Hotel is in a great area, lots of food options within walking distance. Friendly service, check in was a breeze. King size suites are generously spacious. Only small thing to note was the bathroom needed a little TLC in the shower corners, but nothing that made me feel negative.

I am a Hilton Honors member and so I have stayed at many Hilton hotels. This hotel was the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. The first room the AC did not work and the staff was very accommodating and immediately changed my room. The second room was gross, the couch was badly stained, the shower had mold, two corners on the floor had someone else's hair and dirt accumulated, then I glanced behind the toilet where there was a collection of God knows dirt and hair from many people. I immediately asked to switch again. The third room was slightly better but again the area behind the toilet (which easily could be attended to) was gross. I spoke to the GM who was nice and asked to send him the pictures. As I sat in the lobby a women, who overheard me, said "is your room dirty"? I said "yes" and she proceeded to show me her couch which was covered in stains and the seat cushion zipper was undone with the seat filling pouring out.

I am not usually a complainer; however, this hotel needs serious attention. The breakfast was included but I chose to go elsewhere. I couldn't help but think how the kitchen was kept and if there were bugs or rodents getting to the food at night. There was a spider in my bed too. Anyway, I hope someone does something.

I want to start this off by saying I used to enjoy staying at this location. I had to travel to Alabama to care for a family member that fell ill. I stayed for 22 days. I thought Home2 suites would be ideal, spacious rooms, big fridge with freezer, washing machine downstairs , dishwasher, and utensils. First few days were really good, my room was serviced every other day and was decently maintained. I cleaned up after myself and left no big messes or issues for staff. But sometime during the end of first week into the second staff stopped coming by every other day to clean or take out trash. I had to plead for folks to stay on schedule. I wasn't asking anything special. I even tipped the staff as a thank you for doing their job... I guess I offended someone though and it would sometimes be 3 or 4 days without service. In my final week I got service on a Monday and none the rest of the week before I checked out on that Friday. It's a shame that the Hilton brand has places like this. All I wanted was to come back from hospital to see my trash taken and bed made on the days it was supposed to be. I had to do laundry and the washing machine and dryers are never cleaned. I told one of the managers that I believe was the general manager that they were filthy and that there was a condom in one. He assured me it would be taken care of. Two weeks later condom still in the washer ( I checked when I checked out) ?. I had to Lysol and clean the other washer and the dryer I used before I dare placed my clothes in the machine.  At some point some kind of stinging bug was in my room... Since trash wasn't taken out in 4 days I'm almost positive it attracted the insects. Only one or two of the front desk people were kind and took my requests seriously. Staff even tried to gaslight me by saying the room was serviced yesterday ( it wasn't). Then the next day still no one came. Do not stay here long term. It's affordable yes, but you will most likely have a similar experience. I hope some changes are made to this location. I don't know the last time I wrote a Google review if ever, but I couldn't let this slide. Pictures attached.

This location is absolutely beautiful. The staff there, especially management are SO professional and helpful. I would not stay anywhere else -besides this location! The hotel is clean and the breakfast choice is wonderful. You feel like you are at home!

Chose this hotel haphazardly and glad we did. The staff was AMAZING. Shout out to John, Shundra and the other young man working the shift around 4 p.m. on 7/11. Excellent service! The rooms were nice, pretty well kept and the property was pretty. The beds were perfect! The breakfast was pretty great. The waffles were awesome. I'd definitely stay again.

Another stay in Birmingham means another hotel on my list. I stayed here recently and had a very nice stay. I usually ask for a higher floor, but I was fine on the first floor. Room was REALLY nice! Like a mini apartment with full fridge, sink, and more! Bed was comfortable and slept real nicely. Was able to watch the Olympics in a comfortable room with some delicious local BBQ. Shower was clean and fresh! Breakfast the next day was yummy and convenient. Thanks foe the great stay!

I usually prefer Hilton over Marriott, but won’t be staying here again. Seems as if this particular location has just given up. The wall outside our room was tore up with what appeared to be mold and mildew. The shower wasn’t clean with lots of mildew. Went downstairs for breakfast with 30 minutes left and there was no protein left but that didn’t matter because the “clean” plates put out still had food on them. Not what I expected from Hilton.

we were placed here after we had issues at our home and had to leave for a couple of weeks. The rooms are clean and the service was very friendly and accommodating. Nice hot breakfast every morning, including all the good stuff. It was dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us because we had to bring ours with us. Guess we’re friendly in the outside areas for relaxing or kept cleaning comfortable. Room service was polite. They had everything we needed every day. Recommend front desk, Jerome, Jamal, Adrian, and Don. Nice team members. We will come back here if we need a place to stay even though we live in Birmingham. We called at home for two weeks and we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
