On 10/20 we made our second trip to Wetumpka AL and booked again at the Hampton Inn. Both visits were great! We found our room on both visits very clean, well managed as well as comfortable.
The staff has always been pleasant and helpful. Their free breakfast and the space it is offered in is always great. On our last stay they had even decorated the area with adorable Halloween decor. In this most recent stay we were returning home from a 15 day road trip in which we stayed at three different Hilton Hampton Inns and this one was hands down the best for all things. We like to take advantage of the Hilton app check-in that allows us to pick our room based on the pricing we booked under. We also like to use the digital door key option and we found the digital door key worked great in Wetumpka! We spent one night of our trip at the Hilton Old Town Hotel in Alexandria VA and experienced issues with their digital door key system. We found it interesting that a small adorable inn in the small town of Wetumpka AL had their digital key system working perfectly while the very pricey upscale hotel in Alexandria VA had a digital door key system that worked on a 50/50 schedule.

I give this place a thumbs up all the way. Very very clean and new looking. The rooms were beautiful and the service was excellent. I forgot my toothbrush and hairbrush and they gave me a complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, comb. The location is in a historic part of town which is not fancy but it was kind of neat. Right next door to Dairy Queen so I had dinner there. The full breakfast was free and very good. I loved the waffles and omelettes.

I have been staying in Wetumpka during the week for the better part of a year. Nowhere will ever be perfect but they come really close!|Staff are A-1, especially Brandi Creamer and Ramona Guest, who made me feel at home…well, I only spend twice as much time there than at home! When Nikki and Alex were there, they were pretty good too! I was pretty shocked that I was sad to be leaving. Most are willing to go out of their way to make your stay more comfortable. Not many give you a hard time-even when asked to make fresh coffee.|Oh, they now serve the liquid original coffee mate-the best version. Kwik Sack lost over $5./day when they changed. Coffee lovers take their condiments very seriously, It is worth mentioning the beds and pillows are very comfortable.

Property is quite average. Noticed little things that indicate the hotel is showing its age (rust, deteriorating paint). The elevators are quite noisy. Our room was fine, but AC unit kept it FREEZING. The shower drain was running very slow - a probable clog. One lamp bulb kept flickering. Breakfast was the usual Hampton Inn breakfast, nothing special but no complaints.

I checked into my room 4-19-2024 @ 6:10pm. The bed looked like someone just got up and threw the covers on in a hurry. The bath room had a strong smell of urine. I called the front desk and the clerk only offered air freshener. I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. For the price I paid I should have been offered another room. Once there was a shift changed I spoke with an adult and explained my issues she made a report. I am going to report this to the health department in Wetumpka Alabama so these rooms can be inspected if possible. I don't think I will be staying there again.

April 20, 2024 a negative experience made positive by management!!!
I was contacted by the manager at Hampton Inn and she turned a negative experience into a positive one. Housekeeping came in cleaned the bathroom/ brought clean bedding. The room smells great and its clean. Thank you Ma'am for making the remainder of my stay a very pleasant one and I will be back!!! Thank you so very much!!

Our complaints/issues: |1) for checkout at noon, why is housekeeping knocking at our door at 6 am and we even have the do not disturb sign on our door?|2) someone was stomping on the floor above us. I know that hotel management cannot control customers, but when asked about it, they have the nerve to say no one is above you (which is a lie because there was ONLY ONE ROOM available when we have been searching for hotels and so many others had no vacancy).|3) for the Hampton Happiness Guatantee, this is NOT how customer get that satisfaction.||We have stayed at other Hampton Inns and this was the worst experience we have had when a good night's rest is what is needed during a long trip.

Second time staying here. Clean, friendly, safe location, great breakfast and easy access to anything you might need within a couple minutes drive. Would definitely recommend Hampton Inn Wetumpka. Very family friendly staff.

Had a couple of problems with our room but it was taken care of within the day. Service 5 star! Cleanliness 5 star!
