This place is wonderful! The cottage is cozy, clean & perfectly located. I loved being able to make a meal & do laundry! The beds were the most comfortable! The hosts were very informative & communicated well. I would highly recommend & definitely come back!

Mixed reviews from my dad and I.

My dad prefers the resort style of RV park so he really was not a fan of this park. It’s very bare bones and he appreciates a fancier park.

I feel like it had all of the basics that we needed, which were a big enough space, the correct hook ups, WiFi, and access to the redwoods with the bonus of being right on a beautiful creek. It’s less than 2 miles from Lady Bird and about 10 minutes to Prairie Creek.

I also liked that I could book and check in online. It was also less expensive than the resort style.

I guess it all depends on what you’re looking for.

This location was EXCELLENT for easily accessing some of the most scenic places in the Redwood parks. And Char, the manager, was always very responsive to my questions via text. I greatly appreciated that.

We came during a very rainy period, and I’m not sure if that had anything to do with the grounds, but they weren’t the most aesthetically pleasing. It felt safe enough, maybe just the age of the buildings, I don’t know. It just wasn’t very inviting.

But, nonetheless, it was located in a great vicinity to attractions, WiFi was great, hook ups were great, it just wasn’t the prettiest spot.

Would definitely still stay here again!

Drove in at 8pm. Followed the signs for the office to a dead end with no obvious way to turn around. Office at the end of the one-lane street is a billboard with no map. Site numbers are at the end of the sites which makes it difficult to navigate in the dark. Did a U-turn on the grass and got stuck in mud. Apparently this happens enough for the owner to be upset about it yet not often enough to put up any signs not to drive on the grass.

When the towing showed up the next morning, the camp host came out to tell us not to drive on the grass, then proceeded to call a friend to complain about our situation. $500 later, we drove off and found spot 1 mile further and had breakfast near the ocean.

Strongly recommend to avoid this place.

Been struggling with this one. Read about the place...self contained units! So going in we knew, and can be self contained. The Elk freely roam, so there is no guarantee you will see them. We stayed a week and they were there in great numbers for two days in a row...then didn't see them again. They have signs posted telling people not to stop there to see the Elk. But that didn't stop them, some even got out and stood in the middle of the herd to take selfies. Now Hwy. 101 can be busy with logging trucks and so on...2 lanes... But people would stop regardless. The first full day we were there power, water and wifi went out. The host there mentioned to us that he doesn't really care to use technology anyway. But there is no phone signal or data from the cell phone carriers so ... When that's gone, you are off grid pretty much. They did let us run our generator until things were fixed. We had been concerned about that before we came. Called and they said it was unpredictable but doesn't happen that often. This place has like 7 RV spots. And a few cabins. It's was pretty muddy and not a lot of people camping there. Some would come in for an overnight stay. It is not secure at all. The folks there are nice, but you don't really see them. For updates on the power and water... We had to ask. The Wi-Fi.. We just have to keep checking. Not a nicely kept up place. No we won't be back. That said, most of the stuff they warned you about when you are in contact with them is true. However, said their wifi has improved... Well most of the time we couldn't get through a phone call, or texting as you have to be on WiFi calling to use your phone. Most of the time it would drop every few minutes. Streaming was pretty tough. We played a lot of cards. There are also bears that frequent the area so be mindful about hanging outside and leaving things out.

Charlene and her husband were our property's managers. They were both incredibly responsive and an absolute pleasure to deal with. The home itself was very comfortable, roomy, clean and location very convenient. The items that were stocked in the house (coffee, paper products, cooking oil, etc.) were more than we expected and this helped us not need to shop the day we got there. The bedrooms were big and the beds were very comfortable and sheets top quality. The bathroom was very clean and roomy and the shower was amazing! My wife and I sat next to each other in the side by side recliners each night watching television and they were so great, we are going to buy the same ones for our personal home. All in all, I would highly recommend this property and Charlene the property manager. We would absolutely book again with Charlene and her husband. Great job!

My review is based on their cancellation policy of charging 50 bucks to cancel a reservation four months in advance.

We are planning a road trip and I accidentally overbooked myself. I understand two week or 72 hour cancellation policies. Four months? There shouldn’t be a fee for that.

Absolutely impressed with the accommodations and the location we had the best family thanksgiving and time. Loved all the activities that’s around the site. I highly recommend the various hikes and tee canopy tour it was amazing. And the elks in the front and backyard hit the spot
