It was nice clean and well maintained. The breakfast could be focused a little more on latest health on fats and ingredient count. Yogurts with more than 5 ingredients are not a healthy choice nor is skim milk

Our room was clean and well appointed. Only complaint would be that we were not recognized as diamond members and not even offered water at check in. Location was private and breakfast was decent.

I have never slept in a Hampton Inn with this much traffic noise. Perhaps an odd numbered room on the front side of the hotel would have been better.
I think they have recently renovated and there's some lingering smell but things were clean and neat.
The elevator sounded like it was being hoisted by someone with a chain and was soooo slow. Also, no inspection certificate in place just a note saying it was available in the office.
Overall, although Hampton Inn is our go-to stay, 'll find another spot in Fort Payne in the future.

Ok at best. I stayed at this hotel for June Jam so I can get over the exorbitant price per night. I assume it’s usually more economical. Having stayed here numerous times over the years it really hasn’t improved. The staff were very helpful and friendly so I was more generous with my rating. I wasn’t expecting a five star experience but at minimum a hotel room should be clean. The carpet had crumbs and plastic clothing tags that should have been vacuumed up, what’s worse is the sheets were dirty. Two queen beds, one with small red stains visible by eye and the other with a light yellow stain that lit up under black light. Recommendation to management. Invest in a black light and hold housekeeping accountable for doing a better job.

Do not recommend.

Everything was great up until breakfast.

The woman working the breakfast area was incredibly rude to me and my son. I tried to ask for information about breakfast and it was very apparent she did not want to speak to me. She pointed and made face gestures instead of simply saying anything at all.

Then she began telling my son to be quiet and people were sleeping but there were tables of people louder than my son simply being a kid and not doing anything for that matter.

Also, for more context, we were the only people of color there and my son is autistic. I mentioned both those things because he looks atypical and she was kinder to another mother and her daughter that resembled our actions down to the same question I asked and louder than my son.

It's unfortunate in 2024 we had to experience such an unnecessary experience.

I hate to say it, but our experience at this Hampton Inn was VERY BAD. First, I need to let everyone know what “Pet Friendly” means. If you get a room next to a room with a barking dog, you are in for a long night. We had such a room. So, I asked the front desk to move us, but they said that would not be possible (that I should have realized that it was a pet friendly hotel). I complained and asked to speak to a manager, but they said I wasn’t allowed (even though the front desk had talked to a manager a few minutes earlier). I asked to cancel my reservation. They said my $200 was already spent. I then asked to check out, because I didn’t want to listen to a dog bark all night. They said I couldn’t even check out until the next day. Wow! So, we were stuck. Also, we had been previously assigned to a room that had NOT been serviced (the bed was not made and the bathroom was dirty). I almost wish we had kept that dirty room. The front desk got very hostile with me when I made the above requests. Not what I was expecting from a Hampton Inn. Definitely my last trip to Fort Payne.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Choose the Holiday Inn across the street instead! I traveled from another state to assist my senior-citizen parents with their move out of the Fort Payne area. Because my family’s belongings had been loaded into a moving truck, my parents made a reservation for us at this hotel a week in advance, so we would have somewhere to sleep. When we attempted to check in, we were proudly (and rudely) informed by the front desk worker that the hotel refuses to serve “locals.” We explained that we were moving, and the worker said she called the manager and that the manager said we could not stay there. I tried to explain to the worker that I was not local and was from out of state, but she would not acknowledge me. Our moving truck was parked next door to the hotel, but the worker refused to acknowledge that as well.

The worker said that locals cause problems and destroy rooms. I hardly think a family of senior citizens and their adult daughter presents such a risk. We were not permitted to speak with the manager and were told we could call the manager the NEXT day. We were then told to call corporate, which we did. While on the phone with corporate, the front desk worker threatened to call the police because we were standing at the desk.

After speaking with one corporate worker, he said this was unacceptable and would fix it. After being on hold for a long time, another corporate worker answered and started the process all over, only to tell us that nothing was to be done about this anti-local policy which this hotel alone has.

Luckily, we were able to go across the street to the Holiday Inn, where we were treated kindly and had a wonderful room. I am done with Hampton/Hilton after this experience. Apparently 30 years of Hampton/Hilton loyalty and honors membership means you are unwelcome at their hotels, all because of my parent’s zipcode.

Rooms are clean, service is great and there are plenty of food options available within 5-10 min drive of the hotel
