I typically don't do reviews on hotels, businesses, etc, unless I truly feel passionate about it. This is one of those cases. We got into the hotel around 10:30pm and we left at 5am. It was a long day of driving with a short rest period. In the process of bringing in my bags, my iPad fell off and I did not notice that is was missing tell a day and a half later. I called in and they found it in the lobby and a couple days later I got my iPad back safe and sound. The staff were very friendly and easy to work with throughout the entire process. On top of that the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! Definitely worth staying here! Thank you for everything!

We stayed for 1 night passing through, we were able to get a King room with a pull out couch. Even though they are under construction, our room was super clean and very nice! If this is what they are upgrading their rooms too, they're on the right track. Keep up the good work! We will definitely keep you're location in mind for future trips.

Conveniently located, well renovated, and friendly staff. As of December 2024 the renovations are still in progress and the pool was closed but we were overall unaffected by the ongoing renovations. Our floor was clearly among those renovated and they did an exceptional job. Very impressed.

SOLO WOMEN BEWARE!!!
I last stayed here 4/21/24. I did not leave a review at the time because I thought the issue had been handled.
My husband and I travel to Texas at least twice a year from Iowa. We usually stay in McAlester or Muskogee.
That night we got here about 7:00. As usual. I went in to check us in while my husband unloaded the car. The check in with Mr H went smoothly and as he helped the next customer, my husband joined me at the elevator and we went up to our room on the 4th floor.
At 11.35 I was quietly working on something at the desk as my husband slept. There was a loud “cop-knock at the door. Thinking someone would realize they were at the wrong door, I ignored it. After the second “cop-knock” I headed to the door. As the third knock starts I look through the peephole and see Mr H standing there. I ask if I could help him. He said no one was to be in this room yet as the workers weren’t done with it. I told him he had checked me in four and a half hours before. I then opened the door a crack with the catch lock on. At that moment my still sleeping husband finally stirs and coughs. Mr H”s eyes opened wide when he heard this and he starts stuttering something about if everything is okay. I sharply told him it was and shut the door and turned the deadbolt.
I didn’t sleep that night. I have no idea what Mr H was planning, but every fiber in my being knew it was nefarious.
We went to breakfast in the morning and on the way ack by the desk I asked the gentleman there if I could speak to a manager. He insisted I tell him why. I started my story and when I got to the knock at 11:30 pm, the gentleman stopped me and got the manager. After I told her my story, she said “That’s what hap-“ and stopped.
An hour or two later we were on the road and told us our room was taken care. I was assured this wouldn’t happen again.
I believe it was in July or August when I called the hotel and asked if Mr H still worked there. Female answered with a laugh and said no.
Fast forward to tonight 1/30/25and guess who was there to give me room keys? That’s right, none other than Mr H.
We got here at 10:30, exhausted. My husband was ready to sleep and had been up at 4am this morning. So here we are. He’s sleeping and I am wide awake with anxiety. I have been loyal to Hilton for years. I’m afraid that will change soon.
I’d be curious to know if others had similar run ins with H?
If you are a woman traveling solo, please be VERY AWARE!! And know I am sorry I didn’t post this in April. But I thought he was fired.

Edited to add: The room was clean and comfortable. Not that I was comfortable. My husband slept wonderfully. I was awake only due to PTSD and anxiety. By this morning I had progressed to dry heaves. Thanks for that.
This was a handicap accessible room which I didn’t realize that when I checked in. Roll in shower with no closure. When you turn shower on the spray goes out of the enclosure and soaks the floor. Floor outside of shower area is EXTREMELY slippery. Trust me on that.

The hotel is under renovations. Our room was new, spacious, and clean. We checked in late in the evening and stayed one night. The staff was excellent. The breakfast had a great selection and was good. We travel through McAlester frequently to visit family. We will definitely stay again.

I usually don't write reviews, but this thia time I have to.

I walk in the hotel and it smells of cigarette smoke and there are no employees at the desk. I wait a few minutes and still no one I check myself in on the app and get a digital key. I go up to my room and realize I left something in my truck. I go back down stairs and I run into a employee who smells of marijuana.

The next morning I get up to leave and the front desk worker looked like he hadn't slept and you couldn't understand him as he was mumbling.

I stay at Hilton hotels all the time this is by far the worst.

I had to stay here one night because I couldn't get to my home after work because of the snow storm. They were very nice when I called to make a reservation. They were the same price as the nasty best western, who asked my zip code and then grilled me on why I wanted a room and then hung up on me.

Remodeling. Good for them. Clean. Here overnight. 1 star on staff encountered or would be higher. 4:30 a.m. staff, thought initially guest given costumey dress, hair. Pass her onroute to toileting dog. No smile, unpleasant look...Go back in. Pouring coffee and dogs about 8 ft. Out on leash. They are looking into, but not in dining area. We are yet in entrance hall.Two small schipperke dogs. No one else is up or out. Encounter same person exiting dining area. Turns out to be staff. Comes out, still no good morning, but a cool, curt. "Can I help you?"
Wow..that was a warm guest exchange!! Hoping it gets less chilly down there. though leaving a.m.
Hot tub down.
