Happy Sandwich Caribbean Cuisine is a true gem in downtown Allentown, PA! I had lunch today and got the jerk chicken with Ms. Carol’s spicy red jerk sauce—fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor. The sides of white rice, rice with peas (beans, so good!), and onions with cabbage were perfect. Ms. Carol’s special garlic sauce added an extra wow factor. She even treated me to special fries with her white garlic sauce and honey sauce—absolutely delicious!

Ms. Carol’s warmth and joy are infectious; she was singing while preparing my order, making the experience so welcoming. I called after to thank her for the incredible meal. This spot is a must for authentic Trinidadian Caribbean cuisine. Can’t wait to come back!

If you’re looking for an authentic Caribbean experience in Allentown, it can’t get any better than here! Ms. Carol’s pleasant personality and hospitality bring the atmosphere home! We had the jerk chicken topped with her homemade garlic sauce and pickled white onions with curried cabbage & white rice. Curry goat with curry cabbage and white rice topped with gravy. The curry goat roti (with dhalpuri in the roti) and beef patty’s are home made and top notch. Everything here is from scratch. I asked what the secret to the flavors she obtains and her reply was LOVE! Every morsel is packed with flavor almost taking you to the island! I will definitely be stopping back here soon!

Cosy, quaint, and homely furnished, the food is delectable. The lady (Miss Carol) beautifully spreads her positive charm in the whole place with great service and food cooked from the heart. She definitely enjoys serving her tasty 😋 creations and you definitely will enjoy each bite as I did. I ordered roti and goat(first time experiencing the Caribbean version) and I was not disappointed. My ignorant questions were answered respectfully even got a quick lesson on how to eat my food the right way 😁 (like Ethiopian anjera)

Food spiced just right and properly done. The portions are generous and music not too loud.

Definitely a nice place to have a meal if you like cosy homely environments. She does take away as well.

Best Caribbean food I’ve had. Mrs. Carol (hope I spelled that correctly) is a phenomenal chef and hostess. She creates a wonderfully fun atmosphere that compliments her superb food and drinks. We had the beyond double and her special Mauby drink (neither are on the menu). We also sampled her red curry chicken after our meal, and it was mouth water good…even on a full stomach.This place is a hidden gem to say the least.

Absolutely the "BEST" food I've had on this side of town. The owner was so personable. I felt like I was at home. Was so comfortable and didn't want to leave. She is the top notch. I ate shark here as well. So please if you do decide to come to this location please try the shark cause it's the best thing of the sea from her hands.everything was spectacular "REALLY" She has mad skills and she is one singing like. I was dancing like happy feet in her establishment.
