As an Albany State University alum, I frequently visit Albany, and the Holiday Inn Express is always my top choice for accommodations. My most recent stay was for a solemn occasion—a funeral—and I recommended this hotel to my friends. From the very first interaction, the level of care and professionalism stood out. When speaking with the hotel manager, Ms. Linda, she immediately expressed her condolences before discussing any details. That thoughtful gesture set the tone for what turned out to be yet another exceptional stay.

The hotel has recently undergone upgrades, further enhancing the guest experience. Fresh paint, updated room décor, stylish new couches, and modern shades replacing traditional curtains all contribute to a more elevated and comfortable atmosphere. These thoughtful improvements demonstrate the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction.

Beyond the aesthetics, the customer service remains outstanding. Whether during the day or night, the staff consistently delivers warm, accommodating service, always responding to requests with a smile. Their attentiveness and professionalism create a welcoming environment that makes every stay enjoyable.

For all these reasons, I continue to recommend the Holiday Inn Express to others, and it has now become their preferred hotel as well. Whether visiting for business, leisure, or personal matters, this hotel provides a consistently excellent experience that keeps guests coming back.

I have stayed at this property on multiple occasions as it is a convenient half way point to an often visited family members home. I find this property always well kept, clean and with welcoming staff that make feel comfortable and ready to relax. I have truly enjoyed each of my stays hare and truly appreciate the consistency in which this team presents itself. That is not easy to achieve in the hospitality industry.

I have stayed in a myriad of hotels of hotels over the years, and I must say this Holiday Inn had the softest sheets I have ever encountered. The bed itself was very comfy and experience was like sleeping in a cloud.

Our room was spotless as was the lobby and kitchen area. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Lots of outlets including the bedside lamps.

The only negative is it was a pretty mediocre breakfast and the room temperature was difficult to control. But I would still stay there again.

This was my second stay and I have to tell you the staff here make the difference. Hotel is in a great location, plenty nearby to eat, shop if needed and gas up. I am a workout person so when I travel, I look for the gym. I enjoyed their gym, they had all I needed to get in a good workout each AM. The breakfast was good and hot! I absolutely hate hotel breakfast but this place obviously cooks with love. I hated that the water cooler was out in the gym, the water on the juice machine downstairs needed a filter. However there are bottles behind the desk if you ask.
Room was clean and everything worked as it should. I was disappointed in the channel selections but made it work. Overall it was a great week and the team here is pretty special! I will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Albany this weekend! The room was spotless, and the service was top-notch, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with plenty of delicious options to start the day right. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around, and the relaxing atmosphere made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

We rented a meeting room for a bridal shower and stayed 2 nights in the hotel. Great staff, meeting space was perfect, and we all had a wonderful time! Entire staff treated us like family, very helpful for our event, and we got much needed sleep after in the most comfortable beds!

I've never had to write a negative review on any organization/person; however, this experience has caused me to do so.

I work as a travel agent and tried on various occasions since January 30, 2025 to connect with the booking manager, Linda Davis to discuss getting a block of rooms. She has been completely unresponsive to phone calls/emails. I even called to the 800 number to speak with a Groups & Meetings Support Specialist who also emailed Linda Davis but she still never responded. I spoken with several employees at the hotel who were very helpful and left messages with all of them. Some even offered to call Linda's cell phone to let her know the importance of trying to get this completed. One day I was transferred to her voicemail at work, but it was full. I called the employee back to let her know. Surprisingly, the next day they transferred me again and this time I was able to leave a message, so this lets me know she's getting my messages from the employees. Because of her lack of professionalism, courtesy and respect towards a potential client, I will not refer anyone to this particular hotel as long as I know she's still working there. I am very disappointed in how she has operated as a manager with the hotel.

Great service and great food and great comfort. We had plenty of room as a family of five. We had plenty of towels and all the amenities. The only thing I could complain about was that the pool was under maintenance at the time of or stay.
