I have stayed here many times in the past during my daughter's enrollment in the U of A and was always impressed with the quality of the property. Returned for another visit this week and had a different experience. Property is still nice but I believe the rooms need updating. I noticed this mostly in the bathroom of my suite. Cleanliness standards, moldy grout, etc were not up to par. I have always enjoyed the breakfast buffet here too but not this time. Omelettes were cold and overcooked. The next morning, I went out to breakfast and paid for my food instead of trying the buffet again. Sorry to see this happen here.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with any requests.

The location was also convenient, close to key attractions and restaurants, which made exploring the area easy. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast options—there was a good variety, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. I would recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and affordable stay!

We were moved from our originally booked hotel to this hotel, as our hotel had a pipe burst. The staff accommodated us with a great price for our room and a free upgrade. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet, even though it was busy. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The hotel staff staff were very helpful and considerate. I would stay here again when I come to Tucson.

Things happen, and sometimes you are required to pay for towels that are deemed damaged by the staff. Understandable, and am willing to pay to replace items. Though for a room of 4 people where all the towels were not damaged the GM is choosing to charge $200 as an incidental fee that is above and beyond the actual cost to replace the damaged items. He thinks it’s appropriate to charge a customer over the damaged amount in order to buy more towels for the hotel. I was told that I needed to pay for an entire order of towels to replace less than 5-8 towels. No business person does that…. You wait until you need a large amount of towels and buy them in bundles…. Though this GM decided it was a great way to buy more for the hotel and charging it to a customer. Guest beware- if something unexpected happens at this hotel and you need to pay for damages the GM will charge you well over the amount that it costs to actually replace what was lost.

My mom and I we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites on 9/15/2024 to 9/16/2024 because I had a PET Scan on 9/16 at the Cancer Center.

We've enjoyed staying here because it is close to my doctors at the Cancer Center and we love it here. We always have had TREMENDOUS service.

We wanted to give a special shout-out to the new Front Desk Agent Ricky who went the "extra" mile. He was so wonderful and kind. He wanted to make sure if we needed anything else i.e.: toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, etc. We really appreciate it the service that he offered.

We always like to get Room 206 because that has been our favorite room. If that room is out of order or if it is occupied then we certainly understand and Room 208 is also a good room too.

My mom and I we also wanted to give another special shout-out to Danny Jimenez and his housekeeping team who always have gone the "extra" mile making our stay a memorable one. He is always so friendly and always checking up on us seeing if we needed anything else during our stay. His housekeeping team does an excellent job on cleanliness and making the rooms "spotless" clean. I have 4 years of hospitality experience and my family and I we've stayed at hotels that they don't do a good job cleaning but this Holiday Inn Express and Suites Tucson Mall knocked it out of the park on "cleanliness".

Breakfast is always good and we love our good friend Laura. Since she was off on Mondays, Martha Cordero took over and she did an amazing job restocking the Breakfast area.

My mom and I we would like to give a special shout-out to Xavier Macias and his staff members for always taking good care of my mom and I whenever we are there for my appointments, always accommodating us for whatever we need, and them going above and beyond making our stay a memorable one. They are VERY friendly, amazing, and wonderful. They truly care for us whenever we are there for my doctor's appointments at the Cancer Center and always ask us if we ever need anything such as getting a late check-out just in case if my appointments get behind. We always appreciate how they accommodate us. They will always be like family to us! 🙂 Thank you, Xavier, Fernanda, and Staff! We really enjoyed our stay, beds were "top-notch" and we can't wait to come back in 2 weeks to see you guys.

We ABSOLUTELY do recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family. You will love the staff and they will take good care of you.

I’ve had difficult experiences at Holiday Inn’s before which is why I’m glad to say that my stay here was an extremely pleasant surprise. The area is very convenient and the hotel itself is very elegant upon walking in, the staff are friendly and very helpful and do not overcomplicate things. The breakfast was also very good too. Definitely will be coming back here.

