I have had the best experience with this Hampton Inn in Jackson, Alabama. The staff has all been very nice and helpful. The breakfast is always hot and fresh and very good! It's such a large variety of food and they even have waffles! There is a flat top grill and a picnic area for grilling. It's kept very clean. They are also pet friendly which is hard to find in a decent hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I recently stayed at the Hampton Hotel in Jackson, AL, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The first major issue occurred with housekeeping. The housekeeping staff displayed a complete lack of respect for privacy. Despite my loud and clear shout of "hold on," the housekeeper barged into the room without waiting, claiming to inspect after we had already received what we needed from another housekeeping staff. This complete disregard for privacy is unacceptable and deeply unsettling.

However, the real nightmare began when my sister and I woke up covered in bedbug bites. We had red, itchy welts all over our bodies, and it was clear that the room was infested.

When I reported the issue to the front desk worker, Alisha, I was shocked by the dismissive and disrespectful response I received. Instead of addressing the problem with urgency and concern, she brushed off my complaints. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of empathy is unacceptable, especially when it comes to the health and well-being of guests.

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The management clearly does not prioritize cleanliness or customer service. Save yourself the trouble and find accommodation elsewhere.

If you love dogs, this is your place. When we went into the first room it smelled strongly of wet dog and one was barking constantly down the hall. We went to the desk and were moved to the 3rd floor. When we walked into the replacement room, the window was wide open and the room smelled of Febreze. It was so hard to sleep with the smell that we had to leave the window open all night in 45 degree weather, but it was still intolerable. The staff tried to help and the location was good but the price was far more than any other Hampton we stayed and we were told the entire facility was pet friendly. We would never recommend this particular Hampton. They advertise 100% satisfaction and the clerk said she would take a percentage off but the entire price showed up on my account. I should receive a full refund at this point, since I am 100% DISSATISFIED!

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights for a family gathering, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. On the first night of our stay, a member of housekeeping knocked on our door and asked if we would like service. We declined, as we usually do at other hotels. Typically, housekeepers keep a log noting which rooms want service and which do not. However, about thirty minutes after the housekeeper left, the "housekeeper inspector" barged into our room while we were inside, claiming she was there to inspect the work of the housekeeper. After explaining that we had already declined service and that it was inappropriate for her to enter our room unannounced, she blamed us for not having the "Do Not Disturb" sign displayed. Not once did she take accountability. This situation was also brought to the hotel clerk as well.||On the second night, I woke up to find that my bed was infested with bed bugs. I had bites all over my arms, and my sister, who was sharing the room with me, experienced the same issue (attached are the pictures of my bites). When we brought this matter to the attention of the hotel clerk, Alisha, her response was defensive and unhelpful. It was very disheartening to see such an immature and unprofessional attitude from someone representing the hotel. I expected a much better level of service and care from a reputable establishment. I left this situation feeling as if I was seen as invaluable patron -- as if my issues were a bother and did not really matter. I am usually not one to write reviews however, I believe that this issue needs to be address swiftly and be known. I hope the management takes serious steps to address these issues and improve their customer service.

Positive: Best hotel in Jackson - stayed here many times due to my wife?s familial connections in Clarke County. Decent breakfast and rooms. Best you can do in the county. Negative: Cleanliness in the room. We moved the couch for my baby?s bed and there was a saltine and some trash under there. The carpet was super dirty and our feet got super dirty in the room. Not deal-breakers but room for improvement.

Very nice clean hotel, great staff and room cleaning. Breakfast was the same as all Hamptons but was hot plentiful and the area was clean. If your in the area it the best to go to.

Our nearby town lost power after a bad storm and it was going to be several days before it returned so my husband and I and my mom and sister stayed here for two nights. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, from Alisha at the front desk and Jessica with the yummy breakfast and all of the front desk associates we spoke with. Alisha even stuck back some cookies for us because we got back to the hotel so late. It’s caring touches like that which make small town living so special. We highly recommend Hampton Inn Jackson to everybody and we will always stay here if needed.

I stay at Hilton Properties for work and personal travel about 45 weeks of the year. On occassion, I can confuse places like Jackson Alabama and Jacksonville Alabama as happened this week. Though the mistake was absolutely mine and I should have been charged fully for that mistake, General Manager Porsha Johnson put my needs above the needs of her bottom line! I have remained a customer of Hilton Properties for many years through offers from other hotel chains precisely because of managers like Porsha Johnson!! Hampton lost $120 today but will reap tens of thousands of dollars a year because of customer servants like her. And I represent a team of twenty who all travel similarly and choose Hilton. Thank you Hilton and thank you Ms. Johnson!
