The staff is very friendly, great location, breakfast buffet ok for the price, they do make to order omelettes and pancakes and eggs, juice options are lacking in flavor, very cheap. Rooms are very dated and need remodel. We do like that the hotel overall is very quiet. They also offer dinner, bar needs to update liquor choices, not much to pick from

I used the hotel for a business trip and it was pretty terrible for that purpose. The WiFi was constantly going out every 5 minutes or so and even though you would click the 49 days of WiFi option it would make you sign in again every day or so. Some of the dressers in the room also have issues with their drawers. The doors either don’t close all the way or are scratched up. The TVs are large and allow for Roku or fire stick insertion.
The breakfast was fairly good and consisted of toast, sausage links, bacon and potato wedges. There is also a bowl of whole fruit and sliced fruit. They have eggs, pancakes and french toast to order. The potato wedges are usually cold by the time you get any and they only put out new ones every few hours so the pan is usually empty or almost empty.
The staff are usually friendly and always try to help maintain the hotel. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful and considerate.
There is always a smell of weed somewhere around the hotel. It smells in entire floors because of it. Sometimes you cough from the smell as soon as the door to the elevator opens. The staff are pretty good at keeping the smell out, but sometimes it’s the staff doing it too.

My husband and I were visiting relatives and picked this Hilton Garden Inn, thinking this would be a nice hotel to stay one night. We were very disappointed, the rooms were in need of updating the furniture, floors and walls had stains, the furniture in the dining area also had stains. Our room smelled like wet dog, we had to spray several times. We went down for breakfast and a waitress there kept promoting the hot breakfast and never told us the cold breakfast was free, so we thought we had to buy the hot breakfast for $10.95. When you pay $190.00 for a room you would think the breakfast would be free. The couple beside our table ordered one omelet that they split and the waitress charged them for 2 omelets. Very sad. We told the clerk at the desk how disappointed we were and she was not empathetic just stared at us. Would not ever recommend this hotel and might never stay at another Hilton Garden Inn. Hotels should have a few rooms set aside for dogs so that people who are allergic to dogs can feel comfortable. There were several dogs at this hotel.

A rich persons hotel! If you have plenty of money this is the place for you. You have to pay $10.95 for breakfast, pay for dinner in lobby, pay for room service, and no free drinks at the bar. I would describe this hotel as being all about the Benjamin’s. All tho the staff is wonderful. If you have any problems they’re corrected promptly. Their service goes above 5 stars to me. This is the only hotel that I have ever given a five star rating. This hotel has great potential! Needs new washer and dryer with rust on the bottom of the washer and dryer that takes three or four times to dry a load. Next time can you get a stackable washer and dryer that way you have two washers and two dryer? And can they be free to use? You already charge for everything else would it hurt you? I don’t think so. Coffee is only served during breakfast hours. We need 24 hour coffee. Rooms are fantastic and very clean. They clean them no more than every two days. All though the layout on the first floor on the Hilton app shows that there is a jacuzzi there isn’t one. Brushes in a circle instead.
I recommend and I would stay here again. I just hope the things above are updated and fixed next time.
The best customer service that I’ve ever had. I’m staying here again soon for three months.

We've had good luck with the Hilton Garden Inns, so we chose this one for Valdosta. The staff were friendly and helpful on check in. We were exhausted so we ordered room service, which the front desk said they had but the restaurant initially said no. Then they changed it to yes, and we ordered the shrimp appetizer and cheeseburger. The appetizer was big enough for four, could easily have fed the entire family, and was fine to our taste. The cheeseburger, however, had freezer burn and tasted like it had just come out of the microwave at least once if not twice.|I drew the curtain to let in some light and was greeted with a windowsill full of not just dust - at least a week's worth - and worse yet, hair. Lots of it.|The hotel room was old, carpet needed replacing, but serviceable. HOWEVER a big warning to anyone with a pet or who can't walk very far. Once you are downstairs and outside, there are NO keycard entrances available on the sides or back. And of course the dog area is in the back. That means my wife, who took the dog out just before bed when it was quite dark outside, exited through the back door into the dog area - and then had to walk around the entire parking lot and building to finally get to the front door.|I'm betting someone thinks this is good for security, but it's pretty awful for safety.|Last, on check out there was no one available. No one. We even asked the restaurant staff, who had no idea where he was. I finally walked behind the counter to get a paper and pen and leave a note saying what room had checked out and that I wanted to make sure I had my receipt - and was not charged for water since I'm HHonors. At that point, a man mysteriously appeared.|I would not advise staying here if you have an alternative.

We were traveling back home from vacation and decided at the last minute to stop halfway for the night. I booked online. (And I want to note that the website actually had a place and made it easy to include that we had dogs) The nice lady at the front desk made my check in easy. The room smelled good. It was clean. The bed was perfect. There is a great big field to walk the dogs with poop bags and trash ben.
I would definitely stay here again.

Room was not clean. Several items need to be fixed including the heating/cooling unit. Outdated and walls very thin. Most alarming was that staff keep the back door propped open. Anyone can have access to the hotel this way. Note that the breakfast is NOT free -10.95 plus tax and tip per person and there is no coffee or snacks offered to guests. The pet fee is 75.00. This hotel is not worth what you will end up paying.

...this is NOT it.||Let me start by saying, I spend dozens of nights each year in Hilton hotels all over the world. I also stay in a variety of other brands each year. I know hotels - the good, the bad, and the ugly.||This property was by far the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in recent years and this hotel absolutely does not meet Hilton brand standards. It is clear the ownership of this property have no issue charging top dollar for this market while not investing a dime. I spent close to $200 per night for a "suite" where I felt uncomfortable sitting on the furniture or walking barefoot.||I would like to share some of my observations from my stay:|The carpet is disgusting - dirty, worn, faded, stained, and patched together.|The curtains do not adequately cover the windows and haven’t been cleaned in quite some time..|The tables in the room were not cleaned.|The shampoo was empty and remained empty despite daily cleaning.|The return vent was filthy - covered in dust.|The doors showed signs of “repaired” damage.|Tiles in the lobby were cracked and filthy.||When I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, they acted as though this is the first time someone has shared this with them. After showing some of the pictures, they changed their story to “we don’t ever see the rooms”. When I pressed further, they acknowledged the hotel was in need of updating without saying it directly.||They offered to move me which I accepted. When I returned from dinner to complete the move, I was told they were unable to move me, but would offer me a reduction in rate. Feeling this would be acceptable given the Hilton Garden Inn Satisfaction Guarantee, I accepted. The hotel and the market were sold out this weekend - my choices were limited. ||Upon checkout, I discovered the credit was $25 per night on a nearly $200/night rate. When I mentioned it to the agent at checkout, he gave me a half-hearted apology, but no offer to make it right. ||In short, there are MANY better places to stay in Valdosta, this is not it. If you are looking for a Hilton Garden Inn that meets Hilton standards, this is NOT it. ||In the franchise hotel world, there are owners who make money selling hospitality and there are owners who will take your money hoping you don't notice the lack of hospitality and hoping their brand doesn't notice either. The owner of the Hilton Garden Inn Valdosta is the latter. ||To Hilton: As a Hilton brand loyalist and decades-long diamond member, I beg you to visit this hotel and see it for yourself. ||To others looking at this property: Until they renovate, STAY AWAY and book elsewhere.
