Night and breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast could have used a protein option, bacon, ham, sausage or something, not sure what other options there are for breakfast 😁. They only had eggs if you were watching your carbs. The eggs were good and the coffee was hot. My room was clean, bed was comfy and the shower was hot 😉

We arrived at the Pendleton Hampton Inn and checked in after waiting 10 minutes for someone to come to the front counter. We were given the handicap room as I requested (123) as my wife has mobility issues. As night fell and we prepared to go to bed around 10:30PM, I discovered that the blackout shade did not pull down. It's a motorized shade so disabled people can operate it. I tried to operate the panel with no results, so I called the front desk. I was told the motor on the shade was broken and was not working. I asked if that meant that we had to sleep in the room with no shade pulled down, and was told yes. I wasn't offered a different room, and I cannot for the life of me understand how the front desk checked me into a room where the shade was not functional. We had to sleep with a street light shining directly into the room all night, and our privacy was compromised as well. If we can see out the thin shade in front of the window, then people can also see in. I found this to be completely unacceptable. I can't imagine what the situation might have been if a wheelchair-bound person had needed to use the room.
I complained in the morning to the front desk clerk, who of course was unhelpful and had no reaction to my request to be comped for the room for the inconvenience, or at least receive a discount. I am a Gold Member, and my son also works for Hilton. I understand that it might take some time to fix the shade, but in the meantime they either shouldn't let the room be occupied, or at least inform people when checking in that the shade doesn't work, and offer an alternative. The insensitivity to our situation was appalling. If you are staying at this particular location and are given Room 123, check the shade operation first. Do better, Pendleton.
EDIT: As is par for the course, the nameless "Guest Services Manager" throws an AI-created cut-and-paste word salad at this review and makes no effort to compensate me either through a refund, a discount, or even bonus points. They can say anything they like, but there is no accountability here, as no phone number or any other contact information is offered. They have charged me the full cost of the room despite the inconvenience. Be advised that if you stay here you will get lousy service and employees hiding behind slogans to mask their indifference. Except the breakfast guy. He was great. He deserves a raise.

I first want to acknowledge Justin (breakfast executive). He is very cordial and gives the best breakfast! Hotel is lucky to have him and would definitely stay again!

I love this hotel. The room was large, the water pressure was good. And the beds were comfortable. The room was also clean. There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was nicely laid out and delicious. I gave five stars because I could see that the staff providing the service are working very hard for people to be happy and comfortable.

Exceptionally poor customer service experience when trying to deal with this hotel. In person, I tried to cancel a reservation that was scheduled for a week out. They told me they couldn’t help (very strange) and told me to call into the corporate number. I called into the corporate number. I ended up talking to someone at a call center in India who also couldn’t help me cancel my reservation. I then tried to call the front desk of the hotel. I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up and called back. They again asked if they could put me on hold. I said no and then they told me they didn’t care and put me on hold again. I called several more times and no one answered.

This hotel is poorly managed and the people that work here don’t care about helping you. It’s also part of a corporate system that is designed to offer as little assistance as possible.

I would never recommend this place and will be actively telling anyone I know who stays in Pendleton to avoid this hotel.

With the casino doing construction, we have stayed here a couple of times. Im very pleased with how clean and comfortable the rooms are. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are nice and large and well appointed. The bathroom and showers are large and well laid out, and the bed is very comfortable. Overall, for the price, this is a great place to stay, and I recommend it. Also, they have tasty biscuits and gravy for breakfast!

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The decor is a little dated, but this hotel is clean and the beds are so comfortable. I have had great customer service every time I come, and my November stay was no different. Suzanna went out of her way to find a room for my elderly parents that was next to the elevator, and she helped us get an extra night when we had to extend our travel due to a snowstorm. I highly recommend this Hampton as a good choice for your stay in Pendleton.

The price seems a little high for the area, but everything was pretty nice. The coffee bar included hot chocolate and apple cider in the evening. They had good breakfast options, but needed some type of meat option. The pool and hot tub were both warm. The elevators were super cold, though!
