Took my 3 teenage daughters on a short spring break getaway to the lodge. We had so much fun! Everything was clean and we felt very safe - guests were nice - good vibes all around! The pool was warm - a little small - but nice! Indoor hot tub was large and clean. We were bummed the outdoor hot tub was closed for maintenance, but we are looking forward to enjoying that our next stay!
Love all the cozy nooks and comfy fireside seating! We played a lot of games and enjoyed the outdoor space. It's beautiful! Staff was friendly. We didn't eat at the restaurant- so I can't comment on that. I did spend way too much money on overpriced coffee, though. 😆
We will definitely be staying here again - great place to spend time together and relax!!!

You're here for some of the best outdoors in Ohio, but if you or your group want to have a spectacular indoors to explore it from, this is a great place!

The rooms are clean and breezy, the beds are gently firm (just like I prefer), the towels are plush, and pretty much all the views are great, even in winter, because there are lots of evergreen trees around.

Outside your room, you'll find a lofty-ceilinged lobby with lots of wood and stone, delicious food in the restaurant and the cafe, tasty beverages in the cafe and bar, and a hot tub and pool (I didn't try either of them; I forgot my swimsuit).

Did I mention the staff? They're exemplary! They went out of their way to help me even though I'm no high-roller. And of course, even with a gorgeous outdoors and amenity-studded indoors, it's the people that make a place feel like home.

Thanks Hocking Hills State Park Lodge! I really appreciate it. Hopefully you'll see me again 🙂

We visited the lodge this weekend with four other families and it was the perfect January getaway! When I asked my 3yo how she liked hocking hills, she said it was hocking wonderful! The staff was very accommodating and kind and the space was incredibly family friendly. So many places to hang out with our friends. The room was nice, front desk helpful, and bartenders very accommodating. The food was delicious, but the service a little slow in the restaurant. I think they were surprised at the January turnout.

Perfect Location! Amazing Staff! Great Room! The Hocking Hills Lodge & Conference Center has it all. From the warm and welcoming greeting I always receive from Jenn and Ashley at the front desk to the beautifully furnished room, great housekeeping staff and food service, everything at this lodge are exceptional. It also offers a beautiful lodge with outdoor sitting areas and wood burning fireplaces indoors, a pool and spa, fully equipped workout room and behind the lodge access to great hiking trails. I’ve had the pleasure of staying here four times now and each time has been exceptional. Highly recommended. Rick B.

Beautifully decorated with tons of fun amenities and a very cozy yet fancy vibe! Loved the billiards, ping pong, board game nooks, gift shop, restaurant, snack bar, and variety on the menus. The indoor hot tub was huge and so relaxing! I imagine it's absolutely gorgeous to sit outside when the weather is nicer too. 🙂

"Edit - Owner stated "I'm sorry the icy steps interrupted your hike to the whispering caves" I am very grateful the owner wants to help with this situation we ran into. I just want to clear up my comment. The icy spot I was talking about has nothing to do with the lodge or steps own by the lodge. We got far into the trail and just hit an icy spot and had to turn around. It was February so this is expected. Nothing bad or anything the owner can handle."

Stayed a weekend in Feb. Hotel workers are polite and helpful. First day we got settled in and went for a hike. A trail head is right out the back door. Be ready for some stairs to get down to the trail and back to the lodge. Tried to hike to whispering caves but part of trail that went down steps where iced over and we stopped. A must return for me when the weather warms up. Ate at the restaurant and it is very good food! I recommend eating there and making reservations.

I had some common medical issues at 2am that I forgot to pack for and wondered down to the lobby. The workers came out and didn't have access to medicine for me but helped in every way they could! Hooked me up with some sprite. Not what I needed but it felt good that they helped how they could. It actually seemed to help some and got me through the night. Then in the morning I was able to buy some medicine from gift shop. Not awake enough to get names but thanks to the Lady and guy that helped me out at 2am on Feb 16th.

Next day it snowed and strong winds all day long. We hung out in some comfy clothes in the sitting area all day long. They had both fires going and it was a cozy day. Played some board games and cards that we brought along. Also, lodge has pool table, ping pong and board games that you can use. Had some coffee and hot chocolate thru the day. Ended up getting some pizza for dinner. It was a very relaxing but fun day to hang out with the family.

Ohio State parks are doing a great job with their parks and lodges. highly recommend and plan ahead. Popular spot that gets booked up. They were at full capacity when we were there and good thing is it didn't feel like it.

Beautiful facilty and great location. Lots to do nearby. The staff is great. The only reason for 4 stars is the kitchen is horrible. Takes forever, don't waste your time. Come to find out, after our trip I spoke with someone who went some time ago and they had the same bad experience with the restaurant. They charge too much for not having it together in that aspect. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

The Lodge is a great central location to the 7 main trails in Hocking Hills State Park and Conkle's Hollow. It is an access point for the Whispering Cave Trail as well as a couple of loop trails that connect Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Whispering Cave, and Old Man's Cave. The rooms are well maintained and offer a large screen TV, small fridge, microwave, and small coffee maker. When the weather does not encourage hiking, the Lodge offers an indoor pool and hot tub, several sitting areas, a pool table, a ping pong table, and lots of board and card games. Dining on the premises is limited to the Rock House Restaurant (yes, make reservations!), the pub area, and Cafe 22 which offers grab-and-go items. Be mindful of the time because the kitchen and Cafe 22 close around 8 PM. (There are other options in the area if you don't mind a drive.) Just remember you are in a state park, so the internet and cellular service becomes inconsistent with certain weather conditions. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Will definitely go again!
