Amazing customer service, very polite. Understood us. Didn't turn us down like Best Western formally also known as Days Inn by Sonic drive in did because of my daughter, her boyfriend and her little baby was staying with me. Was very helpful. We will be back. But really wished the pool and hot tub was working. Yes the elevator wasn't working. But a good exercise doesn't hurt anyone.

We visited this hotel while out of town for a softball tournament. The bathroom was clean as were the main areas of the hotel. There was a stain on a comforter and pillow case in our room. The staff was friendly. When we arrived we were informed the pool was closed due to a dehumidifier being broken. The room was noisy and it was hard to sleep. There was a smoke detector or something on the ceiling that flashed a light every 1-2 minutes all night long. You can hear everything in the neighboring rooms and hallway. There is also a train track nearby that was very loud. The beds are rock hard. Basically like sleeping on the floor. The breakfast was decent. Overall I experience was a 1.5/5. Would not return.

I'm sad to say that we were very disappointed at the deterioration in this HIE in Poteau. We bring the grands for a Spring Break visit to see my mother-in-law, their great grandma. We were here in March, 2024, then again this past week. I could not believe the difference in the condition of the property. The draperies in my room were hanging by a thread, literally half of the rod was hanging down; the bed was worn out and uncomfortable; there were stains all over the carpet and the ottomon was soiled. The bathroom faucet dripped. But most worrisome is that the one and only elevator is out of order, and has been for a while. The pool and spa have been closed for years, with no mention of that on the website. Thankfully, the breakfast was excellent and the staff is wonderful...so helpful and considerate. It's a shame they are put in a situation to have to hear so many complaints, some not so kind, from unhappy guests. I could truthfully give this review even fewer stars, but gave 3 out of respect for the staff. Those responsible for this situation should do better!

This hotel needs updating. Very limited plug-ins to charge electronics. Pool was closed. Luggage cart had a flat tire. Poor over all experience compared to the other Holiday Express we have stayed at.

The hotel is dated, but very clean with friendly staff. Despite this, they falsely advertised having an indoor heated pool. The "indoor heated pool" has been empty for three years. When I confirmed my reservation en route they told me that the pool had been closed for three years, they offered to cancel my reservation. Mind you, this is after I had been in the car for 14 hours, headed to my uncle's funeral. I simply didn't have the ability to make other arrangements while I was an hour away, driving after dark.

I originally booked in Ft Smith with hotel points, but cancelled when someone told me there was a hotel in Poteau with an indoor pool.

The manager blamed me for not canceling once I knew there was no pool and also for not disputing the price when I left the following Monday at 5am. They did refund me one night of my stay so I feel the issue was resolved as best as it could.

If they would have been honest, it wouldn't have bothered me, but three years without a working pool is clearly deceptive.

I never write 50 words describing anything regarding my travel. I am not a travel consultant nor influencer, I am a lowly business traveler that appreciates a clean comfortable quiet environment and on that note, this hotel experience excelled with one small exception, the USB ports or non-existent and power outlets few but I was able to make it work by unplugging the worthless alarm clock and using that to power my chargers.

I was a guest, so I was not responsible for payment, The place was clean , welcoming, easy to find , a little out of the way, but worth the price. I would rather have given 5 stars but not having notice of the pool and hot tub down after a 10 hour drive. Was very disappointing.
