Apologies guys, this is going to be a long one because these guys were that good! To start our waitress Karli was fantastic. She was very attentive, friendly, and had solid recommendations. The GM Danny also stopped by our table and took the time to tell us a little bit of the history of Hammet House and talk shop about some of his favorite menu items. Needless to say the service was fantastic! The food may have been an even bigger surprise y'all. My wife and I decided to start with the trio sampler with mozz sticks, fried pickles, and fried green tomatoes. The batter was crunchy and flavorful, and the fry temp was perfect, so each item was fork tender. For our entree's we decided to get the hawaiin chicken and the fried catfish. The cornmeal batter on the catfish was excellent, crunchy with just a touch of heat. The catfish itself was flakey, moist, and wasn't fishy at all. The chicken paired very well with grilled pineapple which helped to add moisture and a bit of sweetness. Since this was our first time we also decided to grab dessert. Chocolate chip peanut butter pie, and the brownie delight skillet were our choices and boy did they deliver. Hammet House is well know for their pies and the peanut butter one slapped. It was silky smooth with a nice pop of peanut butter flavor that left you wanting more. The brownie delight skillet was the biggest surprise of all. Bathed in some amalgamation of caramel and possibly brandy? The brownie was crunchy on the edges and moist in the center. This dessert was rich so please be prepared to share! Over all Hammet House was a 10/10 for good country cooking that delivers some impressive flavors.

Wanted to try Hammett House due to all the great reviews. However my Livers came out overdone and the main meal consisting of meatloaf and mashed potato’s was just ok. The manager was my server and was very accommodating while also removing my Livers off the order. The thing that bothers me is why would the manager serve the food that she should clearly see was way overdone and that most people would probably send back. Not sure at this time if I will return.

Nice, friendly, home cooking. We started with the onion blossom as our appetizer. It was bland and uncooked in areas. The dipping sauces were interesting. They were kind enough to take it off our bill when we pointed out that it was undercooked. We had the chicken fried steak, chicken livers, and catfish poboy for our entrees. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Sides were very good. The glazed carrots and homemade mashed potatoes with gravy were quite good. Atmosphere scores a little low for me as it starts to feel crowded if anyone is seated nearby but the restaurant is clean and the friendliness of the staff makes up for it. If you are in Claremore, you should try it!

Wow! This place was an incredible find! Busy Saturday night, and only waited about 10 minutes. Greeted by a very friendly and cheerful waitress who then stayed on top of drink refills without needing to be asked, checked on us multiple times throughout the meal to make sure we had all our dining needs met. A manager looking fellow came over a couple of times as well to make sure our food was good and correct, and then later to make sure we had excellent service. The food was excellent quality! Best liver and onions I’ve ever had. The blooming onion was huge and perfectly fried, and came with 3 different types of dips and all were delicious! The Chokes and Cheese appetizer was amazing and the chips had a seasoning on them that make them standout from other places. The onion rings were huge and the fried chicken was cooked to perfection. All in all, well worth the 45 minutes drive for us to want to come back and bring family with us! 10/10

Clean place, nice waitress. I got the fried mushrooms, good sized and not button mushrooms. The chicken fried steak was great, I liked that it wasn't all breading, it just had a light layer. It allowed me to actually enjoy the taste of the steak. I still think I got the wrong dessert. But the cook swears that I got a really dark brown Fluffy cookie and not the brownie. It was still delicious.

Amazing!! Definitely what you'd call "home cooking," excellent flavor, everything I ate was great!! Service was good, and to top it off the prices are great too! Absolutely will be back!

By far one of the best restaurants that I have been to! The wait staff was incredible! The food was soooo good. You have to try the seasoned green beans. They are out of this world. My pork chops were so tender I could cut them with a fork. Don't forget to order your dessert before your meal to get a discount on it
