Wasn't offered points or snack for tier status upon arrival, requested room service but never came. Hair in tub when I checked into the room. Other than that, good location, good breakfast options, comfy bed. The BIGGEST CON was laundry. You have to download an app and store your CC on the app to have them transfer funds. The minimum amount they allow you to transfer is $10. To wash and dry it was $7, so basically you have money on an app that you won't use at all except at this hotel in Altus.

It was a last minute Saturday decision to stay and couldn't have been a better choice. My wife and Grand son loved the pool went swimming Saturday night and got up Sunday morning and swam before breakfast, which was a delightful change from most Sunday morning breakfast at other hotels that we have stayed in plenty of options, well prepared and stocked. We would definitely recommend it and will stay here again in the future.

This Holiday Inn Express is the only one in Altus, Ok and one of very few places to stay in town. We stayed in room 218. It was evident when we walked in that the room had little cleaning. The furniture was clearly dusty. I could run my finger along the furniture and picked up dust. The bathroom had evidence of repairs around the bathtub. A few loose tiles on the floor. NO HOT WATER coming from the sink. Warm water in the shower. We discovered that if you ran the bathtub water on hot and turned on the sink water to hot, then the hot water would come through. We made a complaint twice to the front desk. Both time they acknowledged our discomfort but made no attempt to switch us to another room. Management did help to resolve the issue at check out, however this is a bad look for IHG in my opinion.

I have been working close to Altus lately. My work necessitates my staying away from home quite a bit, so when I book a hotel, it might be for months at a time. I reserved a king suite in Altus for 2 months (and would probably stay 3-4).. Two weeks is as long as I could stand this hotel. There was black mold around the bathtub grout. Tried to live with that. There were 5 lamps that were the entire light source for the room. Three of them didn’t work. 2 of them only needed new light bulbs, but after asking for 3 days, I gave up. Didn’t go buy my own, just for the principal. I shouldn’t have to. I had to bribe the housekeeping staff to change my sheets after 2 weeks. I asked repeatedly for them to vacuum my floor and it never happened in the two weeks I was there. I had them print me a copy of my bill so I could file an expense reimbursement request with my company. Discovered they had been charging me a different rate every night, instead of the quoted rate. When I called and asked for the manager, the front desk person (Aubrey) told me the manager would not be available that day, and had no idea when. Said the assistant manager wouldn’t be available until that evening, but a variable rate was their policy and she wasn’t likely to change it. All of this just topped off the fact that they are NOT pet friendly as advertised on the Apple Maps website, which I used to get their number initially. Therefore my wife had to find a dog sitter to come see me when she could. One night one of the bad lamps apparently tripped a breaker for my room. I reported it to the man watching the front desk. He found the breaker box, but didn’t know how to reset a breaker! I had to wait until the maintenance man showed up the next day to have light in the room. He told me what had happened and laughed about it.

I called the Vernon TX Holiday in Express. They quoted me a firm price for a king suite for a 3 month reservation. they are pet friendly, and I know their rooms are clean because I have stayed there in the past. I also know they are friendly and helpful.

Never again will I bother the people in Altus

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfortable bed, clean hallways, and amenities, as well as the attention Aubrie gave us when I asked what they used as a scent when I entered the hotel. She went out of her way to give me the name of the scent. That made all the difference!! Keep up the good work, Aubrie. Hopefully, I will see you as a hotel manager in the future.

This was a quick stop after a late night arrival. I chose an IHG hotel because I wanted a safe bet without a lot of research. The gal at check in said she was new so will give her grace but check in was quite slow.||I noticed some maintenance issues right away but at 1:00 am just wanted sleep. The next morning I really noticed the cracked tile, broken grout and uneven bathroom tiles, disgusting black stuff around tub and shower, and the fact that the vacuum never gets too close to the wall. We had two rooms and both had similar issues.||Breakfast was standard fare but eggs were overdone around edges as were the biscuits. Apple juice was water and we noticed several others take a sip and toss it.||This was by far the worst hotel we stayed at with the highest price. A 2.5 is a more accurate rating but isn’t available. A friendly call with (Mercedes?) earlier in the evening regarding late arrival and a comfortable bed led me to the 3 stars. Definitely not the worst hotel but I won’t be back unless renovated.

This hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was good and so was the coffee. Check in went smooth and appreciated the use of the luggage racks. The hotel is in a convenient location. A hot tub would have been nice, but none available.

I checked into the hotel on 28 March and was hoping for the best since I have been with IHG for years. Upon arrival, I was not welcomed as an IHG member, and in fact, the young lady (a couple of months pregnant) had an attitude problem. The next morning, my wife and I go down to have breakfast on Saturday, and the lady running the food area has her kids there lying on the sofa. When I tried to put the news on, one of her kids whined at me to leave the cartoons on. No yogurt or milk, and the pancake machine was not working. Funny, it worked the next morning. On Sunday, I asked for a toothbrush from the front counter when I realized it wasn't in the food store area. The young man behind the counter had an attitude and didn't want to get up from his chair, and said if I wanted it to walk around to the front desk. On Tuesday, I went down to breakfast with my wife at 9 am. It didn't close till 930. Four members of the staff were down getting food, and when I went up, there was only a little of eggs off the bottom on the pan, and no coffee. The older lady running the section said she couldn't make anything else. The staff should not have been eating guest food until the breakfast was shut down for the morning. Told the front desk the ladder in the pool was broken and I cut my leg on it, and the young man said yeah, it's been broken, and I should be more careful.
