This past weekend we stayed at the Lakota (upgraded from Silverwolf by manager due our original cabin needing to be utilized by construction personnel).
The room was very beautiful and recently renovated. Nice, secluded area with a good view.
The biggest upset was due to the hot tub not functioning after the 1st night.
We specifically wanted hottub accommodations, that is why we booked at The Hideaways in the first place.
After a day of hiking 8+ miles and coming back to a cold tub the 2nd night was disheartening. Maintenance was called in the morning, around 0900 and did not show up to repair the hottub until after 4pm. Even repaired, the temp was not even close to hottub temp before we left mid morning the next day. Needless to say there was some disappointment in this vacation.

Stayed at RV site #4. We had full hookups , sites were played out very nicely. These are camp sites with full hookups, no other amenities. It was very quiet and peaceful. WE LOVED IT! Would definitely stay here again.

Overall the place was okay. We spent 5 days for our honeymoon here. We loved the privacy of the cabin and having a hot tub. We also enjoyed being able to cook or go out to eat for meals. But what we didn't appreciate was that when we arrived the stove timer was making a loud noise, we tried turning it off but couldn't. Reached out to maintenance and they suggested to unplug the stove and so we figured they would be out the next day since we arrived late but we were there 5 days and no one showed or reached out again. Also there was dust everywhere in the cabin, on the walls, the ceiling fan, the bathroom ceiling had mold on it due to no exhaust fan. Lastly the arm of the hot tub cover was broken but the part was ordered. The furniture wasn't very comfortable but we realize that these cabins may not get the best quality. I felt it was a lot of money spent to have these issues. Would we stay here again? Only if we didn't find anything else first.

We stayed at this cabin for our 32nd anniversary weekend March 10th thru 12th, 2023. It was everything we had hoped for. I would say it is even nicer than what the pictures show. The only thing we were not really happy with was the water pressure in the shower was very low, but then again, this is a cabin, not a 4 star hotel. The inside and outside, location, hot tub, wrap around porch, the kitchen supplies, everything was absolutely wonderful.
Will reccomend this cabin to friends if they ever go to the area, and will definetly stay here again if we every go back.
The hiking was beautiful as well. It was a little chilly when we were hiking in March but glad we went this time of year, as I am sure when the weather gets better, the trails get packed with people. Very pretty waterfalls and neat caves!

We had a lovely time at the Nature's Paradise cabin. The cabins are a bit off the main highway so it was quiet and peaceful. The cabin is very small (only one room other than the bathroom) but that was perfect as there were only two of us. The hot tub was nice and the view was beautiful. We couldn't find any good pictures of the inside of the cabin before booking so weren't sure what to expect - I included some photos here for anyone else who may be interested in the future. Check-in was easy and contactless, and the place was clean and welcoming!

We just got back from a 3 night stay with High Rock Hideaways and was very pleased. I was scared from a previous review about bed bugs which was all over the internet, but it seemed like all the reviews were all from the same people/couple. Absolutely no bed bugs and we actually ended up staying in two different cabins because we decided that we wanted to stay an extra night and we were lucky enough to find they had a cabin open. I'm not a professional exterminator, but I do know how to look for bed bugs and found zero evidence of them. In fact, there were very few bugs or insects in the cabin period despite being right up against the woods in the middle of summer. Both cabins, The Yesteryear and The Trail Ridge were very clean and comfortable with awesome views of the woods that were right up against our back balconies, which I totally loved. Cabins are all on the same property, but they are plenty far enough away from each other that you feel all alone; total privacy. There are even private trails right on the property and the owners live on site as well in case there are any problems. Owners are very accessible if you call, which I did, because I had a couple of questions. They are very friendly and helpful as well. Cabins are well appointed and both had nice gas grills, nice hot tubs, and fire pits with firewood provided. The kitchens were well stocked and I had everything I needed to prepare meals with. The property is very close to all the popular hiking spots like Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Old Man's Cave, etc. We loved this place and I'm very glad that I tried this place out. The only suggestion is maybe a few more towels for the hot tub and extra blankets for the bed. I miss this place already! We will be back.

Our stay at High Rock Hideaways left much to be desired. The location was good, the cabin was adorable and the perfect size, and the hot tub was great. BUT there are hundreds of rules, we had to do all of the cleaning ourselves, the water was disgusting, the furniture was very uncomfortable, and they only provided us 2 towels. The water was the worst. I understand it's natural for the water to be full of sulfur, but it's also common to treat said water. They do not. We had a very hard time showering and then the cabin stunk for the rest of the stay. We have stayed at other cabins in the area that were a lot more peaceful and cozy. We won't be staying here again.

We are regular visitors to the HHills area and enjoy staying in different cabins each time. This was our first stay at one of the High Rock cabins. We stayed in the Landing cabin for 2 nights. The hosts were very quick in answering a question prior to booking and we appreciated the answer - the cabin was immaculate. We appreciated the things that were provided to get us started and everything worked as it should. The gas grill was newer and worked great. The hot tub was older but worked great. Just a couple things to be aware of (these are not complaints). High Rock cabins are in 2 groups of cabins and we would not call them private - you are not alone in the woods as many cabins are. The Landing is right beside the property road and is very close to 2 other cabins. It is also within eyesight of the house that is nearby so...there were the usual noises from people....we heard talking and radio music at night - just be aware of this. The fire ring is across the road away out in the open - we did not use it because it wasn't private but we did appreciate that wood was provided for a fire. The Landing is similar to the other cabins here... a cozy cabin … especially the bathroom - it was pretty tight. BE AWARE - as with many cabins in HHills, the water does have a sulfur..rotten egg... smell (we would have liked to have known this as we do not like this and is the reason for only 4 stars) but it may not bother you. While you only smell it when the water is running it can be strong. I wish all cabin owners were required to disclose in the property descriptions if there water has that smell … but they don't... Finally, the power went out in a rainstorm the morning we left - so with no power there was no cooking on the electric stove or seeing in the dark cabin because there aren't many windows. I noticed someone else commented about the power being out in the guest book so I would recommend you bring a good flashlight as this may be a frequent problem. We had a small one but still had to gather our things and straighten up in the dark. Not a big deal, though. We did enjoy our short stay.
