This place is awful. When we apprached the hotel and noticed the trash and how poorly mainted on the inside we knew it was not good. We checked in and went to our room. The first then that hit it was the smell. A stinky, putrid smell. My wife went into the bathroom and found an empty whiskey bottle on the shelf under the sink. Wow. It just got worse from there. Filthy, dirty, smelly. I simply cant understand how this place carries the Hampton Inn loge.

What a great staff!!! Shanda at the front desk was awesome! We needed adjourning rooms and she (and the good lord) made it happen!

Horrible experience. There was a dirty washcloth and hair in the shower. The bed squeaked so bad I couldn't sleep. The air conditioner was loud and squeaky, too.

I called the desk and asked to change rooms. The clerk said he didn't know how to do that. So I checked out at 2 AM. I asked for a refund. The clerk said he didn't know how to do that either. I asked for the manager to call me and give me a refund. No one called me.

I called the hotel on a Monday and asked for a refund. When the person picked up the phone, it rattled for 15 seconds before someone even spoke. The person who answered was not very friendly or professional. They said only the manager could issue a refund and he was out until Friday.

I called the corporate office. They created a case for me. They said someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. No one called.

I called corporate again. They said the Hampton Inn Americus had agreed to give me a 50% refund. Completely unacceptable. Very poor customer service.

I find most Hampton Inns very nice. I will never again, however, stay at Hampton Inn Americus.

UPDATE: I was promised a 50% refund, but they never delivered. More reason to avoid Hampton Inn Americus at all costs. I'd stay in a fleabag motor court hotel before I stayed at Hampton Inn Americus. At least you'd know what you were getting.

Nice place. Wary of booking after reading some reviews but would book again after two day stay. Checked in at 130 am without incident other than some rowdy teens had spilled over to the parking lot from the business next door. Police handled that situation efficiently. Parking was tight as hotel was full. There is a microwave and small refrigerator in room. TV gets basic channels. WiFi runs 4-5 mbps (slow). Good cell signal in room. Yes, room is dated but clean, generally quiet and secure. I saw one small bug for a two day stay, but I get occasional bugs in my house as well. Overall a good place. Walmart supercenter and fuel stations not far away. Overall a good experience.

it's an older hotel, but I have to leave a positive review, the rooms were very clean and the COFFEE was always FRESH. they ruined me for other hamptons coffee. staff is very friendly and I like being walking distance to Ruby tuesday - SALAD BAR.

Johnny was very nice courteous and showed great hospitality, my room clean and my family had a comfortable stay. Way to Go Hampton Inn!!
