We spent 5 nights the week of Labor Day. We have been here many times, but this was the year of the broken room. We stayed in room 1308. We had a great view of the beach, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff was excellent. The room safe didn’t work when we arrived. It seems that no matter how expensive the accommodation, the guests always do the quality control on the room safes. Fortunately, it was promptly fixed. Then the television broke. Never stayed in a hotel room where the TV just working. Fortunately it was fixed within a day. The hotel doesn’t provide an iron and an ironing board. So when the steamer that is provided instead of an iron quit working, the hotel provided an iron. Since there was no ironing board, my wife had to put a towel over the desk and use that as an ironing board. The room keys quit working multiple times which required a trip to the front desk to have them reset. At one point, we did have HBO, then it just stopped. Of course, when you call the front desk to inquire about HBO, they don’t know anything about it and can’t tell you anything. The location is great, and there is plenty of self parking available. On the bright side, Jennifer at the Sandcastles bar is a great mixologist. She can customize a cocktail to your liking. Jose in the Sandcastles dining room, was excellent. The first glass of red wine that I ordered at dinner was from a bottle that had been open too long. Jose generously opened a new bottle and brought me another glass. In the past, this has been a great place to stay. However, the rooms are looking a little bit long in the tooth and in need of renovation.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa for the Mississippi Poultry Association Conference, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hotel's staff truly went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I want to give a special mention to Jimmie M., who went out of his way to assist me in getting to the other side of the hotel. His helpfulness and genuine care were greatly appreciated.

The rest of the staff were equally exceptional – always cheerful, polite, and ready to help with any request. Their positive attitude and dedication created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made my conference experience even better.

Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during the poultry conference. I highly recommend the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa for anyone attending an event or looking for a relaxing getaway. I look forward to returning soon!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The pools were clean. There were plenty of sun beds. The beaches are pretty. The Staff - all of them - were polite and accommodating. However, it seemed to be more for conferences and such rather than for a romantic getaway. Other than drinking at the bar – there is absolutely nothing to do in the hotel. The bar and eating area are located in an open area resulting in noise levels which were almost unbearable. We could just barely hear each other talk. During our last two nights – the noise was so bad we sat outside. Whether or not we would return is questionable.

Place wants to nickle and dime you. They charge for beach chair and umbrellas. Not a fan of this practice, especially when its supposed to be a nicer place. Don't offer airport shuttles. Charged us for parking on the receipt even though they asked if we had car upon check in, and we told them no. And this happened to many others in the party I traveled with. This doesn't seem like an innocent mistake.

Was told we could check out at 12pm the night before, then the morning of we were told we had to check out at 11am. But overall, the staff was nice.

The beach was nice and the rooms were fine. Not the freshest but they were large. Gym was decent for a hotel. Cafe was bad.

I booked a 10-day stay at my favorite.destination in Destin a year in advance for our 30th wedding anniversary and I was really looking forward to spending a great time at this hotel. I've spent close to 300 nights at this property over the last 20+ years with my family and friends and we were jokingly calling it our second home in FL, but not any more.||When we checked in on Friday, September 20 I was informed that the hotel is completely full and there was no complimentary upgrade available, so we got a room in the old building and we were told to check for an upgrade availability next week. I checked again with the reception desk today - a day before the Hurricane Helene is supposed to come ashore and half alf of the guests checked out early so he hotel looks completely deserted. To my surprise, I was informed by the manager on duty Crystal that my original reservation was a partial view and since I got a room in the old building with a sea viev, I do not qualify for a complimentary upgrade even as Lifetime Diamond member. That was really strange because last year they upgraded us to a suite from the same original partial view reservation as we had his year. And last year there was no hurricane and the hotel was not empty.||After staying at this hotel for a few days I have noticed several things that I never experienced here before. Room service never brings 2 bottles of water as they did before. 2 out of 3 foot prinklers on the middle.walkway to the beach are not working, so there is always a.line to wash the sand of your feet when coming from the beach. The wash area on the left walkway to the beach is covered with 2 inches of sand and it looks like it has not been pressure washed in years. Despite the fact that the hotel was renovated not long ago, the property is lacking basic maintenance.||And to my surprise this morning as I went to the beach I noticed 2 red flags meaning that the water.is closed. It seemed strange because the condo next door had only one red flag. I asked one of the beach employees and he told me that the beach will be closed tomorrow so that put 2 red flags a day lefore. I saw 3.people in front of me turn around and go back to the hotel as they saw the two red flags. I'm glad I asked and did not trust the false sign.||I really liked this property, but I think it's time to start looking for another second home in Destin. I believe this hotel is under new management (the old manager who really cared about this place retired not long ago) and they don't seem to care about basic hotel maintenance or customer service for a loyal customer like myself.||I hope I am wrong and they will address these concerns.||Dmitri Shtapov|Hilton Lifetime Diamond member|Marriott Lifetime Platinum Elite member

I stayed here with my family during a conference. We go there every year for it. Sam who worked at getting bags to rooms was the best. He was so kind & talked to me & my husband about places to go. He’s amazing at his job. Very sweet boy. I loved everyone who worked there at the hotel they were amazing at what they do. Thanks for making this year amazing again Hilton!!

This is the second year we’ve stayed at this hotel. The rooms are huge if you get their Junior suite with the bunk beds ( we haven’t stayed in any other room so I don’t know about those) Ours was a king with a pair of bunk beds and a little living room with pull out couch. You could very comfortably sleep 5 people. The hotel room has a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. We were on the bottom floors and had a decent size porch that walked out to the pool. The hotel was very clean. The only complaint I have is the beds are very hard. They redid the rooms between last year and this and they must have changed the mattresses, because last year the beds were not this hard. If you like a very firm bed you will probably like it. I like a softer bed. The hotel is convenient to stores and restaurants. This hotel also had multiple restaurants and drink options on property, along with a Starbucks. The staff if very nice and knowledgeable. The view of the ocean is incredible! This hotel is beachfront and has quick and convenient access to the beach from the pool deck. There are also 2 pools separated by a bar/restaurant. We just left and I’m already ready to go back

I love this place, been coming here for many years. Very good for family. I just wish they would improve their menu, add more variety of food, more vegetarian vegan. Overall they have good food, just not a variety if you have restrictions. Their Spa facility is the best, they have experienced therapist. I recommend you spend good time there to get your monies worth. Rooms are spacious and their team of staff goes over and beyond to meet your needs. Like I mentioned above, ive been here over several years and while the prices of everything has gone up, I'm glad their service is still top class.
