Was able to stay here with my family and was upgraded to a suite for being a member. Room was clean and comfortable. The first room had what appeared to be rust in the bathtub and when I pointed this out to staff, they immediately got me set up in a new room. Great and friendly service.

The staff all seem happy and welcoming. Every interaction was pleasant. Breakfast had a variety of options for all diets. There was almond milk and soy! They are updating the lobby but it did not distract or take away from the quiet atmosphere. It is close the highway for easy access to anywhere you need to go.

My wife and I are both platinum elite members and stay at Holiday Inn Express locations across the country. We use HIE primarily because it is consistently clean, comfortable, and a fair value. This New Braunfels location is terribly disappointing. We booked 2 rooms Sat 12/28 to Sun 12/29. Not clean, not well maintained, poor service.

1) When we arrived Sat around 4pm, the trash can outside was very full, but I assumed it would be emptied soon (nope). By the time we left around 10am on Sun, there was trash piled all around it and staff sitting on the bench outside vaping and looking at cell phones.

2) One of the two elevators wasn't working and the one that was working didn't sound good. The lack of elevators had our family waiting multiple times to be able to get on one that wasn't full.

3) There are ice machines only the 1st & 3rd floor (we were on 2), but the one on the 1st floor was broken

4) The there was hair (more than one) and small stains on the comforter and on the mattress cover (we pulled back the fitted sheet to check).

5) The shower curtain needed to be washed (not clean, but not filthy either). There were dirt smudges on the walls that I was able to wipe off, so I know it could have been done by house cleaning.

6) Despite all this, the breakfast was the absolute worst. We arrived at 8:30 am (they were supposedly open to 10am) The pancake machine was broken, they were out of eggs, there were no cinnamon rolls, the biscuits were cold. The poor woman servicing that area didn't speak English, but I don't think this was her fault.

The breakfast debacle and everything else is really a management issue. We would not recommend staying at this location!!

We travel a lot and have stayed at many hotels, but this was the best!! Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was very clean and tidy! I could not find anything to complain about at this hotel.

We just stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Broken Arrow OK from 2/4 to 2/9. I booked that specific hotel because we have stayed there before. This time the mattress was horrible, the heater was so loud it woke me up constantly, the toilet overflowed in the 1st room so we had to be moved. Those issues alone made for a mediocre stay. Finding out upon check in that the fitness room and pool were closed due to renovations was a surprise. That information hadn't been supplied to me when booking my stayed. I would have selected a different hotel had I known. Your desk manager although respectable seemed indifferent to my surprise.

Not the room a clicked to rent.
The one I saw had a couch AND A JETTED tub . ..this one does not
charging ports don't work cord just falls straight out.
Thought I was getting a jetted tub but no.
No coffee maker in the room. À
No charging ports in bunk room.
One outlet in bunk room but to far from bed. One and only one chair to actually sit in.
Mabey I did not research as much as I should . But I'm a checks and balance type person Can't imagine knowing these things and still booking.
To much money for such a basic room.
Room seems to be clean and beds are OK.
BUT way way over priced.

Bathroom was filthy. Black hair on the floors, in the shower, room floors had not been vacuumed, one drawer in the "dresser" wouldn't stay shut and was a tripping hazard, bathroom shower nozzle was loose. Let staff know Friday night it was dirty, assured me it would be clean and taken care of Saturday. Saturday morning again I was assured it would be cleaned. Saturday night, same hair on the floor and in the shower. Drawer nor the nozzle were fixed. I have pictures and text messages.

Breakfast was lacking, not enough food, no one around to tell.

I have stayed literally in 100's of hotels, none were as dirty as this one, and I will give my business to someone who cares, instead of blaming it on them being tooo busy to clean. If they were toooo busy to clean over a busy weekend, why was my room dirty to begin with?

The stay was great; however, on the way home my back was really itchy. As I got home and looked, I realized I had bed bug bites all over my back. The whole trip was raining and cold, so I was not exposed to outside insects.
