Perfect place for a trip to Mystic Aquarium. Minutes down the road. Hotel was clean, beds were comfy, bathroom spacious. The breakfast was your typical hotel quality with lots of options: cereals, breads, oatmeal, boiled eggs, waffle maker, eggs, potatoes, bacon, yogurt etc... Will absolutely stay here again.

This hotel was quiet. It is a couple of blocks from The Shoppes at Mystic. They serve coffee and hot coco 24 hours a day. Breakfast is included but they did not have a lot of fruit and too much sweet stuff. There is a little convenient place in the hotel. The pillows were way too soft for me.

If you’re staying in Mystic, you have a choice of chain hotels on the highway or Inns/B&Bs closer to the water and the town. I went with the chain hotels (much more affordable) and spent two nights at the Hampton Inn. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and, most important for me: it was very quiet. 95 is very close but I didn’t hear any highway noise. There were a lot of dogs staying at the hotel but they also seemed very well behaved! The free breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast and the area was clean and kept fully stocked. All the hotel people I encountered were pleasant. The location was fine - very quick/easy drive to all the Mystic attractions. I’m not planning to visit Mystic again, but if I did, I’d definitely stay at the Hampton Inn.

The hotel has potential, but it fell short in a few areas. The room was clean and spacious, but the air conditioning was too weak to cool the space properly. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were thin and provided little support. The bathroom had good water pressure but could use some renovations, as the tiles looked old and the grout was discolored. The staff were friendly, but the check-in process was slow. The location is convenient, but with some upgrades, this hotel could be much better.

I stayed for a single night as part of a bus tour. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and nice. The only negative I had was that the bathroom had a faulty shower head.

The hotel shares the property with a very old cemetery. The cemetery was the purpose of the trip as we had a guide tell us about the history and some of the paranormal experiences people have had there. I had an experience during our paranormal investigation which was filmed by a number of people in our group. It was absolutely amazing!

Overall, I would recommend staying here if the cemetery is a bonus for you. The hotel is also close to a specialty shopping area that has great food and souvenirs.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Mystic is in a great location near attractions like Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mistick Village, with family-friendly touches like a kids’ game area and a hot chocolate station.
However, the lobby had a noticeable pet smell, and the dining area could use updated booths. The pool was disappointing—cloudy water and an overpowering chlorine smell caused eye irritation, forcing us to leave after 20 minutes. Management was aware but didn’t address the issue.
Overall, a convenient stay, but cleanliness and maintenance need improvement.

Checking in was a breeze. Super clean, really nice lobby and breakfast eating area. Hotel was quiet throughout, room was nice and spacious! Super close to the shops, Aquariaum, and more options for eating. Will definitely be back again.
