Been going to Lake of the Woods for decades & never knew of this place. One of the most beautiful restaurants' & bars around (the actual bar is a masterpiece)! Beautiful pool table too. Drinks were extremely reasonable! Not sure about the food? The waterfront deck is awesome. John and his staff is super friendly. Rooms look nice too. Bring the party & Rock this place!

Avoid this joint at all costs. ||Neither the wifi or television worked. When an employee finally came to try to fix it she could not.||Later we went to dinner and learned that only two employees were on duty. That is two very overworked women to cook, bartend, and serve the dinner crowd. Needless to say service was dismal. And no fault of the two very hard working employees.||Later that evening there was an area wide power outage. No one's fault and I'm not complaining about that.||When I called the owner, John Platt to request a refund. He met my request with a string of Fbombs and other profanities before hanging up.||Do not waste time and money at this clip joint.

We booked cabin 2. It was very nice and clean. Large tub and shower. There were only two staff on hand, but the service was good and friendly. However, Under heavy load, they could use more staffing.

This place could be amazing, but I assume they are under-staffed. We waited 40 minutes for menus, and then we never saw our waitress again so we left. There were only a few tables, so we couldn't figure out why the service was so poor. Also, the majority of the tables on the patio didn't have umbrellas so it was pretty uncomfortable sitting in direct sun on a hot day. The restaurant and the surrounding are absolutely beautiful, but we didn't get a chance to try the food.

I didn't stay in one of the cabins but did three nights in my travel trailer. It was wonderful, to say the least. The owner and staff were great. Restaurant and Bar was fantastic! The family and I wish we lived closer so we could be there every weekend. It was well worth our 7 hour (+/-) trip there and the other 7 hour (+/-) trip back. We will be returning and plan to make it a traditional family summer camp trip.

Stayed here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. HUGE bathroom with heated floors and a giant tub. Room was cute and clean. The only downside was that we were expecting an oven but we made do. Beautiful view and great location. The food at the restaurant was also delicious and had great service.

Don't eat in the restaurant! The service was horrible, and the food was worse. It took over an hour to get our meal. The hamburger was burnt to a crisp and the fries weren't even warm. One of our party ordered an omelet. It was crisp and the hash browns were soggy. Had to ask for utensils after the food got to the table. The management was so rude. Other customers were going back to the kitchen to see where their food was.

We loved our first ever stay here. We were in cabin 3. The bathroom is huge and the room is nice and clean. The restaurant and bar is beautiful. We brought our kayaks and I caught a huge lake trout in pelican bay, just a ten minute paddle from the resort. We will definitely come back. It’s a great location for local attractions and the place is very special because of the crystal clear fresh water spring that feeds the area. John and Julia who run the place are awesome but be prepared for a slower pace than the city. We really loved our stay here.
