My family stayed here in our camper over the weekend. It was absolutely beautiful. Super Kid friendly. The kids loved the playground. We loved how centrally located the playground was and the kids absolutely loved Trick or Treating and appearances by Yogi. We will definitely be back!!

YELLOW JACKET CENTRAL!!!! Seriously, we have camped for years and have never experienced yellow jackets like we did here. 3 out of 5 kids were stung plus tons of others around us. Cooking outside was next to impossible. The campground itself is very nicely maintained. Met the owner and he is very nice and helpful. It seems he's recently purchased the property and making it better. What he has done so far has been good. Bath house was not the best. Strong smell of urine and ZERO water pressure. The pond was very clean and the inflatable was a ton of fun. Really appreciate that you pay a $10 fee and can use it all weekend. The paddle boats and canoe are free and provided a ton of fun. The pool was a little awkward as it's at the owners house. In talking to him he definitely has plans to build a new one. Which would be great. We will be back! The yellow jackets unfortunately made for a rough weekend 😔 so hopefully next time they will be gone.

I felt compelled to leave a review when I don’t usually because we have had the best week here! The weather has been perfect and the atmosphere has been great too. My kids (8 and 5) have played all weekend with neighboring campers, the pond offered great fun on the inflatables and fishing! The snowless tubes were a hit as well. The new bath houses are hands down the nicest bath houses we’ve ever used and the sites were clean and well kept! No complaints from me and we will be back!

My grandson had the best time at Jelly Stone State Park in Hocking Hills Ohio. He said, he wished he could start the trip all over. Site 18 is a wonderful site with shade in the afternoons. The site is right by the campsite so you can watch your child at the playground from the site. There are several other sites by the playground also. There were so many kids playing together at the playground with parents watching from their sites. Parents shared pop cycles with kids, it was like the olden days where kids went out all played. There are activities that the campground provides along with a super duper blow up bouncy ninjas on the water. A bubble machine and a giant slide that the kids loved. We got visits from Yoga and Boo Boo with a movie night. This was the most memorable trip my grandson has went on. The campground host was friendly. The atmosphere was the best with other campers.

We would like to thank the owner of this campground for helping us out tremendously when our truck (with camper) in tow broke down 1/2 mile away from the campground. Not only did he let us borrow a golf cart so my husband could meet the tow truck driver but said our dog & cat & I could stay in the air-conditioned office until we figured out how to get the 5th wheel camper to its site. He contacted the only truck owner in the campground with a 5th wheel setup & he moved our camper! Our truck was fixed the next day & the owner also gave us a ride to the dealer! We really appreciated it! The campground is very nice, clean & the pond was fantastic for a swim.

Campground was clean. The floating course was fun and a fair price. Bathrooms were kept fairly clean. The pool is awkward to go to. It’s at the owners house which is weird and out of the way. No bathrooms anywhere near the pool. Activities were pricey and the workers acted as if it was an inconvenience when you wanted to participate if they even knew what was going on at all. Snowless tubing was fun as well. The younger girl workers were really nice. Keep in mind when booking there is nothing to do near campground unless you’re willing to drive. Hocking hills state park is between 30-45 min away depending one where you want to go.

When we arrived at around 6 PM, we learned that our campsite had been given to another camper by the owner. It took about 2 1/2 hours to sort things out, but thankfully, we eventually got a great site, and the owner and his staff were very kind. However, there were a few issues to note. The women’s bathroom doors had no locks, and most hung open. The bathrooms were not cleaned, and the same trash and hair 😖was in the showers /sinks daily.(3 night stay) Additionally, when we went to the commissary to get sunscreen, we found that the 3.5 oz bottle was priced at $15.99, which was disappointing given the already elevated campground prices. On a positive note, the inflatable playground and obstacle course looked great, but the giant slide down the hill did not function well.

STAY AWAY! Overpriced for what you get. Website pics and description very misleading.

They asked for suggestions after our stay and this was our response.

To be honest, our biggest complaint/suggestion is that you CLEAN the bathhouse on a daily basis if not more often. They were not cleaned once the entire time we went there. I even had to inform the people in the office that one of the commodes in the men's was clogged and full of poop. Thankfully, someone unclogged it, but they did not clean it. The bowl was covered in clinging pieces of poop.

Why put up signs that the bathhouse is closed for cleaning, when you have no intentions of doing so? Or put on your website that you have a "modern, clean bathhouse", when, in truth, it is anything BUT that!!! The wall above the urinals was a disaster with holes and exposed metal screws.

Also, a two person kayak for the lake would have been nice. And you need a new paddle for the canoe. And lounge chairs by the pool that aren't broken. Of course, a pool inside the actual campground itself would have been nice instead of having to load up and drive to it behind the owner's house.

It's really a shame because the area is so beautiful and, sadly, we will not be coming back to your campground.
