I stayed here for a work trip for 4 days about a month ago and had a great experience. The best part was the incredibly friendly staff that were super accommodating, they themselves are worth choice to stay here over any other place in the area. Additionally, the day to day service was fantastic, with the room being tidied and the towels replaced daily!

While I didn't partake in the daily breakfast, it looked delicious and was well stocked with fruit, muffins/pastries, eggs/bacon, cereal, and an other assortment of items and beverages.

The room itself was in kept in great condition and was comfortable with cable TV, a desk, and a couch. My only gripe with the room was the location of the faucet on the sink which was anchored awkwardly in the corner of the sink such that it made it more difficult than it should be to wash your hands.

Overall a great experience, any future work trips I'll book here. One final positive, is that it's located right in the center of a bunch of restaurants/fast food, as well as Kroger, which are all within a few minutes walking distance.

We stayed overnight and paid $189/night. Weeks prior we asked for a room away from heavy traffic. We were placed on first floor near side entry door. The entry door and doors to other guest rooms were startling loud preventing rest. Please make adjustments to all doors to be more quiet. Room was okay but the plastic covering over the mattress made squeeky noise with every movement. We did not sleep well prior to another long day of travel. This was not worth the high price. Breakfast with the usual expected fare, but the eggs were rubbery and biscuits/ gravy was cold. Room did not seem recently renovated as other reviews mention. Bathroom shower needs more attention with cleaning or replacement.

The rooms are very clean & comfortable. My significant other and I have stayed twice now, and the rooms are always as you’d expect. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We went to a cheaper hotel on the way home last time and you could definitely feel the quality difference. This is definitely our go-to. Highly recommended booking your reservation.

I left a one star because Halton Inn needs to do customer service training for the morning crew. I checked in three days ago.

On the first morning, The warmest water I got was barely luke warm. On my way to breakfast, I told the desk person (man and a lady there) about the water. The man had an indifferent attitude like I was bothering him. Seeing the rudeness and indifference, I told him in a strong manner, to have it fix or to change my room. The water issue was fixed when I got back

This morning, 4/14, 5:50:a.m. I went to load my my car. On the way in, the inner door was locked (security .. kudos!) and would not open with my room key card. I stood in the cold (37⁰, shielded by the outer door). I ended pounding on the door for about two minutes before he came out (same guy). Instead of apologizing, he exhibited the same indifferent attitude.

This guy needs some serious customer service training. He is the "first contact" people has with the company. Not good first impression.

On a positive note, the lady who prepares the breakfast is super nice. The afternoon desk crew is very nice!

Needed a place to stay during long drive....got too tired to continue. They sadly charged us the full amount still even though we checked in after midnight and left early....
But room was clean and comfortable at least.

The hotel is nice and welcoming overall. Cleanliness, besides under the beds look nice, staff is super nice and helpful. Gave us a few coupons for Roosters & Texas Roadhouse, free breakfast as well but might as well skip that with freezer burnt sausage . The downsides are the shower water pressure, there’s mold in the air vent, bathroom isn’t insulated whatsoever, no hot sink water unless it takes a decade to heat up, and put a bell at the front desk so people don’t have to holler for an employee to be at the front desk. Not to mention only 1 elevator for a three floor hotel and it feels like you’re gonna die every time you go in it. Shaky and and unsafe. Maybe get it checked once in a blue moon?

We arrived late in the evening after a 8hr drive, the doors were locked and no employee could be found despite calling the lobby per the posted sign. A hotel guest let us in (it was December and snowing) and said he had been walking around waiting for the front desk staff. For another 20min we waited to try and check in and no staff came out. Finally my husband was able to locate the front desk staffer in a room watching tv. He was clearly bothered by our interruption and proceeded to tell us he was “on a break”. At 11pm I get that staff is limited at best but it’s the front desk job to check people in.

The room was bare bones and clean. The shower has hair all over the shampoo bottles and drain. The food for breakfast was awful and the waffle maker wasn’t functioning.

We spoke to a manager in the morning who tried to make it right, she gave us a lot of reward points and noted a room would be comped. We stayed two more nights and checked out. The room was not in fact comped and the manager had quit by the following Monday. I have yet to have a manager reach out to the 5 voicemails and inquiries I have left regarding it.

Stay at the other Hampton Inn in Vandalia it was much better, and where we thought we were staying in the first place.

Awesome check in process with Denise! Our oom accommodation request were perfect! The breakfast was fair, I'm sure the sausage was done but it just didn't look appetizing. The kitchen help was friendly and allowed us to read the sausage box for gluten, thankfully there was none. Since my wife has a gluten allergy, this was very important to us! The rooms appeared updated and clean. The only two negatives I would give is lack of parking spaces and our bathroom sink was almost not usable due to the location of the water spout. You couldn't get your hands completely under it without getting water all over the counter. Missed planed or missed located? Overall a great stay, will plan to check availability again if needed.
