Hat Ranch is located in the beautiful pines of Northern Arizona. The buildings are older (it is a historic site after all) but rich in history and character. The manager is responsive and available to help, but also stays out of your way so you can enjoy yourself! Bring your favorite blanket (Northern Arizona gets chilly at night even in the summer) and sunscreen/bug spray and have a great time away from the bustle of the city!

The Hat Ranch is an adorable place to stay with the most amazing night sky. Eric was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the Foreman's room which was great for two friends. Very comfortable beds. The bathroom required a short walk outside, which was fine for us, but there were also larger rooms with their own bathrooms available. Our only regret was that we did not get in early enough in the evening to see the elk heard. In the morning after our stay we travelled to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, which was a short hour drive. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming place to stay with an interesting history!

This place was just a complete dream. The hosts are the friendliest people in the world and the really care about their guests. They will make you the best and most authentic ranch style breakfast and make you feel just right at home. I can't even describe the coziness and authenticity in this place - we stayed in the Big Boss room and loved every bit of it. The antique furniture, the history, and the stories behind the ranch will just leave you in awe. We loved it so much and did NOT want to leave the next day. A short hour drive to the south rim of Grand Canyon - location was great - stay here for sure!

We visited this place for three days on our usa tour. We got really a feeling of being in a historic place back in time - in the real America. It was so great an atmosphere- and our host Sharon made us feel home. Our teenager girls got a horse trip with the wranglers that were working there. They had a great time. The location is good. One hour to Grand Canyon- which were no problem. Close to Williams, which is a cosy cowboy town. And the ranch is deep in the Forrest which is exiting. I can highly recommend this place instead of all those same looking hotels you find!! Go there!

My wife & I stayed 2 nights in March 2017* We should have stayed longer. We chose Old Hat Ranch for two reasons: easy access to the Grand Canyon & they allow dogs. We loved our stay there. Excellent breakfasts! Great restaurants just a few minutes away in Williams. Loved all the wild animals—elk grazing right outside our door. We have recommended it to friends and we hope to stay there again soon.| |*I had to select Mar 2018 because the app didn’t give me the option on Mar 2017.

We stayed at the Hat Ranch for one evening and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast there in the morning. Susan, the live-in guide, was off the charts in excellent hosting. You can tell that she enjoys hearing the stories of all who come through and she opens up some of your life as well. It felt like staying with an Aunt you haven't seen since you were a kid, loving but essentially strangers. ||If it hadn't been for the absolutely wonderful hospitality, I may have rated this a bit lower as our room could not be locked from the outside/there were no room keys. We did not feel comfortable leaving our bags in there when we went off to dinner and kept them in the car. ||But I would definitely stay here again and would advise any others traveling through the area (Grand Canyon, Route 66, Flagstaff) to stay here.

We found this place while moving a friend & her horse, who would need a stall for overnight. But, you don't need a horse to stay here. Would be a wonderful place for family vacations. A place where you could return to every year. There is a lot you can do there and around in that area. The bunk rooms were very comfortable. We felt so lucky to have found this place and the wonderful people who run it. A big hearty breakfast was made for us to start our long day ahead to Texas.

Greatest vacation ever! We saw more animals driving into the ranch than we saw at the Grand Canyon. (The animals were not driving.) Saw lots of deer, Elk, one Bobcat and a Javelina crossing the road. Our suite was cute and the beds were comfy. Nita was a wonderful hostess and a great cook. Hope to return there again someday.
