A quaint, comfortable, clean hotel right next to the Ohio to Erie bike trail. The owner Ruth and all the staff were most welcoming. Continental breakfast was full of filling and healthy options. Room amenities were first class. And the price was right. Jo Ann Ropp

Felt like home! Very cozy. Loved all the historical memorabilia!!
All areas and room very clean and neat.😃
Hotel staff friendly, hospitable and helpful.
The manager, Stuart was very knowledgeable of the area, historical significance and where to dine in the surrounding areas.
Close to bike path and hiking areas.
I highly recommend and would stay here again!!❤️

Wife and I stayed in the jacuzzi suite on a Thursday night. The staff was friendly and helpful with local attraction information. The stay was quiet, the room very clean, and nice furnishings. The breakfast was available at 7:30 am and included yogurt, fruit, bagels, muffins, cereal, breakfast sandwiches to warm and coffee. We would definitely stay again given the opportunity.

I'll start with the good: I made my reservation by phone (as suggested online to request a ground level room since there's no elevator), and the man was very nice and helpful. The place was really cute and very near the college campus, which we were visiting the next day! Location was the main reason for choosing it. ||The not-so-good: When we checked in and I was told we would be on the 2nd floor, I told them I requested a ground level room over the phone. I was told there was no note of that and they were sorry. My husband doesn't do stairs well, which is why the request was made.||The room was fine, but, as typical for sleeping away from home, uncomfortable. The shower was very slow draining, so you stood in a couple of inches of water. ||At breakfast, the man at the front desk was rather obnoxious, going on and on the whole time about how they were better than Motel 6 (several times, like he had a major ax to grind with Motel 6. Even my teen said, "Wow, he had a beef with Motel 6!") Breakfast consisted of mainly packaged baked goods. There was some fruit salad, and we did find some packaged frozen sandwiches with microwave instructions. Again, fine, but underwhelming. ||To round it out, I realized several hours into our drive home that we didn't receive the discount promised online to those visiting Cedarville University. ||If our child ends up choosing Cedarville, I think we'll at least look into places in Yellow Springs. For the price difference, it's not much further away to try.

The Hearthstone Inn & Suites was an absolute dream! We will certainly be back. :)|My boyfriend and I booked a room right before the holidays as a quick getaway, and we could not have been happier with our stay. |Stewart, one of the owners, was so welcoming and hilarious! He and his wife have owned the inn for 30 years, and you can see the pride and care they and their staff put into it, which is just so hard to find nowadays. It was so beautiful, cozy, clean, and relaxing!

We loved everything about the Inn! It felt like a home away from home and Stuart and staff were so welcoming and informative! We loved the history about the town that was at the Inn and the cozy breakfast room and wonderful coffee! We were visiting Yellow Springs and the hotel was less than 10 minutes from there and such an easy drive! We will highly recommend the Inn to friends!

This is a gem of a hotel. The lobby is very homey and comfortable, and the staff are extremely friendly. It's only a 5 minute walk to downtown Cedarville. They have a Continental breakfast, but it's mostly cold items like cereal, hardboiled eggs, muffins, or microwavable burritos but it's still appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is the kind of place where you can tell everyone cares, I felt cared for while I was here. It's also only a 15 minute drive to Yellow Springs. I'd recommend anyone stay here.

I stayed here for an interview i had at cedarville university which was perfect because the campus was about a 2 minute drive from the hotel. i drove through the center of town and got to see all of the cute little stores. the staff was super friendly when i checked in and recommended places to eat since a lot of them had closed for the storm. the room itself was clean and the bed was comfy! my room was a double queen and there was a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom as well as inside the bathroom which could be nice if you’re traveling with multiple people! overall, i had a great experience and would stay here again.
