The best coffee shop in town! I love everything about this cute store! Perfect spot to hang out with friends and family. They make their own syrup and they are all perfect! They also do fresh baked goods. My favorites are walnut banana bread and cinnamon rolls. I can’t recommend this coffee shop enough. Their coffee and service are 10/10. This store will always be my number 1 spot to grab coffee and matcha!

Edit: Upon reading other reviews and seeing that they are a 100% vegan coffee shop with no animal products I called to inquire about the “vanilla sweet cream” used in the vanilla latte. The cream is plant based, which they read me the ingredients label and while it’s not an issue for me it does contain coconut but is not labeled as such. I did bring up concern with the fact that it is not labeled and they let me know that anyone with “that sensitive of allergies will usually let us know”. They did insist on issuing me a refund and while I do appreciate the openness and willingness to do so, I still have general concerns. With this correction and discussion with them I’m amending my review to 4 stars as they did make it right to some degree, we can disagree on labeling and that’s okay. I do still wish them the best as they appear to be loved by the local community.

The coffee selections and unique flavors are all excellent. I got the vanilla latte and it had a rich flavor without being overly sweet or bitter.

I’m only giving 3 stars for two reasons, the first is it has very limited seating. It is a really small location which is okay but if you’re looking for seating this coffee shop is rather small - but the good coffee makes up for it especially if you’re just in and out.

The second (and more important) reason relates to the labeling of the pastries. I mentioned to them that they had labeled two different types of pastries the same way as “apple pecan” however some were loaded almond slivers, not pecans. When I brought it up they mentioned that they just hadn’t had many that morning to put out so they just put them out there alongside the pecan ones. As someone with an almond allergy, I noted that this is a concern as almonds are one of the major allergens and it was not clearly labeled. While the staff was polite they didn’t come across very well. I can tell they were trying to be nice but when I was told “thank you for the suggestion” it was rather passive aggressive. Before I left the label was corrected, so at least they did correct the labeling, but it did raise concerns for me that they may not take allergens as seriously as they should be.

Love the atmosphere with the tables and games available. The staff was friendly and professional. Tried two different coffees but was not a huge fan of either one. Maybe it was just the fact that we tried some out of the norm for us specialty drinks. Nest time we will stick with the basics to give it a true test. Thanks again.

I was in the area for sports and found this place on google maps. I love finding gems just like this!!! The service was great the food was yummy and the drink was very creamy like I like it. That pillow soft dough filled with vegan eggs, cheese, sausage, and potatoes was 🤤. I wish I had ordered more than 1.

Update December '24:

I am pleasantly surprised to find out today that they widened the offering to include whole milk for the non-vegan patrons too.

I can tell they have made a careful decision and prepared throughout the kitchen to separate and make sure there is no cross contamination between vegan and non-vegan ingredients.
I feel that this is a very significant and carefully thought out inclusive decision that will also cater to more people who are used to classic coffee experience. They care about their customers and we first hand can feel and taste it in their craft.

I recommend this coffee house to everyone and once they try it they are completely hooked.

(Small tip) It's also a perfect coffee shop to visit away from all the hustle and bustle of the events in the downtown Glendale, just a wonderful place to sit and relax and play some board games or listen to birds outside. There are small rooms inside for a team meeting or chat with friends or even just to enjoy solitary time reading books. Amazingly cozy 😍

Update: I've been enjoying their hot pastries, Brekkie bun and chorizo with my coffee (caramel toffee latte) daily. Brekkie bun is a breakfast bun with potatoes and veggie sausage, idk how they do it but it's amazing.

Chorizo puff pastry is also full of flavor and the soy meat and seasoning, in a puff pastry blanketed like a empanada 🥟 it's so delicious!!

I love how every single creation in their cafe is plant based and homemade like their syrups!

I'm nowhere vegan, but their food and coffee tastes so rich and delicious!

Big shout out to their small family business the owners Melissa, Mike, Yati, Livy ❤️

We dropped by expecting nothing, this was our first time trying the cafe. My coworker recommended this place.

