The owner is creepy. He comes in the rooms when you're not there and messes with stuff. He turned off our heat and it's 27 degrees outside. I'm sick and and had the window cracked and he said we aren't allowed to have our window open. There are roaches everywhere. We bought a pizza put it on the table smoked a cigarette and when we went to eat our pizza it was covered in roaches. This place is disgusting and the owner is a jerk.

Owner was rude when I came to pay for room when we got into the room the room reeked of weed and cigarettes the sheets were dirty burn holes in the comforters pee in the toilet toilet paper almost gone with no refills floor was filthy microwave turntable was broken very few outlets and none by the beds so overall very bad owner needs to fix the place up for what he's charging i can get the super 8 up the road for the same price if not cheaper and comes with breakfast and a pool and nice staff

This place was a great room overall, definitely good for the price. The only issue we had was the lack of community wifi but other than that the place was good. Made some good memories with my family.

We were working out of town and staying here. We had two rooms. One reeked like cat piss so bad you couldn’t bear to be in there. The shower took 5 minutes to get hot and stayed hot for two minutes before becoming ice cold. The shower In our other room was unusable as it sprayed water all over the entire bathroom out of the wall. The tv is attached to the light switch and had to reboot if you turned it off. There’s no plugs on the wall that the beds are on. The towels were all stained. The beds were dirty. The filthiest chair I’ve ever seen was here. It looked as if someone had become deceased whilst sitting there multiple times. This place is not for me. I would give zero stars if I could.

Decor is dated but room is very clean, heat works great. Everything works as it should. Quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff. GREAT value for the price

The hotel staff themselves were very kind and attentive. However, this hotel is NOT for anyone who needs quiet to sleep or has a family- it turns into a night club and people are literally in the street throwing glasses and screaming every single night. No matter the night. Til around 4am. Other than that, quick walk to city center! Nice spot within walking distance to st. Stephen’s green.

Rooms I’ve been in have been clean. The family who runs this motel are very nice and welcoming. There are many rooms with “long term” guests who live there, have never had an issue. I’ve been staying here every weekend for the past 4 months and I’ve enjoyed my stay every time.

I am actually very impressed. This is certainly an old motel that has seen better times. BUT our room is clean, new carpet, bed decent with good mattress. Not a speck of dust anywhere! New flat screen TV with cable, WiFi. New microwave and fridge with freezer.
We brought our own coffee maker.
Don't expect designer soap and shampoo, just bring your own stuff.
We came to bicycle and the motel is right by the park!
Harcourt Motel is our new favorite place to stay in Mt. Vernon!
