If you're looking for a great fried chicken place, this is it! From their chicken sandwiches to their cauliflower nuggets ; the food is mouth watering. I highly recommend the mac and cheese bowl with the nuggets! Also their sweet sauce is an even better combination than honey! This is a new favorite food place!

Good tasting food, extremely fresh ingredients, but be prepared to break the bank. $20 for a meal, for the soda to come in a can. The Fuego fries are decently mild and have all the toppings: coleslaw, chicken cubes, sauce. Cute place, great service, decently clean!

Come to the new Storrs location of Haven Hot Chicken, where the heat is on and the flavor is never poultry! Get ready for a cluckin' good time that will leave you craving more! 🔥🐔

- **Just as a disclaimer, I was invited to media day for the opening of this restaurant, so I acknowledge that my experience may vary from others since the opening. I had not visited the other Haven Hot Chicken restaurants in CT, but I am a big fan of Nashville style hot chicken and am glad it is getting more traction in the New England collegiate scene. The opening was used as a training for the employees and from what I saw, the staff was courteous and friendly. I had the sandwich in medium, a single tendie in haven, and a banana pudding (my favorite).

Hot tip: they actually have two additional spice levels called "off menu" and "double off menu," but eat at your own risk. We witnessed two brave people trying it, and they had to briefly step out of the restaurant and chug boxed waters. Regular flavors are country (no heat), mild, medium, hot, and haven. They also have cauliflower nuggets and fuego fries (great that there are vegetarian options available too).

Unique taste with wide range of heat levels! I would recommend Fuego Fries as a must try 💯 It is a complete meal with fries, tendie and pickles and their signature Rob sauce. Single Tendie or Tendie Slider can be good ones for snacks. Overall, it seems a little pricey though the quality and taste of foods makes it worthy indeed 🙂 If you’re in Storrs and fried chicken lover with Halal dietary restrictions, Haven Hot Chicken 🐔 might be a good try👍

Chicken is fantastic. Doesn't feel like "fast food" chicken at all. A little pricy BUT I honestly think it's worth it. The tenders are MASSIVE, crunchy and not dry at all. Housemade ranch is amazing. The chicken sandwich is very tasty (also massive). We really liked the banana pudding, has cinnamon in it which we loved and have never tasted in banana pudding before. Also the service was quick, and the lady who helped us there was very kind 🙂

I just came at 11am when they opened. I tried to order my usual kids meal. The lady first asks if it’s for me or someone else because they are trying to crack down on adults ordering kids meals. Ridiculous. I am a bariatric patient and have had more than half of my stomach cut out, meaning I can only eat small portions of food. Ordering anything else wouldn’t make sense for me. She also tells me they are making the portion smaller and only offering apple juice with it. I always ordered the water because I also have to watch my sugar intake as it can make me violently sick and vomit. The greed is what is really turning me off here. The prices are already outrageous but the food itself is really good that I don’t mind paying over $8 for the kids meal. Now that they are really trying to stick to kids only and cutting back portions for the same price is where they are losing me.
She also tells me they are all out of fries lol WHAT?! You’re a chicken joint, how do you even let that happen? I left and ordered food somewhere else. I don’t see this place lasting here much longer honestly. You should be encouraging guests to come into your store and be grateful they spend their money with you ESPECIALLY with this economy! You’re pushing people away.