The cafe sits on a really beautiful area of historic downtown Glendale. There are lots of parking around this establishment to quickly run in and pick up morning treat and get back to work route.

I chatted with the shop regarding membership questions the night before and when I walked in, they immediately knew me by face. I was pleasantly surprised.

Melissa made us feel comfortable and was very welcoming.

I got bourbon Brown sugar latte 🤤 and it is super smooth, foam is rich and incorporated throughout the body of coffee, it's well made. The coffee seem to be very low in acid too, making each sip very smooth.

I love the apple puff pastry, I can see why they would run out of some of their pastries!

I am happy to have found a local, family supported coffee shop that I can hang out every week ❤️☺️

A must place to visit if you are in the vicinity!

Homage Coffee House is doing it right. From the moment I exited my car I was impressed. The location is easy to find, sits on a cute little lot, well kept, visible with its bright yellow paint and not overdone with fancy signage and extra things to take away from Old Towns character. One of the reasons it’s great is the old home it sits in. There are a few tables out front to enjoy the weather as well as more inside. When I walked in I was greeted by not one, but three wonderful women, smiles and all. Impressive! Today was my first ever visit and that was a great first impression for me. For those of you don’t know this coffee shop is vegan and cruelty free. They make all of their syrups in house. They just opened a second location in Litchfield Park of that may be closer to some of you. I’m not vegan and have started to learn that there are some pretty great options. I’m still learning what I love, but always excited to try new things. I talked with one of the girls about what she loved and such and decided to go with her favorite which was a agave, cinnamon powder latte which I got iced. My son who typically only likes blended items went with the honeycomb, toffee, chocolate latte iced because they don’t do blended drinks. My eyes quickly went t directly to a cherry turnover. Both drinks were a 16oz, but once I got mine I wished id picked 24oz because it was phenomenal. Both drinks looked delicious. My son said he wasn’t as much of a fan, but again he only typically gets blended and he likes his drinks way too overdone. So I did him a favor and drank that too ha ha ha. Both drinks for so smooth. No acidic tastes. No heavy syrups lingering and I really enjoyed them. The barista explained before I ordered that her go to has more of a coffee flavor which is what I wanted while the honeycomb latte is on the sweeter side. She was on point with both. I think the agave cinnamon latte is now one of my top favorites out of all the coffee I’ve drank in my life. We all know that’s a high bar lol. I’m typically a cold brew drinker, but was looking for something new today. They get their beans from Xanadu which you can buy for home brewing yourself. The inside seating is split between multiple rooms in the shop, again this is an old home and they’ve left a lot as is. It’s bright inside and the minimalist decor was great. I can’t wait to come back soon. Lastly, the cherry turnover was flaky, cherries yummy and not overly sweet and just delicious. I almost had to smack my son’s hand away because sharing is hard . HA. All kidding aside this place is doing it right.

Stopped in here for breakfast and a drink while I was in labor!
I got a big bacon pastry, which was vegan like everything on the menu, and it was delicious. It was also massive, even with my ravenous labor hunger I couldn't finish the whole thing. It tasted so fresh, and the flavors were so similar to the real thing I would have never known without all the vegan signage. Also got an unsweetened hibiscus Elderberry tea and it was delightful.
I was sad it wasn't a coffee day for me, because the coffee menu looked absolutely amazing and had some interesting flavors I would have loved to try. Maybe next time I'm in the area!

The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly, and the whole place looked incredibly clean. I highly recommend this shop to anyone passing through!

What can I say, such a cute cafe located in downtown Glendale! My friend and I were looking for a local cafe and we’re so glad we went to this one! Customer service was super friendly and quick, coffee tasted amazing and they’re lemon loaf was to die for! The cafe was originally a historic home from the mid 1900s and it’s so cute and quaint! Due to the size of the historic home, seating is a bit limited but not too bad! I love that the space limits how many people can be inside so that your allowed to enjoy your experience there, instead of being bombarded with noise and conversations from crowds of people. Loved the esthetics inside and the fact that they have plant based options as well! I really enjoyed it here and if you come, definitely try their lemon loaf!!
