My wife and I stayed here from March 1st to the 2nd while we were in town. It’s in a nice area and the lobby was clean, but once we got to our room(room 520), we noticed a brownish splatter all over the wall behind the TV(kind of looked like blood? I added pictures below). We were getting ready to go out and got some ice from the 5th floor ice machine for some beverages, only to find some sort of brown chunks in our drinks. After dumping them to make more, we realized that these chunks were coming out of the ice machine with the ice(maybe mold or rust? I included a picture). On our way out for the evening, I politely asked the staff about the splatter on the wall and the chunks of whatever were coming out of the ice machine. I was politely told to use a different floor’s ice machine and that they had no other rooms available. We were out for the rest of the evening, but when we returned 6 hours later, the splatter on the wall was still there as no one attempted to clean it. For a standard room that cost $625 for one night($200 in fees past the price originally listed even when booking directly with the hotel), my wife and I were disappointed it wasn’t even clean.

The coffee station looked like it hadn’t been cleaned nor serviced for a very long time.
The breakfast food offerings were old looking, sparse, and def not worth paying for. Extremely limited menu.
This was a property that was putting the least amount of effort into their customer facing business. Just one click above a Motel 8, sorry to say.
However - friendly staff, tried to accommodate best as they could.

Shame on Hilton. Over priced and was told we had to pay for the “complimentary breakfast”. $9 for cold cereal , eggs and a bacon strip. Ridiculous! Also duck crap all over the parking lot to walk through and used condoms at the entrance. However the rooms were clean.

Great location with very comfortable rooms. Good counter space in the bathroom and good water pressure from the showerhead. Unfortunately they still have single-use soap bars, but the shampoo and conditioner and lotion are in refillable bottles, so that's good. The gym has good equipment and there is a pool. The breakfast is kind of expensive, but it is served and you can get items from the continental buffet spread.

Wouldn’t rate this place as kid friendly.

Desk manager has a problem with kids sitting in the public dining space next to the bar.

She states this IS all the bar seating however, she’s wrong. It’s clearly advertised as a bar and grille with dedicated bar stools the rest is low top tables. Marketing yourself as bar and grille with NO signage stating “under age persons may not sit here” means I’m free to have a drink at the bar while my child can sit at a regular table and eat some chicken tenders.

By the desk agents logic anywhere that has a bar now cannot seat children. So, restaurants like Applebees and Longhorn cannot accommodate kids with regular seating.

I tried respectfully to point out the difference between regular seating and BAR top seating for kids but she remains committed to ignorance.

Furthermore, the maximum occupancy for this bar area is set at 100+ and if you’ve been inside you know it cannot accommodate half that so it’s actually zoned for the ENTIRE downstairs lobby 🙂 that ALL is the bar and grille area, you can also be on the other side of the lobby not even next to the bar and order drinks / have drinks brought to you by this zoning. By her logic it would also be illegal to have drinks brought to your room with kids present. See how she’s wrong? Law is fun.

All seating EXCEPT the actual bar stools is suitable LEGALLY for kids. No parent is going to seat their kids across the lobby so it sounds like she either doesn’t support legal kid friendly areas or she doesn’t want bar customers at all.

If management doesn’t know the correct seating policy, I have no confidence in this hotel to maintain any other category of importance.

Rooms are outdated, dirty, visibly missed areas for vacuuming, most outlets were dead and sink clogged. Gym had weights and one treadmill the peloton and other machines are broken or simply not cared to be plugged in.

People review this place well for the service and staff below management which also get treated poorly, not anything else.

We stayed here for a concert at the Schottenstein Center. Great location and also close to Short North! Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. On the downside, our bathtub would get backed up with water while showering. And the elevators were extremely slow.

At my recent stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Columbus
I’d like to first offer some explanation as to why we chose your location. We were visiting our kids and grandchildren and thought it would be great to stay at a hotel with an indoor pool so we could enjoy it together.
The location to their home was fantastic BUT THE POOL WAS NOT! How can you have an indoor poll that is not heated. We were all so excited to enjoy that together and make memories and as it turns out it is not a memory we want to keep. It was an awful disappointment. Additionally, we went back up to our room to warm up in the shower and the water temp in our bathroom was equally as tepid. We were so very sad and dissatisfied with this experience.
On the flip side your staff was WONDERFUL! Although we may not like the pool we left on a happy note because of your employees
.they were all so welcoming kind helpful and efficient.

We had a great stay at this Hilton. The hotel must be fairly new yet and it looked very clean. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable and our room was easily accessible. You do have to purchase breakfast if you want but I knew this ahead of time and did not care. I don't like continental breakfast's that are usually served.