My mom and I we have stayed here at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucson Mall many times for doctor's appointments for myself at the Cancer Center. We've ALWAYS had a wonderful tremendous stay. Always love getting Room 206 since that one is our favorite. Room 208 is also good too. We also understand that if 206 and 208 are not available i.e.: occupied then we are good getting another room, but we definitely make sure to get Room 206 in advance. Xavier and his staff are wonderful and friendly. ||They really do know my mom and I very well, really do care for us, and seriously are like family to us. They take really good excellent care of my mom and I during our stay checking-up on us, seeing how we are doing and if we need anything. We really enjoy the wonderful comfy beds since they are very much comfortable, and my mom and I we love the pillows. My mom and I we enjoy the kitchenettes. Sunday September 29, 2024, when we arrived at the hotel, I checked-in with Ricky (the new front desk agent) he is such a wonderful person and a hard-working employee. He was so kind, friendly, him and I we had an excellent conversation. ||My mom and I we had no problems with the room at all. Air Conditioning worked great! The LG Flat-Screen TV worked amazing and had 72 cable TV channels. We did get a really good night's sleep, and we were there at the Cancer Center with plenty of time without any traffic. We always enjoy the continental breakfast, we loved the oatmeal, omelets, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, coffee, and the juices. We truly love the breakfast sections of what they have. It is really delicious! Martha and Laura do an amazing job, they also go above and beyond, they also do care for my mom and I, and they accommodate us very well. Food and Beverage we also give those 15 stars as well. ||The service is beyond outstanding and every time we enjoy staying here for my appointments, we have seen housekeepers doing an incredible job cleaning and preparing the rooms in advance. Whenever my mom and I we travel a lot, we've stayed at so many hotels in the past in fact, we have seen housekeepers that take their sweet time and not hurrying it up by cleaning the room therefore my family and I we get upset but this Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucson Mall really knocked this out of the park. What I mean "knocked this out of the park" is they are the BEST housekeepers, hard-working, also above and beyond, friendly, outgoing, kind, patient, and most of all definitely understanding. The housekeepers also take amazing care of my mom and I and they also accommodate us really well. We hope that these housekeepers will stay there for a really long time since they do a marvelous job. Kudos to them! My mom and I we really are IHG members for a few years and we did get the recognition of being members. All employees, especially the front desk supervisor Danitza want to make your visit "once in a lifetime." The staff makes you feel appreciated! Whatever you need during your stay they are on it right away. The maintenance and upkeep of the hotel is definitely 10 stars. ||We would like to give a special thank you so much to Xavier Macias and his staff for EVERYTHING they have done for us throughout our stay. We love and enjoy the staff very much! Xavier is ALWAYS the best manager in the world! He is so friendly, kind, outgoing, understanding, polite, and always enjoys seeing us whenever we stay here frequently. He also accommodates us very well and we are beyond grateful for what he does for the hotel. Also, a huge thanks to Danitza, Ricky & the front desk team for always giving us a late check-out whenever my appointments get behind schedule. We really appreciate it! The experience is just amazing, and customer service is outstanding and "top-notched".  The IHG "cleanliness" is one of the best! ||My mom and I we wish we lived and stayed here longer because this is our "to-go" place all the time and we really are familiar with the area very well since it is close to fast-food restaurants, the Cancer Center, and also the Tucson Mall. It's also our first choice when visiting Tucson. Since this was our short stay, we unfortunately didn't use the Fitness Center at all but hopefully when we stay here longer for appointments or if we are planning on attending U of A games, we are definitely planning on using the Fitness Center again, we love the layout the Fitness Room. ||We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling for business or leisure! My mom and I we are starting to miss you guys a lot, but we will definitely be coming back again soon! We will never forget on how much you guys have done an awesome job providing excellent service to us and we appreciate you all! You guys are simply the BEST! 🙂 We are looking forward to our stay in 2025 and we will certainly be back to visit you guys.

This hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. But the breakfast options have room for improvement.

They had only had pork on the breakfast bar. Pork gravy, pork sausage. They did have eggs but with cheese cooked into it. No hot breakfast for you if you can't eat dairy or pork.

Is it really 2024 and hotels still don't know that 25% of people in the U.S. don't eat pork?

My night cost me $20 more after factoring in the cost of getting a meal.
