I hate to put out a bad review, weve been living in ojai for 20 years, and never been. Mother's Day we decided to go..my daughter wanted to treat me..how sweet. We were seated, just beautiful. So we thought okay all is good, and my daughter was happy. We were happy, until we weren't. So the waiter was very nice..but it took along time to get our food. My daughter had the lemonade, and i the arnold palmer..both were grose..taste like sour water. The appitizer came out, didn't like it.
I ordered the lamb burger- the combination was nasty. All the flavors didnt mesh well.
My daughter ordered the fried chicken sandwich- she thought it was ok..she didnt finish it.
My son the brisket melt- he said it was disgusting it taste sour and grose. He didn't finish it.
The ranch was sour and tasted funny.
The only thing that was edible were the fries, but even those were saturated with lots if oil.
$94 later we left a bit disappointed. The owner Anne was very sweet and very kind..all though we wont be back. I hope that if you try, u have a better experience. The place itself was beautiful..ps the water wasnt good either. But again the owner was sooooo nice, thank u for a beautiful ambience though..

Food is delicious! The service is a bit slow though. Took a while to order and be helped. Other then that, such a cute place for brunch.

The restaurant looks pretty, that's about it for me. We googled restaurants to eat in Ojai since we were on a day trip there, and this one had such good reviews that we decided to go for lunch.
We ordered burgers with fries and despite of how nice it looks in the picture the burger and fries were warm at best and the meat patty was burned, so much so that it was tough to eat and incredibly dry, same thing with the fries. We usually order burgers well done (especially since we order for our kid too), and on every single restaurant we've eaten, it has always been juicy, so this one was a complete letdown considering we were driving from LA and were already very hungry at the time. I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend it to others since it wasn't a good experience.

This place was pretty good. I had the potato pancakes and they were not a traditional potato pancake but it was still pretty good and the wife had chicken and waffles and i thought they were really good.service was great and we got sat right away.

Don't get confused by the host stand. At least during the day. No need to wait to be seated. Order at the counter and then pick a table. The friendly service from wait staff to the owner makes you feel like you popped by a friend's house, welcoming. Just take a seat and grab a bite of absolutely delicious food. I rarely finish my plate but to leave a crumb of my potatoe pancakes topped with veggies and a poached egg would have been a crime! My fiance got a burger and said "Now, that's what I call a burger". The drinks were refreshing and just the right amount of alcohol. The little cupcakes at the counter a perfect little treat. Whatever you do, don't pass up a chance to eat at Harvest Moon.

Another highly recommended restaurant nearby had an hour wait, so we sailed right in here with no wait at all. Started with a lovely bottle of wine and beautiful cheese platter. Then dinner was salmon tacos, lamb, steak and salad for four of us. Everything was amazing!! Still trying to figure out why this isn't more highly rated. Awesome location, great service, relaxing atmosphere and delish food. We'll be back!

This is a foodies paradise and I can taste the love in each dish! The warm, grilled peach arugula salad with burrata cheese, grilled chicken with grilled pineapple on a bed of fresh greens and the divine cheeseburger are some fabulous favorites! The owner is so gracious and her staff are exceptional!

Came here for an early dinner as part of a girls day out last minute. A hidden gem! The food and drinks were great, service was also great, but that might be because we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. I hope they can drum up more business, especially on a Saturday night. The interior ambience and decor needs a refresh and the hostess podium outside needs to be manned. The menu needs an update as well, this place has a lot of potential just needs to be marketed better. We would come again next time we're in town.
