Really sad l have to leave this bad review for my favorite Hilton Chain, but this place needs some funding for updates and better housekeeping! The good stuff: delicious breakfast, Very Kind front desk help. The bad stuff: Carpet in halls was filthy. The wallpaper was falling off in our room and the halls. Our floor’s ice machine was broken. The room had black patterned carpet that l could tell was dirty even so. Our bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly; there was toilet paper in the toilet and splash marks all over the seat and back. The tub was dirty and had standing water in it! This scared me so l checked the bedding and there were obvious sights the sheets were NOT changed, (detritus in bed) plus when l was provided new bedding, l saw smeared blood on the comforter and one pillow! We kept our shoes on and slept well once l had clean bedding and it was very quiet despite being full of guests.

FYI: l rarely give out these details when l review a place but this was so bad l needed to vent! I also love being a Hilton Honors member and have NEVER stayed at a Hilton hotel that l didn’t like until now.

My family had booked three rooms total just to stay the for some where to sleep for 8 hours as we had full days of traveling. We checked into the room close to 10pm. I did not have a good feeling checking into the hotel, but with traveling with young kids so late, we decided to go to the rooms since it was way past their bedtime. Wallpaper was falling off the walls in the hallways. The hotel smelled old and dirty. When arriving to the room itself, the disgust was everywhere. Counters were not wiped down, the floors were so sticky that my shoes were then making noise wherever I walked. There was a blueberry right on the floor near the fridge. I’m not quite sure how they could’ve missed that while “cleaning” the room after the last guests. The shower had rust coming from the tub. The vent in the bathroom on the ceiling was completely covered in dust. We had booked the room needing to use the pull out couch. The orange couch was disgustingly stained. I was not even willing to touch the couch let alone someone sleep on the sofa part underneath. The room had bugs. There was some sort of red splattered on the full length mirror near the bathroom. I guess the Hilton name means nothing anymore with their standards. I called and tried to talk to a manager (Hugh). I wanted to inquire about how they go about cleaning their rooms to make sure it is sanitary for guests. With all of the very obvious things in our room that were filthy, I am going to guess that they do not get cleaned after every guests stay. Hugh said he does not specifically check to see if the rooms are clean. Well then who does To end the experience, he hung up on me when I was talking , and I called back and he simply did not answer. Awful sanitation, and awful customer service.

Folks if you’re accustomed to staying at Hampton Inns, don’t stay at this one ! I live half of my life in hotels, generally at Hilton properties when possible. I know that the perfect hotel doesn’t exist, and I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect cleanliness. This property is not up to Hampton standards at all, great staff, nice looking property outside, nice lobby, and great staff. That being said, this hotel is not clean, hallway carpets are filthy, and worn badly. Room is about half clean, and everything in it needs a refurb, simply throwing a little paint on it would go a long way. Everything in rooms is old, and outdated, baseboards look like they’ve been in a war zone, metal on lamps is all rusted, and I could go on ….. Pass this one by if at all possible !

Let me start by saying this hotel was fine and I would stay here again. The beds were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was standard, and the coffee was fresh and hot.

That said, you could tell that they were starting renovations soon as wallpaper in the hallways was peeling off everywhere, the carpet seemed a bit neglected, and things seemed a bit dated in the rooms.

I read all the reviews. Most were about the gross carpet and falling down wallpaper in hallways. All true. Definitely needs some love and attention! Service was very good, breakfast was good, for hotel food, I was satisfied. I got a great room that I requested on first floor, I have bad knee and ankle so I didn’t want to trek all my stuff up the elevator. I was very happy I the room I did. Nice place, but very dirty in some areas, I hope they’re doing renovations! That’s the only reason for me anyway, no 5 stars. Would stay there again.

The staff was nice, and as far as I could tell the room was clean. However, this Hampton Inn is long overdue for a renovation. Peeling wallpaper, cracked and loose tiles in the bathroom, etc.. I will find another property in the future.

Worst Hampton that I have ever seen. I wish I would have read the reviews but saw the 4 out of 5 overall and have always trusted the Hampton brand. Desperately needs updating. The hallway carpets were torn and horribly stained. Stained bathtub and toilets. Shampoo conditioner in shower was empty. Coffee maker in the room didn't work. Ice machines were empty. Breakfast juices at 7:45 am were empty.

Gave it a 2 only because it was quiet and we got sleep. |Otherwise STAY away!!! Wallpaper coming off walls, buckets catching water everywhere, carpet in 249 is DISGUSTING! My shoes stuck to it…seriously. Carpet in hallways dirty and old. Bathroom was clean but very old. Didn’t take our shoes off except to sleep. Paris Hilton wouldn’t step foot in this place. They need to shut down and rehab this place.
