First time here. So glad we tried it! We sat in the basement for lunch. Very quaint. Not a ton of seating but just how we like it. Nice bar area as well. The food was fresh and hot. The tables around us had an excellent selection of food as well, everything looked so good! We'll be back!

Easily one of the best brunch spots in Connecticut. Amazing service, great location, and the best food.

We've never had a complaint and love the great menu options.

Cannot recommend enough, just keep an eye out that it's street parking and you'll have to plan accordingly.

The absolute best sandwiches in town! Don't get me wrong the delis are good, but these are works of art. BCP's are a mind blowing invention that must be had to appreciate. Must include our fave cocktail, "El Warden" a ghost peper infused tequila creation. Speaking of the warden, the unique atmosphere here is part speakeasy - part dive bar. Did I mention the bar is in the basement of a legit historical prison!

Caesar dressing was the best I’ve ever had! Very Delicous, generous portion and definitely worth it. I also had the deviled eggs poppers and those were just as amazing ! The drinks were heavenly! I wish I could add pictures!
Will definitely be going back

Finally made it to Harrie’s Jail House restaurant in Middletown! We arrived on a Saturday around 1:30 and were directed to seating in the basement as the upstairs takes reservations for dinner only. The downstairs has a cozy vibe with a variety of tables at different heights and an L-shaped bar. With lighting on the dim side, we sat at a table next to a window. Our waitress was also the bartender, so we were very patient as she juggled drink orders with food orders like a pro! The menu has a nice variety of options that all sounded so good we know we’ll be back to try them. I had the “Sanguiche” sandwich with two huge pieces of crispy thin eggplant atop, turkey, salami, ham, provolone, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, Italian dressing, and fig jam served hot on a fresh grinder roll. D-E-L-I-S-H!! We shared the “Two’Fer” platter of super thin, crispy onion rings and French fries with two dipping sauces – so good you have to make yourself stop eating them, or not! Parking is tricky and they do talk about that on their website under the “More” tab. The sidewalk to the basement entrance is wheelchair/walker accessible with a few uneven surfaces here and there. Once inside, it is narrow for a wheelchair, but doable (I would call ahead). Already looking forward to our next meal at Harrie’s Jail House!

$19.32 (with tax, basically $20) for an average burger with no sides is just way too over priced. If you go here go only for drinks. Decent atmosphere but I’d never go for food. Pictured below was my $20 burger, almost worse than stadium food prices. Parking is also difficult if you go during busy hours.

The atmosphere was good. We sat outside. I wish I could remember the name of all the dishes. We had a dish that was like a breaded deviled egg top with jalapeños. I have the steak and cheese sandwich. My friend had the buffalo chicken fries. The lemonade was pretty decent.
