This Hampton Inn was older than most I have stayed in and one which allows pets. I did not know they allowed animals when I checked in. The room was clean and tidy. Exactly what you would expect from Hampton Inn. The woman at check in was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good, the travel bags were plentiful. The reason I knocked off a star was because they allowed pets. I have never stayed in a Hampton that allowed pets. I have allergies to dogs and I wouldn't have stayed there had I known. That's my fault for not asking. BUT, my room had a slight doggy odor and when I got on the elevator I noticed a strong urine smell and the whole floor was covered in dog pee. The rest of my stay I could smell "animal" all around that area. Gross. I love Hampton Inn but from now on I will always ask about pets.

Our stay here has been great. The location is right off I-10 so make it ideal to get wherever you want to go. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff has been helpful and congenial. Breakfast is included and a very good variety of items to choose from. Will gladly stay here again every time I am in Tuscon.

Stayed for a week in 2008 while they renovated. Came back 11/2010 and had the whirlpool suite and the room was very nice. The whirlpool is located within the bathroom which is a room within itself. Although next to the elevator it was quiet and had the best time, plus free refreshments in the fridge. Will be back.

A Good Experience Because of the Staff

Most of these reviews are accurate, and I'm merely confirming them. Generally speaking, this is a dated property which is well-located for the I-10 traveller.

The room was clean.
The AC worked well.
You could hear highway traffic but the AC drowned it out mostly.
The breakfast was hot and varied and hit the spot.
Coffee available around the clock, INCLUDING decaf.
Late model TV
The staff is friendly and helpful.

My price was like 70 bucks, which was a screaming deal up next to most places I stay in the east. This is a good one, folks. Not a palace, but perfect for that road-trip overnighter.

Really, 3+. Nice pool, good location to lots of local restaurants, clean and cozy. It is hard to get into from the road, the taxi drivers missed the entrance a few times. There is a running path nearby. Overall, a good spot when in town, though a bit far from downtown area without a car.

Hotel was super clean in and out. Pool was spotless. But most important the staff was super friendly. Security guy showed us the spot to park our truck. Front desk ladies were very nice. One of the best experiences overall.

Update: Customer service for this hotel called and went out of their way to make me less unhappy with the experience. You just don't see that these days, I'd definitely give them a second chance.

We got a pet friendly room for a one night stay. The entire floor, room, and elevators smelled like sweaty wrestling mats from the gym. The bathroom wasn't particularly clean looking, but I think it was because the tub was older. The beds and bedding were quite clean. The pool was greenish and had leaves in it.
We also went down for the breakfast at 8:30--they serve breakfast from 6AM to 10AM. It was mainly defrosted frozen pastries, cereal, and waffles. The other Hampton Inns I've stayed at at least had breakfast meats, etc. We wound up driving partway home and looking for food in Casa Grande, because this hotel is in a sketchy area of town and we didn't want to drive further in to Tucson for food.
It's 2 days later and I haven't received my emailed check out receipt even though I called yesterday afternoon to inquire about it. We definitely won't be staying here again.

Great location right off the freeway, right next to a Circle K for extra necessities. Great breakfast with a lot of options. You have to go a little ways away from the hotel for better food options but it's well worth it. Really clean, comfortable, and quiet.
