Stayed in a floating cabin. There was a lot that we liked about it, and a lot we did not. The location and view of the dam and the cool factor of staying in a house boat is great! The fact that the couch was filthy (went and bought blankets to cover them), overall cleanliness, drain not working in the stand up shower, and the condition and working order of the stovetop and available pots/pans were less than desirable. We made friends with the cat, River, and the ducks at the cabin (they came up to visit often), and the goats Maryanne, Whiskey and Bourbon in the parking lot. The owner was very friendly; we just hope some upgrades and attention can be given for the inside of the cabin.

The place itself is very beautiful. My friends rented a 3 bedroom floating cabin. It wasn't very clean. Dirt on the ceiling, some of the dishes had food particles still on them, the heat didn't work, had 1oil heater and another smaller one to heat the 3 bedrooms, doesn't have a oven at all even though it says they do, couches stunk, under the couch cushions were dirty, dirt around the base boards, and couldn't even take a warm shower because you only had about 1 minute of luke warm water.
Friday night was awesome. We we able to listen to music and actually relax and enjoy ourselves, our neighbors in cabins 5 and 6 were very nice, they told us all that if we needed anything to come over and ask they might have it. No issues of any kind. Everyone was awesome.
Saturday night was a different story. Evidently some of the new neighbors didn't like the fact that we were playing music during the day light hours and some of us were dancing and having a good time. I thought that was what a get away was all about?¿? And watch out because some people will lie about you smoking pot there also. We don't do illegal things like that but they were sort of rude to us in a way when they came to talk to us. More than willing to take drug tests to even prove it but they need to pay for them.
Don't know that we will ever go back to stay overnight again. It was 500 for the weekend 100 for cleaning fee which clearly wasn't done before we checked in. We left it cleaner when we left. Only because 2 wrongs don't make a right. We were the bigger people and cleaned like it should have been when we got there. We also got charged an extra 66 to park our 2 trucks and boat trailers for 3 whole days. We checked in at 3 pm Friday and were gone by 8:30 Sunday morning. How was that 3 whole days?¿?
And that was just at one of our floating cabins.
Rip off if you ask me. That's my opinion and my 1st experience at this place.

We recently stayed in a floating cabin. Upon our 1st night of arriving, we had went out for a few hours only to find out our toilet ran the entire time filling up the holding tank of the cabin and overfilling onto our floor. I called the "emergency number" and the lady, that answered, said she had quit 3 years ago but the owners wouldn't take her number off the sheet. I found another number where I received no answer or response to our problem. The next morning we found a maintenance person (she was very nice) and told her about the situation. It took until 4:30 that afternoon before it was cleaned up. Nothing was fixed, but instead a towel was put around the base of the toilet in case it happened again. By how the bathroom floor looked, this wasn't the 1st time this had happened. We had to ask several times for wash clothes and sometimes we would receive them and sometimes we wouldn't. The cabin was VERY dirty and it looked as if the kitchen sink had been painted. We asked for some money back for our terrible experience and they just keep saying they need to talk to a manager and they will get back to us. We are still waiting for a call back. I would not recommend wasting your time and money staying here. The owners obviously don't care about pleasing their customers.

My wife and I travel to Hales Bar Marina twice a year and each time we are there, we have a awesome time. From the moment we check in to the time we leave, the staff go out of their way to make our stay memorable. They never disappoint. Infact we have adopted the entire staff at Hales Bar Marina into our family. We love you guys.

We stayed in a floating cabin. They were clean and had all necessary towels, linens, dishes, etc. The big perk for me was once you put your boat in the water you could dock it up next to your cabin. I do wish they had better WiFi, it was pretty much worthless and there is almost no cell service with Verizon or AT&T in that location. The beds were sagging in the middle as well. Other than that I enjoyed it and will stay there again.

This place is absolutely amazing. Klarisa gave us an amazing tour of the distillery. The other bartender (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name) made us a delicious "redneck Bora Bora" drink. We've had such an incredible experience here. Love the floating cabin. Love the people. Love this place

I love fishing and this place offers amazing fishing BUT the ceiling fan in the floating cabin did not work . The window air conditioner barely worked ….. the last day it broke . We asked for an extra fan and never got one . The cabin was very clean and would have been a four star but with no circulation and half working air conditioner it sucked . It was hot AF . The people next to use also had a barely working air conditioner and they did get moved to a different cabin with air conditioning . It was okay ….. would I recommend it …… probably not. My main goal was to fish and we did catch some beauty’s ….

We stayed 3 nights at this place . The cabin was clean , well set up for our time there . The bed was comfy and provided a good night's sleep . It was awesome to wake up to the view of the lake and the mountains around us . We loved fishing from our front porch , and caught our first ever large mouth bass . The staff was wonderful , very friendly and helpful . We stayed at other fish camps this summer , and this one did not disappoint us . It was exactly what we were looking for , R&R .
